American Truck Simulator Trailers

One of the many problems we are coping with when building American Truck Simulator is handling the trailers. The regulations for overall tractor and trailer length are mostly stricter across Europe, and this made our life easier when designing the intersections and teaching the AI truck drivers to take the turns there.

In the ATS road system, we are pursuing two goals that are a bit difficult to combine for our tech - including a choice of longer trailers and yet at the same time spicing up the game by having tighter places to maneuver through. We believe that we have come up with the right creative solutions to crack this problem, and we hope that you will enjoy the trailer variety and driving challenge.

    2. In America we adjust the rear set of axles on our trailers either forward to shorten the turning radius or backwards to lengthen the turning radius. Also we adjust the trailers to carry the appropriate weight over the axles so we will not be overweight on a given set of axles.

    3. SWIFT=Sure Wish I had a Faster Truck. Well, it would be cool if ATS had the ability to move the tandems and 5th wheel. Also would be cool to have the CAT scales and get fined for not being at the correct weight at the weigh stations.

  7. Well, the American road system is not like the European. In USA the roads are mostly straight, unlike the ones in Norway and Scandinavia in general. So it's OK for them to have the axle way at the back of the trailer, which makes it more difficult to handle in tight turns, but it's easier to park them in reverse.

  10. In Canada anyways, trucks hauling double trailers have stricter road choices, and also are restricted to 90 kilometers per hour.

    I would not mind having the challenge of having to plot my own route depending on how long my trailer was, or even how tall it is, especially since you guys made it so you can plot your own custom route. Also keep up the good work guys, I can not wait for this game!

    1. I don't think those restrictions apply to most doubles - just LCV's which are two 53' trailers. At least that's my understanding of Ontario's take on things.

    2. In the U.S. it is mostly what Alec said, tandem 53 foots can only go on things like interstate highways or in my area, the thurway. Tandem 'Pups', the smaller trailers, can go most places, for the most part as long as it fits the weight limit, your good. I would love to see features like this in the game.

  14. So different trailer combinations are available in limited states for the US of LCV (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Long_Combination_Vehicle) which would be difficult to implement. However the STAA double in the wikipedia link is federally legal so therefore used in all states. A STAA double is 2 28.5 ft trailers linked with a single axle 5th wheel pup. It would be awesome to have these as well. They are mainly used by less than truck load operators such as Fedex frieght, SAIA, YRC, etc, also a lot of rock or dirt haulage uses a type of STAA trailer system, a google search will revel many of them. These should be implemented.

    1. A number of stores are also running doubles, Von Maur, JC Penny, Target is starting to on select routes, Pepsi, Coca-Cola and then you also have the Rocky Mountain doubles. Beyond that, several western states allow long doubles and heavy doubles, up to 17 axles on the full combo for Wyoming, Oregon has no issue with double 33' trailers with two axles per trailer. Then you get into the different types of doubles, A B or C. As a truck driver, the C doubles are the most flexible, they are also popular in Mexico and becoming more popular in Canada, but not at all popular in America, the A double is the only option legal nationwide.

  17. are you putting the ability of sliding axles due to load weights/rules in USA and also in CA they have a lower max weights due to fix places for the trailer axles as well.

  20. If you wanted to implement roads from ETS2 to ATS - simply copy, past, that won't gonna work. You have to keep the proper proportions: truck with trailer and the road, as in real life, that's all. If in the USA trucks with longer trailers ride on the roads, in the game you can do the same. No problem.

    Yeah...in 10 years when the game finally release...with this time taking theres in NO way ATS will release at the end of this year...ive been drooling and dreaming of playing ATS since ive played 18 WoS games alot for me ATS is really something big and epic but this waiting time is just torture now not much hype anymore....oh well ...i hope i dont die and miss out ATS :(

    2. Sure, SCS could release an early alpha version now. But it would be full of bugs, have a lot of scenery missing, have plenty of lag, and be barely playable—and then you'd be complaining about all of that.

      Or they could release an early beta version in a few months, which would have bugs, missing scenery, lag, and have limited gameplay—and then you'd be complaining about all of that.

      Or they could finish the game first, then release a fully functional version—and then you'll probably complain about the wait, the price, and the fact that ATS will not be a freebie for people who purchased ETS2 (or even a freebie for everyone).

      They're not going to hire more developers and put in more hours per week just because you resort to namecalling, so just go play ETS2 and wait for the release announcement for ATS. It will come when it's ready.

      Come on guys, lets be honest, ETS2 is a poor game as far as it goes for graphics and optimisation, and ATS doesnt look far better either.
      I like this game, i play it and probabily i will buy ATS to when it comes out. But lets face it, SCS didnt even scratch the surface with what this game could be. And if some big company would come out with a similar game but with 2016 graphics and game engine, i would forget all about ETS/ATS/SCS and what not...

  24. It would be nice to see some of these changes make their way into ETS2. Without mods to add long and wide trailers as well as more difficult parking areas and roads it gets boring quite quickly.

    You could easily add wide, long, and heavy loads to ETS2 with a new leveling mechanic like ADR so only the people that want the challenge can enable them.

    A system to add dynamic difficulty to roads and parking areas would also be welcomed. Things similar to the roadworks would be great on the roads. Perhaps having to take a diversion down a narrow lane for example. With the new navigation system it would be easy to plan alternate routes to avoid challenging areas.

  28. Good work, SCS. It's a step in the right direction in addressing trailer length, but this game is still lacking realism. It's not so much the lengths we're concerned about, but we deperately need doubles and triples in ATS. If you can make cabin accessories, then you have time and the staffing to make double/triple trailers. That and you also need to bring back the feature of owning your own trailer like in Haulin, that was a feature we all loved to have and made the game more enjoyable. Please SCS, don't mind those who are pushing you to release the game quicker, but mind those who are asking for these essential features that we need in ATS and also an add-on to ETS2.

  33. "90% similar with ETS2" - It's a trucking game. What the hell do you expect? Everything besides the gameplay is different.
    Trucks - Check
    Trailers - Check
    Scenery & Location - Check
    Prefabs - Check (All are scratch-made for ATS first and then some are brought over to ETS2, NOT the other way around)

    Again, it's a trucking game, you drive from point A to B (and MAYBE even C in the future for both games), that's it, hardly any different anywhere else in the world.

    The reason it didn't take so long for them to make the ETS2 map is because they reused the maps (AND trucks/trailers) from their previous games (guess what, people are still complaining about that). ATS's map is being built from the ground up, so it takes time to make it high quality and without bugs. Map mods are made quicker because they spend ALL day making them, are not high in quality, and are filled with bugs. SCS is a business and they can only do so much during WORK HOURS, FIVE days a week.

    ETS2 DID have licenses in the release, but not all of them. And people did complain about not having them all licensed. So SCS wants to get all the current trucks licensed BEFORE they release the game to avoid the inevitable whiners and criers.

    Also, It takes them about 6 months to complete a truck model, not a year. (That's without having to wait for licensing approval of course.)

    Re-read the blog post please. There isn't an issue with trailers working themselves, they said they want to have longer trailers while still having areas with tight maneuverability. You're probably thinking "Why can't they have both?" Well they do, as they clearly showed us how they fixed that issue in the post. (The first image that shows the tank trailer (with what I assume to be counter-steering tyres at the back) is a clue)

    I don't know where you got the impression that double trailers were "presented in 2014" as you put it. The only thing I think you are talking about is the tandem trucks (they aren't same, by the way) and they are currently working on that as a new chassis has recently been discovered for the New Actros in the game files, plus, there are 7 manufacturers in ETS2, that's 14 trucks (that's including the upcoming MAN Euro 6) that they have to create chassis for to work with the tandem trailers (Again, tandems are different from double trailers) and that takes time to make.

    A game developing studio with 50 employees is STILL a small company, you can't expect them to be throwing out games every year like EA does or whatever company that make Call of Duty now and still be high quality at the same time.

    Get some glasses or a better monitor, the images have hardly ANY aliasing on my screen.

    Fair enough, however, I would be willing to argue that ONE PERSON working 9-5, Mon-Fri (40 hours per week) AND.... all by themselves (without any help whatsoever) could develope ATS in "10 years".

    NOTE: 40 hours per week X 52 weeks/year X 10 years = 20,800 working hours

    Here on this website there is a blog posted by SCS, dated September 6, 2013... which advertises the coming of ATS. That was about 110 work weeks ago (or 4400 work hours).

    Now if my argument is correct.... that one person could create ATS by themselves in 20,800 work hours (40 hours per week X 10 years).... then its only fair to assume that SCS could complete the same task in the same time frame.

    If SCS appointed 5 people (from your agrument of 50 employees) to work on the ATS project.... then over the last 110 weeks that would total 4400 work hours X 5 people = 22,000 work hours (which is more total work hours than the one single person working alone for 10 years).

    I admit however that my argument depends on the ability of one single person, working 40 hours per week, being able to create from scratch the ATS game (all by themselves) in a 10 year period.

  37. Understandable, but you also have to figure in the fact that all five aren't doing the same job and some of them depend on the other so they can do their own job. For example, the person who makes the textures for prefabs, trucks, etc. can't do anything until the person who creates the models finishes their work or gets them to a stage to be textured. And you also have to consider (in those 110 work weeks) employee vacations, illness, holidays, etc.

  38. I appreciate the argument you're trying to make but.....

    (1) The single person (in the 10 year period) would be attributed to the same vacation, illnesses, holidays, etc.

    (2) The single person would also have to wait for work to be done, before being able to progress.

    The above examples are "constants". The "variable", which the single person doesn't have the asset of, is being able to work on 5 different projects at the exact same time.... which the group of 5 employees can do... thus speeding up production.

According to the study of Economics (and widgets, basics of the assembly line) it is understood that its possible for 4 people to complete the same work in 1 hour that 1 person can complete in 5 hours.... thus saving 1 hour of productivitiy time. (4 people working 1 hour = 4 hours work ... opposed to the individual person working 5).

    Using this example its understood that it would take 1 person a work week of 40 hours to complete the same amount of work that 4 people could do in 8 hours (just 1 work day)... saving 8 hours of productivity time.

  43. Looking good, but this needs to be more Convoy-esque.. That game was okay with the exception of the fact that it was glitchy af and you couldn't even save the d*mn thing during a delivery. I think SCS should use their good graphics and gameplay developments from ETS2 and integrate them to make a new and improved 18 Wheels of Steel. My personal favorites were PTTM, Convoy, and Across America. However, I do kind of like the new trailers and such all said and done. Like the new look of the companies as well.

  44. Seeing as you're finally on the subject of trailers, I have a sincere question: What the hell are your trailer models based on? They all look so fictional or out of place except for a few of them. Like I've said before, I think you should put just as much effort into making realistic looking models of them just as much as the trucks. You don't have to put brands on them either, just make the models with blank or fake logos, I don't really see why anyone should care. And as long as you're talking about length, a 53' dryvan would be nice instead of that little pup trailer you call a dryvan. I don't even know what the deal is with that side curtain trailer you have there, but it doesn't look like anything I've seen over here.

    4. Well... I can't say that I defend the assumed 98% claim..... but, if I were to generalize....

      ...... You can't fairly claim that ATS is a different game than ETS2 because one has American Trucks, and the other has Euro Trucks.... anymore than you can claim that you are suddenly playing a different game because you're now driving a Scania, rather than an Iveco.

      In fact, I only use American Trucks when I play ETS2 so ATS (in the sense of trucks) won't seem all that different for me than what i'm already playing.

      As for roads/locations. If I recall, the Scandinavia DLC gave us exactly that, different roads, locations, and prefabs, but still, NOT a different game.

      ATS is nothing more than an ETS2 DLC being sold as a "standalone" plugin. SCS is using the same game engine for ATS, which means the game code is a simply copy and paste.

      I haven't seen, or heard, of anything yet that makes ATS stand out from ETS2, enough, to call it, or even hint that maybe it might be, a different game. Other than longer trailers, and multiple parking spots on deliveries.

      Is Kenworth and Peterbilt different than DAF and Scania? Yes. But then again, Man and Renault is different than DAF and Scania too. Still same game.

    6. I'm going to say that a User Interface does not make up 98% of the game. Especially since the way a menu is configured shouldn't be a big flippin' deal to you (because the main purpose of the game is to drive the trucks and deliver cargo, not stare at the menu icons). Ever heard of the phrase "If it ain't broke, don't fix it?" The way the menu is right now works perfectly fine as it is. Plus, you're upset that A PARKING sign is the same... seriously, grow up. The menu icon IMAGES are different from ETS2's in the case that they are now American-themed. And the physics (FOR THE LAST TIME) ARE NOT restricted to the game engine, they are easily changed via a "physics.sii" file in the base folder. I've told you this before, CAREFULLY watch the 1-hour ATS video again, and you will CLEARLY see that the trucks don't react the same as ETS2's as they are changed and adapted to behave like American trucks.

      Except you CAN say they are different because of the very fact that the trucks are obviously TWO DIFFERENT design styles (Conventional vs Cabover) which should clearly show you that you are playing a game different from the other, especially the way they drive. And obviously Scania and Iveco won't seem different from each other because they're BOTH cabovers and are in the SAME game. Even the second (if not equally) biggest part of the game, LOCATION/SCENERY, should tell you the differences, ATS's San Francisco and Los Angeles definitely look different from ETS2's Stockholm or ANY of its cities.

      Scandinavia DLC doesn't seem like a different game because it WASN'T designed to be a different game, it was designed as a euro-based add-on to a EURO-based game and still recycled some pre-existing prefabs.

      You only use American trucks in ETS2 so you already acknowledge the differences between the two types of trucks. So of course it won't seem different truck-wise because you don't DRIVE the euro trucks. If you thought that it was the same, then you would be driving the euro trucks instead. And it will definitely seem different to you when you drive down a highway in ATS vs a motorway in ETS2. If you can't see those differences, you need glasses.

      Kenworth and Peterbilt are different from Scania and DAF because one pair are CONVENTIONAL TRUCKS and the other pair are CABOVER TRUCKS. Scania, DAF, Renault, and MAN are not different in a GENERAL sense BECAUSE of the fact that they are ALL cabovers.

    7. If they do the job correctly, there is a massive difference in American trucks VS Euro trucks. Our trucks are longer, but then you get to choose how long over here, some go out to wheelbases of well over 300", the trailers are a lot longer and we don't use cool tech like steering axles in almost any form other than "dummy"(kinetic) axles. Our weights are lower as standard, but then in some states, they can haul 80 tons on 11 axle trucks. Some areas run trailers as long as 57', which should result in a bit of a challenge to park.

      This all hinges upon if they ignore people criticizing them and do a correct and thorough job at creating a base game

      Calling ATS a different game than ETS2 is like.... calling Windows 8.1 a different operating system than Windows 8.

      Personally, all I see is the same UI, with a tad bit of a facelift to make it "look" different (ie; trucks/roads/buildings). But looks aside.... ATS is STILL the same game as ETS2 in the same sense that Windows 8.1 is the same operating system as Windows 8 (with some tweeks).

      To suggest that ATS is a different game than ETS2 there must be notable differences between the two games (ie; Windows 7 vs Windows 8). There must be different features, abilities, options, that in some way change the "gameplay" aspect of the game enough to consider this change as fair indication of a "different" experience.... rather than a "Deja Vu" type of experience.

      Using your opinion, I should say that i'm not playing ETS2 at all... because....

      A) I use only American Trucks, which is not part of the ETS2 game.
      B) I use TSM map, rather than the vanilla map that comes with ETS2.

      So currently, I am not using ETS2 as officially offered by SCS. There are many people using mods to play the game, which change the ETS2 game to match your opinion that constitutes a different game. Different map, trucks, buildings, locations, lighting, physics, etc.

      But technically, are we playing a different game than ETS2 because of using these mods? Or are we all playing the same game still... despite the mods.

      In my opinion, ATS is NOT a different game than ETS2, as much as its still ETS2 with mods.

    9. Well SCS is a small company, to small for a bigger project. They do a good job with the continuous updates and occasional dlc's but, like i said they are to small for what this game could be.

    10. Its not about the size of the company. Its about the fact that SCS doesn't prioritize very well. They are not very good at allocating their resources properly. You suggest SCS is a small company. Fair enough then... why waste their limited staff resources on creating freaking dice and other miscellanious cabin items? There are many other areas of the game that actually NEED attention.... but they create dice instead.

      ATS isn't about giving us all something new. Its about selling us the same game again. As I stated above. ATS is just ETS2 with mods. I already have the Russian map mod installed on my ETS2 game. ATS will be just another map mod i'll add to my mod folder. I'm already using american trucks in the game so..... whats new there?

  51. It's getting so boring!! We hardly get any news about ATS, besides some trivial screenshots and that is really disappointing. ETS2 needs much more improvement and essential changes don't seem to happen!! To make matters worse, we only get a Cabin DLC!! I do hope that you will improve both games!

  55. It's going to be next spring before it's released, reading between the lines what they're saying is they're struggling with the game. I won't be buying it anyway, American trucks are boring and you can drive them in ETS2 anyway. They should have carried on developing ETS2 and the multiplayer side imo, it seems though that the modders know better what the players want than SCS, and do such an excellent job keeping the game alive and exciting,

    What did SCS come up with..furry dice to hang in your truck..really?? They seem to be losing their way, maybe another company (a modders conglomeration?) should take over the development completely.

      I will buy ATS and dlc's for it and ETS2, as i do love this game. All i can hope for, is that this genre will gather more and more fans, and some professional company will create their own trucking simulator.

  56. SCS, perhaps you could implement a simple line script, if the trailer is over a certain length, you have to buy a permit and it will tell you the route to take, as we do in real life. You might be able to implement it for width, height and weight as well.

    Another little feature that would be interesting would be a quarterly update that would put construction zones different places, but the would be a bit of a challenge, even for big developers.

    Yes, DX12 has already been launched but that doesn't mean that the game will run better in DX12. If SCS upgrades ETS2 from DX9 to DX12 they will loose players.
    Finally if you believe that SCS is taking too long to create a truck or a map dlc why don't you go and start making your own trucks and maps and see how long it will take YOU to create them.

      I watched the alpha gameplay and i was not impressed at all.
      Its soon to be 2016 and the game needs to look and feel like a 2016 game. ETS2 looks so old and outdated even after all the updates. Even Scandinavia DLC still has a dull look and feel to it.

"we/us"... people who likely have no skills in creating blender models.... go and design our own trucks so "YOU" can present an argument of fair justification to the length of time skilled people are taking to complete the same project.

    Of course non skilled people are going to take longer. That's not even a fair test. How about you take your advice to the people who created all the tracters for Farming Simulator 2015.... and see if they will take 2 years to create a bunch of blender models. Now THAT would be a fair test.

  64. Extremely excited guys and can't wait. Only thing I hope for is the trucks and trailers are less rigid. Trucks in real life have a good bit of suspension travel (air bag setups) and they are quite "floppy". Thanks SCS crew!

  66. It's probably to late to request this.. But I do hope ATS atleast have snow storms just like when it rains in ETS2 :( I mean.. I'm not a game engineer but wouldn't it be easy to just let the snow flurries fall like the rain does?
    In the US there are some places that gets tons of snow. Colorado for example

      It gets boring really fast driving in eternal summer with occasional rain and thunder that vary a bit in intensity. Changing seasons would be nice, bu i dont think we will see it implemented in the game. At least a more variated weather would be nice...

  67. They are developing subscript, which takes a long freaking time to do. Also, they have teams assigned to ATS that are doing nothing more than optimizing the engine, which means with each change, they have to learn how to work with the new systems, some items might need to be checked again and others will need rebuilt. Along with that, they are also creating entirely new...everything, really, new prefabs, truck models, trailers, lighting, physics, customization options, contacts, sub routines(scales and weigh stations), customers, cargo, routes, lighting engines and I am sure things we have not yet seen. Just to implement the weigh station sub routine correctly requires a lot of programming in a method nobody has done before(there haven't been weigh stations in any other truck sim I know of) and that also means that load weights now have to have a center point, to effect the axles differently.

    One change in a sub routine can cause hundreds of new bugs, the old programmers joke goes: 99 little bugs in the code, 99 little bugs, punch one bug and pass it around, 103 little bugs in the code. That is not far from the truth

    1. That would be great, but i dont think we will see that. To much animation there, and as you can see SCS doesnt really have the man power for that. Mind you that "walking mode" was something that SCS talked about before ETS2 was released, and even was even announced, but never made it in the final game.
      ETS2 is a great game with great support, and i am sure ATS will be as well. I really hope once ATS will be released this genre will pick up and maybe we will see a better developer make their own trucking simulator game.

I hope you guys make ATS better than ETS2 and 18WOS, (dont forget to use Dispatch system to communicate with other truckers like in 18WoS and the oncoming truckers signing with High Beam as an Hello! what 18WoS also got!

  79. ETS2 game engine is very old and outdated. They can tweak it here and there but thats about it.
    ATS needs to come out with a brand new game engine. And from what i have seen in the alpha gameplay, doesnt look so.
    I guess it takes lots of resources to come up with a brand new game engine so they stick with what they have. As for us, the consumers, that is not good. ETS2 is a outdated game with poor graphics and very poorly optimized and ATS just looks a bit polished version of that, but at its core its the same old game that has been around for ages.

  80. All i can say is that i hope ATS will be more of a simulator then ETS2 is. I am sick of hud's and hovering icons in the game.
    Also i think 3 things really stand out and need the most attention:
    scenery - it needs to look great and alive( ambient sound in ETS2 is awful), as far as visual goes Scandinavia DLC it goes in the right direction;
    physics - ETS2 had come a long way since it was released, with the cab movement and everything, hope ATS will see major improvement there aswell;
    inside of the cabin - most of us play from inside cab view so i think here the most improvement should be done as 90% of the gameplay is done from this position (animations, sound, dials, screens, info, customization) all need a major overhaul from the ETS2 version, i mean its great that we can customize the outside of the truck with lights, paint jobs, bull bars and so on, but how about the interior ?
    Like i said in the beginning, i hope that ATS will be more of simulator the ETS2 managed to be. And while i am here, the economy mode should be way, way more challenging for the long time players. ETS2 really sucks in that department. You make millions of euros/dollars/pounds and have nothing to spend it on, i really dont see the point of that.
    Of course some could say that having a close to real economy would result in having to play hundreds of hours to afford buying and customizing trucks in the game as you please, so for those we could have a free roam mode where you can drive any truck with any trailer and customize them the way you want.

    SCS is offering the general public their game, in return for money. I, you, and everyone else here, is part of that "general public", and have the legal Right to judge the services, policies, activities, of the business entity petitioning us for our personal property.

    1. What do you mean by that? That they don't use real life company logos and such? If thats the case, they avoid it to not have to deal with copyright laws or paying the company to use their logo.

      If you mean the design of the trailer, SCS has mentioned before that in ETS2 they had to make adjustments from real life trailer designs to simplify pathing for AI. However, stated in this blog post they say theyre doing their best to avoid doing the same for ATS. They would like to keep trailer designs as close to their real life counterparts as possible.

    2. As far as I can see SCS only mentioned improving handling and physics of longer trailers in this post. Nothing about their actual designs. The only one that looks the most like a real US trailer is the reefer, and that's just a 48' trailer with the tandems slid farther forward than they usually are. Hopefully the "choice of longer trailers" means 53' versions of the same trailer in the future.

  95. I don't know about in Europe, but in America I know truck drivers with large loads will not take certain routes or turns, and there are sometimes signs even saying trucks aren't allowed to enter, so maybe you could add that to the AI to check for trailer length.

  96. i like the whole idea of realistic trailers and places to drop them. an additional idea is putting in a way for us to buy our own trailers, this would allow people to customize the truck AND trailer and would be even more realistic as there are a lot of owner operators that own their own truck and trailer combos.

  97. Unless you're driving a day cab, in America, almost EVERY trailer is 53 ft. So I think most trailers in the game should be 53 ft, especially if you are driving a sleeper pulling a dry van or reefer. There are however a lot of local delivery trucks that are closer to 40ft and have tight tractor turning radiuses.

    Another possibility, as a few others have stated above is to make the trailer tandems adjustable as in real life. To do this, you could go create commands to set the parking brake, and tractor brake. So to slide the tandems in the game, you would simply set the tractor brakes, maybe press another button to release the tandems and then drive the tractor forward or reverse like you would in real life. This would allow user customization of the turning radius of trailer.

  98. Coming from a real american truck driver i have to say i am impressed with the progress so far. I hope there will be different trailer lengths such as 24ft, 40ft,48ft, 53ft, and some trailers can go up to 57ft and 59ft (depending on the state.) Also is there going to be doubles and triple trailers? i remember it in 18 wos haulin but you could never have multiple stops as you would in real life, as in you would drop your back trailer and still have a 24ft trailer going to another stop. But still good work, long time fan and to be honest 18 wos haulin was one of the reasons i got my CDL in real life haha

  102. I know in the west coast (including CA, LA) always have wider bends, intersections, not much as of challenge to us American truckers. On the East Coast, especially in NYC, PA, RI, VT, MA, FL states, you got yourself a challenge. In my homestate (PA), we have steep mountain regions, hauling 40+tons in the snow icey roads as well is an amazing challenge. Just a thought to add in ATS, which btw in CA, on I-5 NB has an 27,000+ elevation feet hill. Us american truckers tackle that hill about 10-15mph max on 40 tons trls. Anyways, I can't hardly wait to buy ATS once it's first released. Keep doing a great job, you guys/gals always doing an amazing job. :)
