The biggest Scandinavian transportation show of the year is over. We have a few pictures to share with you, showing people enjoying alpha version of T&T.
i see people there using G27 which has only H-pattern shifter... and they're holding it ! :D is there going to be H-shifting ? i dont expect but it, but it would be totally awesome
Also I see that people are using the H change. I hope I do not dream in vain that future releases will have a new transmission system. Dreaming does not cost anything right? :-)
I have one idea for the transmission. Here is an example: You are driving into a cargo yard. You are going forward. You stop using your brake. In order to back up to a trailer, you have to press a certain key (x for example). That switches you into the reverse gear. Then, you press the gas pedal (forward key) to move backward, press the brake pedal to stop. To resume going forward, you press the A key. This happens when you use automatic transmission.
That is how you do it in Rig N Roll. I would like you guys to do the same, so that it is more realistic, instead of each pedal (key) doing the opposite when you back up, like in all your previous games with automatic transmission.
I hope this presentation worked good for you. Pity that SCS's logo wasn't above screen, maybe it wasn't allowed or maybe is placed elsewhere and we can't see it on photos. Still it was great opportunity, for sure!
wherever you are dont be ashamed of the company's name - SCS logo should be everywhere around the gamezone, even if that was on DTL booth it should have been known otherwise people might have thought that DTL made Trucks&Trailers lol
yes, shifter usage and CLUTCH! CLUTCH! CLUTCH! You'll be the first truck sim to ever use a clutch i think. idk. maybe rig n roll, but that's more like racing
Nice..
ReplyDeleteGreat pics. I'm glad things are going well for you! SCS Software ROCKS!!!
