I already got my copy of the dlc ,i must say it's an impressive work . and i like the fact of the more often presence of pedestrians. I think you need to fill the game with people doing random stuff .

There will be a completely new map done starting with California. SCS might try a new business model to release the unfinished, still perfectly playable game, early on at a discount price and later upgrade it to the full version, just like Star Citizen from Chris Roberts.

Any code from a retail version can be used to register the game on steam. I did this myself and it works just fine. The same is true for the DLC.

whether you plan to do more DLC, and why in the patch 1.5.2 additional axle only Iveco Hi Way and low cab only in Scania, are you planning to do this for other brands of trucks?
ReplyDeleteLow interior should be in all new trucks now. If you have old save with truck which was already bought, for example low cab with high interior, you have to go to upgrade shop with that truck. If you buy new truck in 1.5.2 it will have correct interior.

I have had no problems downloading and getting it activated. It was as smooth as breathing. Question I am wondering about will the DLC affect other maps due to the added cities on the map.Did the DLC addition change the original map because TSM map causes the game to crash when you try to display the map and shows no travel route line on load section? When I remove any map mod from the game it works ok???
ReplyDeleteThe DLC won't work with the TSM map, but it does work with Scandinavia map. The game will obviously work just fine, if you remove all mods (unless they altered some stuff like TSM. It might be necessary to reinstall the game).

Greenmangaming.com got lot of keys. If they did not gave one to you, there is some problem on their side. The only versions without keys could be bought on Steam.

ReplyDeletecongratulations to scs-software team for the expansion to the east, although the early hours of the activation was complicated discharge stream servers and use local servers were not used and that quick release and minutes of payment and download the game, you activate the license sent by email by scs-software, I have to say that the expansion has been very good check and now is to extend this map to the west, where coga part of italy, Spain and france and makes portugal to finish this map, hope this is the continuation of this great success of the expansion of ETS2 tO THE EAST, now needed WESTWARD ETS2 and have a game 100 100, by the way would have to extend the range that is in 150 and this step is necessary to increase it to please and to hire more drivers to be hosted in this new extension workers I hope that resolves to more patches, but my biggest congratulations on the new landscapes, new roads and new towns makes this incredible game.

I have some problems with map Editor. I just go in and then I was SAVE basic map. After when I get map.scs...I Load again cross Editor and then I get mistake Error ... here is a picture:

I have the same problem. I don't think there is a Mod out there. Which truck dashboard do you have problems reading? Scania dashboards are very good.

ReplyDeleteHave only been from Poznan to GDansk so far but it's been a quality experience all the way. The update experience was equally as good, with the torrent links making it really hassle free. The DLC price is suprisingly low given the work that's gone into it. Congratulations to all the team. I don't think I'll be going West for quite some time. Are there any garages for sale out here?!

If you are talking about a truck you already own you may have to go to the upgrade shop and click on the low roof, it doesn't retro-actively fit all trucks you already own with the low cabin.

There is something wrong with the map, whenever I'm trying to pull the east side to the center it always bounce right back like a rubber band effect. Can someone tell me how to fix this?

ReplyDeleteFirst, the addon is nice, and perhaps the original game should have had this map from the very beginning.
Second, I am a bit disapointed. After almost 1 year, this is all we can buy, no extra trucks, no extra features in game, no extra functions, no extra cargoes for example, just some roads, some cities, it is in my oppinion a bit too less for the money. I have the new DLC for one day and I managed to cover all new roads and cities. What now ? In one day I have once again 100 % of map covarage, no new places to discover.
At least you could get some buses in the game, as you already implemented bus stations, and maybe that could offer us more options in what we could drive.
Best of luck SCS, keep up the good work, but make it available more often, even for money, I don't care, just offer us diversity.
It's Euro Truck Simulator, not Euro Truck and Bus Simulator. And please look up the interview Squirrel had with Pavel from SCS about the future of ETS2, find it on YouTube, it is also linked to on the blog here.
DeleteAmongst other things they are working on bringing a new Volvo FH, I think also a new MAN, they gave you the Iveco Hi-Way in 1.4.12, free, and this is how they will give you the other new trucks as well.
Then they are working on American Truck Simulator and building the basis for World of Trucks, you know how once in a while truck companies out there come out with new trucks right? Did you see the new Renault range? And to think that SCS will keep bringing us new trucks for free to keep this game actual for the years to come is just making me happy.
Of course at some point they will stop as they will focus on new versions of ETS but other developers would have given you new trucks as DLC, and asked you to dish out top dollar for it too, then you'd say "Why wasn't this already in the original? You're just money hungry!"
But as mentioned by Snake, mod it, there is an amazing trailer pack (trailer pack 1.8, something like that) it will give you RL containers, other mods will have you pulling tanks, boats, huge 70t trees.
There is enormous talent out there amongst the modders, give it a try.

ReplyDeleteMy first trip into the east, going to Warsaw from Rotterdam, not too bad except for an encounter with a wall of trees sticking up in the middle of the road.
ReplyDeleteThen I come to Warsaw and I'm parking my trailer (as perfect as I always do) and it just won't change to activate trailer detachment, I ended up having to skip, when I did that the trailer (that I pushed all the way to the dock) that was now detached from my truck decided to move a foot forward and slam my truck for a total of 11% damage, some 8,000 Euro down.
Since the Logbooks were tweaked I'm already losing more money, now my drivers suddenly can't find work, they never had that before 1.5.2
I'll gladly send screenshots and report any finding if you could tell me where to send it in, I'll map locations and all.
I have a screenshot of parking at the Warsaw dock that failed and of the wall of trees though I don't think at the time I was so smart that I also took down the exact location.
Just note, you definitely had drivers that returned empty on 1.4.12, it just did not wrote to logs. This is what has been fixed (together with incorrect day stamp during multi-day time fast forward).

It didn't register in logs ok I could understand that but it also never showed in the ticker below my GPS, which I often sat through to see which of my drivers had any great feats of income.

There was fix regarding mouse non-linearity. Just move non-linearity slider to the center and all will work as before.

ReplyDeleteI would like to see my driver be able to get out of cab and do a pre trip inspection prior to getting on the road by walking around the truck & trailer, and be able to crank the landing gears up/down. Also I would like to have an auto pilot co-driver so he can do the driving and I can observe the great graphics and listen to the radio!!!

ReplyDeleteSCS need to concentrate on World of Trucks, or at least work on a Truck Sim for the Australian masses, as we do have the biggest trucks in the world and I am pretty sure everyone would love to drive a B-Triple or Quad.(Extreme truck sim was a joke, don't even get me started on that shit!)
Let's hope the next truck game full fills our expectations?
Yeah, personally I can't wait to drive a super long truck that's unable to make a decent turn for hours and hours and hours in a straight line through the desert. Seems like an amazing game to me...

DeleteAccording to Pavel, there is no Australian Truck Sim in the works. Their project, American Truck Simulator is going to be a main focus for some time, as mapping a massive country like the US is going to be a big undertaking (5 years is the number that he'd mentioned).
World Of Trucks is going to be a service on top of the Truck Sim games, not a game in itself.

ReplyDelete1. DLC map is better than stock one - we can see lot's of details and improvements.
2. I know that lot's of details means time to make it but I think that is about 9€ to much for small peace of map (compared with game price) and small peace of fun for 9€ because you can cover all DLC for 3 hours playing.
Applying this DLC Going to east sholud go to European part of Russia for bigger price than 10€.
Positive: map details
Negative: small peace of map
I am suggesting - next DLC Going to north with whole map of north Europe (details like this DLC) including north weather changing conditions.
The work that would have to go into making changing weather conditions isn't feasible right now for a small indie company like SCS. While I am sure it's on their wish list, not something we're going to be seeing.

ReplyDeleteFinally bought a DSL Going East. Really recognize that good job. But there was a Bulgarian, Lithuanian, Latvian, Slovenian linguistic distortions, which were not ETS2 v1.5.2 release. ETS2 v1.4.12 these languages Translation fantastically good, and the ETS2 version v.1.5.2 translations damage to the English and Russian languages mixture. It should not be so SCS Software to do everything to correct these errors with a free supplement ETS2 v1.5.3. Sorry if I was insistent and disrespectful. I wish SCS Software continued success and look forward to expanding ETS2 DSL2 appearance titled "The Baltic - Scandinavian Expansion with 47 cities, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Denmark, Norway and Finland. It would be expanded freight horizons from 73 to 120 cities. Thank you in advance.

I ask you to think about putting a DSL 2. I think that this would have every DSL2 ETS2 fan. It could start as ETS2 v.1.6.1 and would cost 10-15 euros. Just want to send a big thank you to SCS for this magnificent DLC, it came through on steam Australia with no problems. The more I drive with it the more I love its great detail and beautiful scenery so thanks to Pavel and team for all the hard work.

DeleteI think for the size of the team at SCS they are doing a fantastic job. You could compare them to EA and othe big companies and in my opinion SCS comes out on top for their dedication to the game and its fans. The quality of ETS2 is second to none, they don't make empty promises like other big developers they tell it as it is, for example they stated many new features they would like to do and are working towards but they didn't say they promise his and that in the future. open and honest - what more can you ask for?

DSL "Going East" good job, but there is error in translations into other languages. Some of the tables at the meta-language, which is supposed to be. ETS2 v1.4.12 ideal package for other languages. This can not be said about ETS2 v.1.5.2. Everything else is very nice.

ReplyDeletei have bought the DLC on the release date. Since then, i am wondering if i should say anything or not... so there it goes:
In fact, we can see some good changes and best details in the recent map, however and unfortunately, game still the same. No challenging deliveries, no dificulty on parking, no exciting features.. in two words: still boring.
The way things happen in this game, it looks like an 8 years old child could drive a truck, without any problems.
Read what your costumers and fans really want from this game and apply it.
I think it is time to stop American trucks, Euro coachs and everything else and bring this game to life, otherwise, i don´t know if i will continue investing in this games.

it's a map and that's it. Changing delivery points etc. would take extra programming. I am sure that is something they will work on in the future, but it's more than a simple addition to the map.
