The dangers of overhyping a game

We had an internal discussion at SCS Software recently about this blog and the amount of news and pictures that we are posting or not posting. Opposing opinions were voiced about what our strategy should be when it comes to the blog and in general to the information that we release.

Some people expressed their concern that we may be overhyping the game(s) from the point of view of the truck sim fans, that we will oversature you with information and visual material long before the game release. And when it comes to ETS2 release, we are still long way from the finish line - the final date is not yet set in stone, but it is definitely well over half a year from now!

The concern is that if we push too hard, the fans will be fed up by the time we are ready for release. And there is also the danger that so much hype will make an impression that the game is going to be so fabulous that when you see it eventually, you will be disappointed that this or that feature that you requested did not make it into the game. Euro Truck Simulator 2 may will be a huge step from our previous games, no doubt about it, but if we do not "manage expectations" of the fans properly, and the community ends up disappointed, it may hurt us a lot. Already the extra fan requests when compiled into a wish list would add another two years to the development schedule, and this is something that we just cannot afford, and we also think that you would not want to wait for so long. This is quite a lot of potential frustration that may be unleashed on us when Euro Truck 2 hits the market.

On the other hand, the blog is not traditional PR, it is not the typical big campaign marketing bombardment done for big games through big media. It is intended to satisfy the hunger for information of the most loyal fans, and it seems that the hunger is really there. And maybe it is actually bringing new fans into the community, new potential customers eagerly awaiting the release of our games.

So the big question is, should we step on the brakes a bit and post news, images and movies less frequently? Or on the other hand, should we push pedal to the metal and give you more? Well we think we know what kind of answer we will most likely hear from you, but still, we thought you should be aware that we are facing this dilemma, and wanted to hear what your opinion is in support of either side of the argument. Perhaps we can even be persuaded to start releasing information about the other truck sim game that we are still keeping in secret, even though it will be actually launched before ETS2.

One more image from Poland posted here as a way of saying thanks for reading such a long text and taking the time to think about it ;-).

Well ,as far as posting new stuff on your blog is concerned, just keep posting guys!!Am sure most of your fans including me keep visiting your blog multiple times a day just to get a glimpse of any new developments. As far as meeting the expectations of fans is concerned, you can select the must haves and include them in the game.We understand that its not possible to meet all requests and we respect whatever good work you are trying to do.Also it would be great to hear more about the other new game you are coming up with....cheers.

  5. Sinceramente não acho que possa haver decepção por parte dos fãs em relação às expectativas de ETS2. O trabalho de vocês é espetacular, mesmo que não consigam realizar todos os objetivos, ainda assim será satisfatório.

  7. Don't worry about disappointing!
True fans of your games always know what they are waiting for, and they won't be disappointed. On the other hand, success of the game depends on your development team. I mean if you call the game fabulous, fans will think the same.
All you have to do - tell the truth about project. Don't exaggerate too much =)

  11. You're absolutely right that the fear of it. A series of games has gradually become boring and annoying. With each new game you leave something better behind, but something worse add. Only the schedule progresses and then the GTS is not that good to be so demanding regarding the ETC - the changes are minimal. You need to concentrate on the most significant that can be really focus and improve the image of your games. Think about what attracted gamers in your games - it's not only graphics and original traced to the last detail trucks.
    obvious disadvantages:
    - The monotony of the game world, the monotony of the game situation, the economy on the whole map
    - No way to get pleasure from driving due to lack of sophisticated road sections, traffic management, competition, alternatives to business
    - Stupid unrealistic traffic
    - Lack of traffic police
    - Lack of flexible mechanisms of Business (Economics) - loans, real estate, competition, firms carriers in the transportation market
    - Lack of replayability - no incentive to go through the entire game and not something such, that would be kept in suspense throughout the game
    - Ugly standard models of trailers
    - A terrible rain, especially the view from the cockpit

  14. I agree with you that if you post many features from the new game(ETS2)so early it might get less interesting when its released, because it won't be a huge surprise anymore. However, it would be cool to know the people who develop the games (little intervews with different departments, how the work is done - without technical info...)
About the other game: SCS, give us a light! It has been really secret since you've mentioned it long ago!

    Keep the fine work SCS!

And also we will like to see list of features or sth like that...and also if you wanna keep secret some of them, then be so. But you must tell use how many secret features there is...then people will really know what to expect :)

You must know that all you need is more interesting road situation:
    - dynamic works on roads
    - possibility of car crashes
    - some unpredicted situations
    - ai traffic needs to be more intelligent for sure!

  22. Hi, I'm really impressed of the images you've posted so far.

And if you just keep giving us a bone now and then (like ones a week) with new pictures/videos. And some info.
It don't need to be much, just feed us a little bit of the progress.
Then will atleast i be even more interested for the upcoming release.
But i don't need to know every little thing about the upcoming game, that's just stupid and leave nothing for me to explore later on.

So it's an other project going on as well, now you made me curios.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Just continue your work scs and dont show us any more :) I think that would be better

    ReplyDelete
  24. i think u should still show us some things but not all for example you could give us more detail about the trucks and the interiors but keep secrets about the map to suprise us when we buy the game. or the other way around your choice scs but if you keep giving away some screenshots it will keep us in "can't wait for the game" mode

    ReplyDelete
  25. keep the info coming, when we see more we love it! if you post less fans will not check as much on game progress! which we dont want, could we have air, lights, airbrake cables on the lorries in the new ETS2 and have a function like (j) attach/deattach cables to trailer etc, if you dont attach the cables you have no trailer lights, brakes!

Keep up the good work Scs!

Btw is the other game a lorry game?!

  26. On one forum I read that you can to make dirty windows in the truck, and the same will be dirty. To a washer to remove the dirt. Please give so and then it will be more realistic.
Good luck with further work on the game.

  27. Well, you're also in the game, so why not take some pictures of their studio, show off your work. There must not be the game you post a little of all the time. Might be fun to see and know more about who people that stand behind this great game. (=

  28. I can not believe!!! It is a really great job, congratulations! This simulator is becoming a great success! A tip: I think that would be perfect to implement the opportunity of overturning of the truck, for greater realism. Sorry for my bad english ;)

  29. First of all say that I have my text translated with Google translator.

About what to teach more images or videos about the game I think that if we teach a lot about the game before that people have and can play is in danger of losing the element of surprise of seeing new landscapes, roads, cities and stuff discover, therefore I think they should make updates as usual has been done, a couple of pictures a week with updates so that people will follow the blog, and is excited about the new game, the word is "illusion. " Show much more of the game when still must be very serious discover things that I think should discover for themselves the players in the game.
What if I would like is to ask questions to users of the blog, for example, ask if they would like an "x" road in a site or not, that cities would like to put in some time but if they are undecided on a city or other , if the signals are well done, etc ....

Now I would like to say a few little things about the game to modify them:
    - I would like to remove the annoying music that sounds before reaching the destination (GTS) as if they are listening to music is very annoying.
    - I wish there was snow, rain, fog and hail (heavy rain, small balls of ice) depending on the situation and the place where you are.
    - Double speed on the window washer.
    - traffic lights in the following sequence, green, amber, red, green, amber, red, green .....
    - Trailers if they could be more original, like those made by moders for the game, but pretty current and, if possible, because I think that a truck cab would be more beautiful with a good trailer.
    - And another thing, I meant the advertising hoardings, I think it might generate some business and making money on billboards on the highways and freeways in-game brand names that would like to advertise in the game, so brands and companies would be seen by users of the game, would make the game more realistic with billboards as real roads and SCS could also get some benefit by advertising brand (Ikea, Opel, Media Markt, Scania, DHL, Coca Cola, Renault, .....)

And finally, a new idea, and is removed once the game Euro Truck Simulator 2, after a while the game might get expansions, and new countries, new cities, traffic, traffic signals, over small roads as in games of The Sims, there are many expansions, accessories and everything in the same game, plus it would remove benefits of selling expansions for the same game, also can get free updates as usual (patches) are only ideas that I would like for the game to get the maximum performance and achievement of this great game that looks forward.

    Greetings from Spain.

  30. Hello SCS team,

All fans are aware that it is a lot of work for you in developpement of ETS2 , but if you are not sure to satisfy every request from gamers here you are a suggestion :
-why don't to integrate eventually with the game a kit developpement tool software for modder and advanced gamer? ,
that way the game would be continously improved by the community of gamers/modders even after the game is released...

According the pictures you shown us so far i think that you have already done the bigger of the work on ETS 2 (maybe 90% of the final game ...?)but obviously, we can't know with accuracy the developpement'status for now

I know that it is a daring suggestion but it could be an alternative and a help for you to satisfy everyone and eventually to make the game be released sooner as planned...:-)

Thank you very much SCS team , to have spent your precious time to read this

Good luck for ETS 2 ;-)

  31. yes, but really add to the game dirt? because a cloud of dust you are already partly added since the game ET2 (and even long ago it was in PTTM)

seriously SCS don't worry about those people who can't even read up properly what you are writing here, do your own job and share what you want to share here I think most of us just follow the blog with curiosity of what will happen next.

    ReplyDelete
  35. it looks nice :)

but I think, you see things to fix comparing both screens because that are the things that creates that special Polish atmosphere:
-Polish roads are "dirty", and espacially those small roads (like on the right). also they don't have the line at roadsides or in the middle
-I have the line problem again looking on the main road (left)
-You built red reflective posts (I'm sorry, haven't seen it on the last screens), but you are using a german sign! Why?
This is the Polish "Give Road"-Sign: http://pl.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Plik:Znak_A-7.svg&filetimestamp=20061227120414
Also other signs, like the "S8/E67" or the city-enter signs are missing. You can find all on wikipedia.pl, someone posted the link above
I can give you the font for Polish navigation signs...
-You set some lamps on the road, like in real (right road). But the lamps are there because of the house, which you didn't built. I cannot find the sense of the lamps there...
-Last but not least I miss a lot of trees. And I really mean "a lot"...

All in all it's a good screen, but that special Polish atmosphere is the most thing, I'm missing. And that's important for building Polish roads!

  36. Hello,

I think your message is very clear. Everyone is expecting very much, altough your compangy is not like RockStar. But they don't think about that.

I think you guys are doing a great job, and I would really be impressed no matter what ETS2 may bring us :).

    Good luck!

  37. I agree with a fan who wanted to see the game with more road signs. And in general it would be interesting to see at least one full-fledged town in the game with the ability to transport cargo by the light-duty vehicles. Also a great desire to have on the availability of in-game buses - even buses, which could carry passengers from one city to another. Here it would also be interesting and it would be like one of the alternatives for the development of the career in the game.

    ReplyDelete
  38. i agree with post above people want to see what is behind the game, this means you as the whole group of persons that is doing this game, let us know how you live how the studio looks like do you have cute chicks as secretaries and so on ;)

  39. Hello i am very thankful for you as a company and as a game maker to be interacting with us as i have not seen many over companies such as yours willing to get involved with the fans.

It is also nice to see all the hard work and steps you are going in to bring forward a new direction to the ongoing series of this truck sim and would welcome more of the same. I also know that as a gamer you cannot garantee everything that everyone wants in the game to be in the finished product at time of release. As you said it would take another 2 to 3 years to make all the stuff that fans want to see but you could release what is done at a point when you think over time when you have completed other new products to the game you could release as an expansion or add-on to the ongoing series of ETS2.

    Grizzly

    Thankyou so much SCS Software

  46. Don't listen to people that knock GTS, becasue I really enjoyed it much more than the older games. It is a much better game than all of them. Your ETS2 work is excellent, and if it is as good or better than GTS, it will be an excellent game. The traffic in GTS as well as the rain are realistic, I don't know what he was talking about. Replayability is great, and driving is the most pleasurable out of all the games you guys have created. Keep on posting the way you do now, no change is needed. Don't worry, ETS2 will be great.

Even though I cannot do anything about it, I would prefer the release of ETS2 to be MUCH earlier, however if there is no choice, realease it then.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I can understand both ways: if you show a lot, you're starting to get maybe too much attention for what ETS2 actually will deliver with the limited capabilities and resources you have as a developer, yet if you hardly show anything or you make the intervals between updates insanely large, people will keep complaining you don't show enough news.

Maybe the easiest thing would be to just make a team appointment you will show ánything within a certain amount of time, like: ''Our followers/blogreaders won't be without new info for longer than, let's say, two months''.

You could also take a look at the list of items you wanted to implement, look at all the improvements and new features/additions you made, then divide those by the amount of months until what expect would be close to release, so you won't be overriding an X amount of stuff being shown too early...?

    ReplyDelete
  48. SCS, it was wise from you to put this text here. It must be cleary said that ETS 2 is big step forward, but not so BIG step - as well as it's impossible to realize wishes of all players. Write it again, time to time! It's important to cool heads of some fans. :-D

But meanwhile the development is in progress, we all love to hear all news, hear what you're doing (even if it's only partly connected to development), we love to be pleasured by screens of trucks and scenery you created. For example today: that scenery with bridge and village (or town) is so lovely. That parked car on side strip, on dirt, is brilliant idea. I don't know all Polish road signs, but I know I see real one (which indicates municipality). And other details, and it certainly made my day! So please, do not stop with those nice news! ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  49. I would love to see more pictures and movies from the progress. :)

Also, the map looks nice. Only one suggestion though... :) The proportion looks a bit unrealistical. The truck should be a bit bigger or the map a bit smaller. :))

Also, Romania would be a great adition to the game world.

  57. Actually I am very eager to blog updates. I think the correct thing to keep the seriousness of the publications, not to imply that all requests are made. Show us what is being produced, the game features, images and video. And maybe tell us about the new project .. Advertising is the lifeblood of business. But the publicity should be linear, concentrated on features of what is to come. I believe in the potential of the SCS, as well as all the players respond to the comments here. I know that the game will have many new things, and I think it should rather be shown because it draws attention and gives more willing to play, thus promoting their sales.

Hahahaha! Wow! Congratulations for the photo in the post.

I believe that an costant update of information such as text/pictures/videos help keep high the attention to your project.
Of course it is much easier to "create" an expectation that satisfy it, is fair to ask if you are not exaggerating.

  65. The blog is a very good step. It has garnered a lot of attention and the expectation from the game is quite high right now.

I would like to see more information besides the game(s) - information about the team behind the game and their insights, memories about working on the older games, lessons learnt from past experiences, the kind of hardware you are designing and playing these games on, and anything else interesting going on in SCS Software.

    ReplyDelete
  66. In a game(this is a game after all) you need to create something challenging make it harder. I say this because all of your games are realy simple to play. I want to be scared to be tense when i'm driving a big full loaded truck at low speeds. I haven't drove a truck or standing in one but i use a lot busses and if you have more than 50 km/h that means the driver it's crazy:) you can roll over it in a turn. The ai trafic needs to be updated in this game if you wan't to make the game better. I watch this blog once in a day so post updates.

Why the company announced a new game (secret) once all the fans waiting anxiously for the ETS2; We all understand that to make the game more realistic as far as possible takes time, effort and perhaps money. Two to three years is too long and the game again I don't think that is should be. I would prefer ETS2 to have a bigger map, trucks to be as realistic as we saw in the video and option for multiplayer. I think it's two, three things would change pretty game. Let us be realistic. For all things we want they need a huge database ...Anyway. Have fun in your plans!

  79. A couple of years ago when I was more involved in computer game modding, the leader of my modding team asked the same question from us. We've had a really enjoyable debate on the issue, and concluded that when it comes to advertise a small gaming project, there are two possible ways of doing so:

    1. Releasing extensive media updates every 1-2 months, in which we provide a complete survey on the major improvements and new assets completed since the last media release.

    2. Utilizing on guerilla marketing: releasing small media content more frequently (e.g. weekly) which do not show off a lot from the game, but keeps the gamers pleased (this is essentially what you're doing right now).

We sticked to the first approach, and while our media releases proved to be catchy and received mostly positive responses, its disadvantages soon became apparent: we could not keep the gamers attention for the long periods of time in between two media updates.

The point I want to make is that you are essentially on the right track when it comes to fan communication: I think you should release something more frequently, but that content should mostly act as a teaser - enough to keep players interested and wanting more updates, but avoiding to raise high expectations at the same time. Periodically, you can brake this routine by making a bigger announcement.
But just my two cents... ;)

By the way... Astonishing work on the recreation of the viaduct area! Also, I'm happy to see that parts of the map now also include villages on the sides of the road as extra scenery. Keep it up! ;)

  81. i think that you should post more, it is really fun to read and i really like to read about the progress you are making. It is a long time to the game will be launched, but i think everyone knows that it takes a long time to make a really good game like this. But i think you should keep posting all the things you are doing, because it is fun to see all the new images of a big game :D

  92. SCS Software Friends, I'm from Chile, and I fully understand the dilemma about the news of their projects or project ETS2. My view is created from a specific point in the track above which said: "And when it comes ETS2 version, we are still far from the goal line - the final date is yet set in stone, but it is definitely more than half a year from now! "
That is a large fraction of time and supposed to be a quality work (as evidenced by their images) that requires the time stipulated by you.
Thus, the question "decrease" or "maintain" the amount of news, I think the news about the progress of the project should be retained but may avoid exposing too much show pictures ... why?, Including more text and less images become more "tasty" or "interesting" news of their progress and timidly anchor a picture of your progress.

Now, although the video on Scania created by you the high quality shows that have come, made the game unnecessarily overexposing still has plenty of time to complete it (as you described).

I admire their creations, still my favorite on 18 wos Haulin, which is similar to the trucks and desert areas in my country Chile.
Thanks friends for their creations and what they are creating.

    Andres ;-)

Czech maps show please:) Please multiplayer map editor, or preferably both, and please Take care of the surrounding landscape should make Brener mountains and large hills and mountain station as it actually looks and signs, and tender and you could even disable the costs for some Brener passage so please do Rolla and prone to changing environments and changing weather be rain or fog, and remember to rest without a gas station parking lot, or only with a toilet and a large truck parks for trucks and truck shops and the opportunity to buy some stuff for the interior must be flags and badges:)

  95. "SCS PUT MULTIPLAYER OPTION IN ETS2, YOU SHOULD THINK ABOUT IT."

You are writing that so easy...
A multiplayer is really a lot of work. There are 40 guys, who tries to take most of your wishes, that are possible in time and money. Really, of course I as you would like to see a multiplayer in ETS2, but stay realistic...

"Just a suggestion; maybe you could add some visible damage on the trucks."
Nearly the same problem as above, but one more - you need to have a special license. For example, if Alarm for Cobra 11 - CT4 (racing game in the city) would have real brands, it wouldn't cost 25 euros, but 40 or more

    @Mr. Ferrari I agree with you :)

"one question i have is why the hell are you sticking ALOT more loyal fans in the dark ages of Haulin -_-...i mean your "enemys" just released a FANTASTIC north american trucking game....I only hope for your sake that this "new" sim is a north american sim and not some ruddy small country and trucks that pick up truck over here look larger!!"
18WoS series are made because of ValuSoft. So, if you want to have a new 18WoS, then:
-write to ValuSoft (stay in reality, don't expect too much)
-program your own simulation (that could be difficult...)
-live with that what you have now

"And this secret project accidentally American Truck Simulator?"
    Nope...

"I think for while you guys could insert in the German Truck Simulator - 1.32, a on line visual and communication system. We could wait for other games if we have this motivations to still on driving the game."
Final patches by SCS Software have the number 1.3x (like ETS 1.3). So don't expect anything...

  96. Aaaaaaargh, from now on I will type every single thing online in wordpress to autosave every 10 seconds!!

I just typed pages of my thoughts here and poof blogger fails to forward me and it's all gone. It was at least 10,000 characters because i'd have to split it up in max 4000 chars. Blogger sucks :S

My main points were that you don't always have to blog about future stuff and spoil the community, you could also do: interviews with the devs, show us more of the company office, blog about your experiences at truck expos you visit, tell us more about the history of SCS, of past games like how 18 WoS came to be, blog about the Extreme series, your research about trucks, programs you use to produce games, anything at all. Nothing says that the blog has to be only about upcoming releases.

  97. Please, do not solve the same stupid comments over and over again. This game is still in development. The traffic signs for countries are not yet implemented. The same applies to the new vegetation and other details. The game still is not complete and SCS have already talked about it many times. So be patient ;)

Good work SCS. I liked this beautiful screen!

    ReplyDelete
  98. I agree with the comment above. The blog should be used as a channel for players to know the work of the Scs and also on new projects.

Show us how you work and where they take the ideas and inspirations for the games. We talk about the field work, at fairs such as Hanover and visit the factory of Scania. Make a work of opening the border between players and developers. That culture exists in all large companies that create games. The player plays, having fun, and to know who had fun doing that reads the credits. Why not see who makes the games? Be more open with the players.

And do not forget the double trailers.

    Thanks

  99. Hello, I really am a big fan of his game, but the ETS, GTS & UKTS, but the truth is that sometimes gets a bit more boring, they should make bigger collisions as cars overturned trucks destroyed more roads with more things like potholes , roads paved and of course loads more trucks and much more challenging, and improve many in trucks, the economy and things like that, even able to create your own map, I think so far the game looks great, and every minute I'm going to blog to see if there are new pictures and videos, Luck, from Mexico, by the way also wanted to sell their games here in Mexico. : D Thanks.

  100. Only post stuff in you´re blog that's gonna be in the game, that way we will not be disapointed. More info is also good because that kills rumors, and rumors is what kills these kind of games. If you´re honest and answer alot of fan questions then we will know what to expect from the game. :) And so far ET2 looks great! Keep up the good work, and don't forget Scandinavia and our 25,25m long trucks ;)

    ReplyDelete
  101. i think the most dissappointment comes when you release a game, and take out good features that were in previous games. like for instance the option of different paintjobs on trucks, and most importantly multiple trailers. so please continue using the same system of the multiple trailer cargo system and load system from extreme trucker. that way you will cater for people all over the world, as mutliple trailers are common in alot of countries now, and i know the reason alot of people dont play UKTS, GTS and ETS is because its single trailer only.
also will this game support LHD and RHD driving as the first ETS had?

  103. Take all the time you need, SCS. Don't listen to those who want it right away. YOU CAN'T RUSH ART! This game is going great I can see, but take all the time you need, do post gameplay videos!

    ReplyDelete
  104. The reason why you fail at not making people happy with leaving features out is because the modding community is constantly being forced out of the picture. You have to realize that if you provided more modding capabilites for the game, we can implement features that you left out. For example, prefabs cannot be edited and it limits map editors. Animated objects can be, but only to an extent and it's a tedious task. If you provided us scripts or filters for the software the developers use then it can help the modding community out 10 fold, and the people who want features that were left out will be alot happier with the community made mods. I knows there's reasons why you can't do such a thing, but I'm just pointing out the obvious. ETS2 looks wonderful by the way, I am very pleased with what you guys at SCS are doing with the game, the graphics are a breath of fresh air.

  106. The ability to have multiple mod-folders + a command line option to run different mods from said mod-folders. Something in the line of what BI do with Arma.

While the following may seem overly negative I do really enjoy your games. I've bought six of your games already and will buy ETS 2. I wouldn't do that if I didn't like the games.

Biggest problems with your games have been the physics, AI traffic and monotonous highways.

The physics have been improving a lot between games and, having read your previous posts, it sounds like they'll be improving once more. Since you're trying to turn your games into proper simulators this should be your #1 priority.

AI vehicles have the tendency to stop all of a sudden in the middle of a highway with no apparent reason. This gets annoying ;)

As for the highways being monotonous, well, truck driving is usually a very straight forward, even boring, job. Adding single roads and even more challenging back roads would seriously improve the game. Then again, that takes time, time costs money and you are a small studio. Perhaps adding smaller roads as a DLC sometime in the future would be a solution?

  107. I wanna see your new project in the future about my country Russia. This can be a game with extreme overtones. You started this thread without knowing it - in your game ET2 emerged Russian military trucks Ural, who romp in South America. You are getting closer and closer to Russia. At your disposal is vast expanses of Siberia and Far East, north-west roads, tough road sections of the Northern Caucasus, Lake Baikal. I believe you can do it.

  108. I think it's a good thing with frequently updates. For me it's better with just a couple of pics quite often than how it was with ETS (A lot of pics every month or so)

Btw, the most important thing is that you feel there's a difference between the countries. Vegation, Signs, buildings etc. This was not very nice made in ETS.

  113. I think I should bring a little of the structure of the game Pedal to the Metal, and also how to enter the towns are all alike, but in reality are not, I know this must be for cost savings, but it would be very interassante, another thing that might be to the bus in traffic, and have cars and trucks should also take the bus, this would make the game more real, more is to be congratulated us!!

  117. A lot of crap was witten above, the real truck sim fans would want SCS push the pedal to the metal, the real truck sim fans appreciate the performance and the quality of the game, not only the beauty of the trucks or trailers created, we want a game that could be closer to the real european truck world reality... we want a detailed maps and the old but very good, company&fleet sistem (from 18'WoS Series), that's a base to how to start doing the software of the game and then, making the game.
Keep the great good work, the Trucksim Community is with you, SCS.
