Anonymous: lol... This game will not in the real places - this game is not ETS2. The places in TaT game are not in Poland or in other specific countries ;-)
Talk about being cheap. Music is from ET2, physics look like they are from ETS/GTS/UKTS ie crap, one new truck, rest are the same as ETS/GTS/UKTS and all this for a RRP of £24.99. Jog on...you lot are having a laugh.
Truck engine sounds also sound like GTS/UKTS..rubbish. I do not know why you bother with this blog, because although you may read the comments, you never fix the problems. All you care about is producing rubbish and raking in as much money as you can. I hope people keep there wallets in there pockets for this one, because if sales are poor you might just think about producing something worth the money next time.
I can not see why it has taken you so long to produce this, models are mostly the same...do you coders, and 3d model makers only work 3 hours a day, and one day a week.
Total Tat...I would not pay anymore than £4.99 for this piece of (you can guess what word goes here)
^ Well SCS probably can't do nothing with price. It's evidently in hands of local publisher (and it's known fact that games in UK are often more expensive then in continental Europe). No matter where I look, T&T costs EUR 9.99 (something about GBP 8.80) - or very similar amount of money in currency of country outside Eurozone.
Paying GBP 4.99 for T&T is extreme on opposite side. Something about 9-10 (no matter if EUR or GBP) is fine price.

Crap? Guessing (you have some points but it's clearly that you do not read the blog yourself. The questions you ask have already been answered.
1. The reason it have taken so long, was because Trucks and trailers was never supposed to be a game. They simply wanted to fix a problem for ETS 2. Then after a while they desisted that the fix was wordy a game itself.
2. The team on SCS works hard, where the time goes I do not know. But it has only been a few people working on T and T for some months. The rest of the time they have produced ETS 2. This game is worth your money.
3. "I hope people keep their wallets in their pockets for this one, because if sales are poor you might just think about producing something worth the money next time." This is not the way to do it. SCS have little money left. So if you want them to work on ETS 2 for a long time so that this game can be good you need to buy the game to give them the money you want.
4. SCS are not the one who put money in their pockets, the publisher does. In UK the game cost £25, but in Poland the game cost only £11.
Sorry my English.
PS: if you are a total bitch there are always torrents on the internet after a day or so.
It is not just about the price. Since Haulin the truck physics has been wrong. We did see some changes for the better in ET2, but by the looks of the video, it uses ETS/GTS/UKTS physics, where the trucks are undrivable due to the speed, and they bounce around like they are made of jelly. After every release the game should get better and problems should be fixed, but even after ETS, the physics stayed the same for GTS and UKTS. I am fed up with buying these games (I have brought everyone since Haulin) and the same things need fixing. This blog is one way to improve things, but if SCS do not listen, then what is the purpose of it ? What is the point of having all this great scenery if I do not play the game, as the trucks do not feel right, so after about five minutes I turn the dam thing off.
When trucks and trailers was announced, I realy thought that SCS where listening to there buyers, but with this game they have proved that they do not listen at all. From the time of the anouncement, to the day it went gold, what have they been doing other than adding stuff from ETS/GTS/UKTS and calling it another game. Ok the game format is different, but I can not see much else.
For me this is SCS doing exactly what they have done time after time, producing something which is no better playable wise than there first attempt and for this they then want me to part with more cash. Well my money is staying firmly in my pocket untill SCS finally start to listen.
I totally agree with anonymous here... SCS is asking for more and more money the day they started making 18 wos haulin.
To begin with, I dont have any problem to help them financially, but when they release game X and then just re-release it with the same models, same bugs who will never ever be fixed, same crappy engine sounds ( things even my little brother of 11 years old can fix), crappy steering and feeling of the trucks, wlel then I start to wonder why they are still asking for money.
Why and really why on eart should we pay for Truck & Trailers ?
Because it has new things ? - No, it doesnt, allmost all models are models from GTS and UKTS or even from ETS1, shame on you scs.
Well than we should buy it because it is a truckgame ? - No, you drive vehicles, which have to represent trucks, but they dont even behave like trucks in the farrest distance on earth. Agaian people of scs, check omsi and report back what u think about their physics of large and heavy vehicles with PROPER sounds and PROPER suspension and accelleration...
-Well then we will just buy it to, support SCS, because if we buy this game, ETS2 will be much much better and bigger and all bugs will be solved ! - Hell hell no, again a lie from scs. They told us they were making and developing a patch for Haulin , which we never saw, the same thing for ETS... They will just release the game, with the same crappy engine sounds and crappy truck feeling (REMEMBER THE TRUCK GLIDING IN ETS1 ?) and when everyone starts to moan they will just announce a newer game to temper the unrest and tell you that you need to buy ETS2 to get a next bigger and better truckgame: AMERICAN TRUCKSIMULATOR ACCROS THE STATES
If scs can state me wrong and prove they made 1 improvement in a game from the previous one, I will delete all this.
Note scs: removing content in games (like hiring drivers and having your own company and reimpliment them is not adding, that just a lame way to say you ve created a new thing...) + new graphics, hell yeah, there are no games in 32 bit textures like supernintendo anymore, so folow the trend...
Last but not least. I m not a scs hater, not at all. I ve got a lot of their games and I enjoyed driving in 18 wos Haulin and PTTM and across america alot ! but when u see what the community can achieve (UNPROFESSIONAL HOBBYGAMERS) with the game and make perfect truck sounds, extre erealistic suspension and maps and roads scs cant even make in their dreams, I start to ask myself.
Should I really really buy the next scs game again, or should I just donate and support the people who make better stuff than scs; the community itself ?
Scs can praise the lord they have such an active community who even is willing to translate a whole game for free, but what does scs give us in return ?
Games with bugs and unrealistic behaviour ?
Well then I say no thanks to their games and I will just wait till someone released a super mod (like the mapa polski guys) and download the game from Piratebay and PAY the makers of the map. Not scs.
Btw scs: 20 euros for trucks and trailers is just ridicilous, really, use your brain or just check similar games on the internet, but 20 euros is really waaaaay too much. T&T should be a free game when u preorder ETS2 or just a bonusgame for 5 euros, but not 20. It s not a game with voices and a story, just couple of missions who are all the same, park the truck as fast as possible...
OK, the trucks go faster than supposed, but that's been explained already. If any of you don't like that in ETS, then alter the warp parameter until everything slows to a so called normal behavior. With T&T, as stated in some previous post, is not about the realistic truck movements (heck, it's not called "simulator", right?) but handling and maneuvering skills, where a faster rig challenges the gamer more. Even if you don't like the game (and nobody forces you to buy it) you cannot deny the amount of work that went into it. Good work and best of luck, SCS! Cool vid!
True, I just speak form myself of course, I dont tell anyone to boycot or whatever, if you like the game then go buy it for the ammount they ask. But I wont.
And why in hell should we play with the warp paramater in a game where I paid 30 euros for ?
Do you have to set the dmg of your weapons in call of duty too ? Or do you have to set gravity to get a realistic way of running and walking in the sims ?
No,period. I dont buy a game for a shitload of money, just to go and mod everything myself. I would like a solid base realistic simulator (ETS2) and if I want extras wlel yeah then I can mod them, but trucksound and truch behaviour are really basic essentials to the game...
It is called a trucksim, right ?
Just make the comparisson with omsi, which is even made by only 2 students and not a full team...
@ Lolsmurf, you have some good points. Most of all I like people discuss games from SCS on this blog. I think this is one of the main reasons they made this blog. So that hard core fans can say their opinion and discuss it with others.
@ Ohaha, you are right about T and T not named a simulator, you also read the blog I see. This because you have referred to what the SCS team have said themselves.
@Lolsmurf the students who made omsi did a great job. I thought that this game was made by a whole team. When it comes to your brother, he must be good with computers. I also got the "mapa polski" and loved it. You said that you've paid them. I was wondering how I could pay them some money as well? They made a fantastic map, but they could not have done it without SCS great map editor. When it comes to the grate Scania in T and T, I have installed a mod from internet to ETS 1 who lock exactly the same. Did SCS install the same model and modified it a little then to call it their own? I've helped to translate the game into Norwegian myself (t and t).
Where is the new stuff SCS, answer that Q from lolsmurf, then remove his and mine post aggrading this theme. Is it one thing I’m sure about it is that SCS cannot have overseen the long comment from lolsmurf (over 600 words)
The warp parameter change was a suggestion, not a justification for truck behavior. That came from SCS in previous posts and is linked to the boredom factor. The slower the game, the more time it takes between deliveries, the less action (in terms of maneuvering) you get. And that can be boring, for some (maybe most of us). The good point in all is that you can alter this to your like, something not many games provide. That's where my suggestion fits. Having so much freedom to set almost everything to the players will and a map editor to even create your own scenery is something I've always applauded in these games. Many of the hard-core fan's requests point to aspects that SCS have already explained: safety, play-ability etc. This is just like the story of the guy who built an oven and every visitor that came made him tear it down and rebuild it differently facing, everyone having their own arguments. In the end, the poor guy built it on wheels so he could turn it in which direction the various advisers told him. I wonder if SCS can do that too?? Just a thought...
I also do not have a financial problem with SCS. If Trucks and Trailers had used an improved version of the ET2 physics I might very well have considered buying it, but like lolsmurf, I do not want to buy a game where I have to keep moding it, every time I buy the thing. Yes I might want to add my own trucks, and trailers, at some point, but the main things like physics and sound effect are something which should be correct in the game when I buy it.
From this blog the AI traffic in ETS2 is looking much better, and the vehicle physics on the out side is looking great. But again what is the point of that if the game is not payable for some of us. I understand that not everyone who buys this game wants the trucks to be slow, so why can the physics not be altered in the in game options ? If you like the trucks the way they are now, too fast, no grip, gearing all wrong, then you select easy. If you want realistic physics, slow trucks, having to change down gears on hills, better grip, gearing where you can use all the gears, takes longer to get to your destinations, (the list could go on) then you select hard. This would then enable people like me to finally enjoy playing the game and people who like the trucks just the way they are, will also be kept happy.
I know this one does not have simulator on the box, but would this not have been a great chance for SCS to get some newer physics out there and get some feedback from the users ?
The modding community is a big part of these games as well, and with zmod you can create your own trucks, trailers etc. etc., but there are some things it can not do. I have seen many people on the various forums asking about how to make there own prefabs and companies and as I said earlier I know SCS are not a big company, but if SCS made a program which enabled the modding community to make there own prefabs and companies (.ppd files) would this not be another way of making some extra money ? SCS and the community would both benefit from this, as there are some really good moders out there and with a .pdd program just think of the prefabs that could be made.
Back to T&T, Maybe £4.99 was a little harsh, maybe £9.99 would be the be a better price, but for me £17.99 (Amazon UK) is way to high.
I am not an SCS hater. It is just they need to get the basic right before they do anything else. It is like building a house. You need to build it on concrete footings (a firm base), SCS are trying to build there's on soft soil, and although it might stay up for a while, one day it will give way and the whole structure will collapse.
In the Czech Republic is the price of this game just £11.155 which is very nice.I will definitely buy.I'm especially curious about the new shading system so this is "must have" game:)
@anonomous you blame Amason for the high price. SCS take no more than 10 punds of your money, the rest goes to the publisher.
When it comes to comment with a name you simply shooce Name/URL (the one over anonomous) where it is written "comment as" (Then you write what you want to be called in the box called name)
Repet:

Pricing is fully in the hands of local publishing/distribution partners, all we can do is to give them recommendation (which we did) that T&T is a smaller game and a lower price point would be appropriate. That's how it works. It can be expected that even in the UK where the official price was set higher than in most other countries the reality will be more favorable to customers. UK customers are used to huge discounts, and the publisher is probably making enough room to be able to offer optically sizable discount from official price.
Truck simulators are a small genre, big international publishers (who might enforce price consistency) won't even touch them because from their point of view the sales volumes are very low. So we have to work with local, agile companies that dare to put our games on the local markets.
In reality, from Trucks & Trailers the money that we may make from each box sold will be around or slightly below 1 Euro. The rest goes into retail margin, VAT, manufacturing and distribution costs, and distributor profit. The situation is different in digital distribution, where we can typically keep 50%+ of the money spent by the customer. But in perspective, people are still not used to buy digital goods, so we may see perhaps a few hundred digital copies sold over a quarter, while in stores we hope to achieve sales in thousands, or as was the case in ETS1 sometimes we even had a few 3-month periods where the game sold tens of thousands copies across Europe. If you do the maths, you can see why our budgets (and team size) must be around 1% of what the big AAA driving games like Forza, Need for Speed, or Gran Turismo can invest into their multi-million-selling games.
@Anonymous June 15, 2011 2:14 AM I see people love to spend more time writing than reading. The game Trucks&Trailers is meant to be that way, because is speed and maneuvering oriented. This way you can compete with other gamer's scores, via the online leader-boards. It's supposed to be that way! Even if I repeat myself, this is not a "simulator". Regarding new truck physics, read all previous posts and you'll find info related to that, even videos of the in-house "test track", used by SCS for their new developments. About pricing I can't say anything. In my country these games aren't and will, probably, never be available.
So having read all the comments on here, some having good points and some not, it is very clear to me that a lot of people really do not understand software development. This is to be expected really as how many of us are professional software developers.
Let me try to explain a few things here, with information I got from this blog or the links from this blog.
1. Comparing the development of ETS/GTS/UKTS/T&T/ETS2 with 18Wos/ET family is wrong. This is because the ETS series is a whole new code base. This means that features and physics developed for 18WoS have to be reimplemented in ETS. This takes a long time (matter of years) no company even EA could just do this, therefore it is an incremental update system. The reason they did this is because they did not own the 18WoS series valusoft did and the codebase had degraded to the point of it being unworkable, a common problem with later versions of software.
2. Software takes a long long long long time to develop, this is written in C++ people, C++ is a very fast and powerful language, it is also difficult to write correctly and given it's loose memory management style can cause a lot of memory problems. Even a really small program with little features would take a month to develop and test. Testing and bug fixing is a large factor in software dev at least a third of the time.
3. Software Engineers/Programmers cost a lot of money, now being based in Eastern Europe will bring those costs down compared to myself who is based in Silicon Valley. I cost more than 30EUR an hour just in wage, forget the 1000's or EUR in equipment that I have to do my job or the 1000's or EUR in software tools, or even the standard overheads of tax and office space, etc. Now as I say in Eastern Europe the cost will less, but still significant.
4. Call of duty cost more to develop than truck sims are ever likely to make, CoD would have had a massive dev and test team and it would have taken at least a year to do, with a team that is probably larger than the whole of SCS.
You are all free to have your opinions and make them heard, just like I am. You are also free to decide to buy what you would like and set your own value. This is the basis of the capitalist sociaty we live in. I feel that the price I am asked for to buy T&T is fair. But as a software dev statements such as the one below really hurt me.
"I can not see why it has taken you so long to produce this, models are mostly the same...do you coders, and 3d model makers only work 3 hours a day, and one day a week.
Total Tat...I would not pay anymore than £4.99 for this piece of (you can guess what word goes here)"
I do not expect anyone else to understand, nor do I expect this comment to have any real effect on anyone, but well I understand SCS and I will continue to buy games that I enjoy.
I understand that SCS do not receive all of the revenue, and that in the UK price will be higher, as companies are greedy git's here. I fully expect that the price will be lower after the release, as I am sure there (Amazon) sales will be lower than they hoped.
As for the game play, surely a more responsive, slower pace would be better. Reversing a truck is not easy, but when manoeuvring a truck in ETS/GTS/UKTS, it is enough to make you feel sick. Trucks do not bounce about like SCS seem to think they do, yes there is some movement, but this is massively over exaggerated in these game.
Ohaha....in my last comment you will see I said the improvements to the outside truck physics and the AI traffic was looking much better. But what beats me is why SCS did not include these physics into this game ? If these physics are still being tested then why not use Extreme Trucker 2 physics which where a big improvement over the original ETS physics ?
I thanks SCS was producing these types of games but please SCS listen to people who have supported you for years and fix the core structure of the game. Great scenery is nice, but the feeling of driving a truck is also a factor for a lot of people who buy these games.
Sorry I forgot to say thanks to Mikkel Adrian. I thought to comment with a name you had to have a url. I was wrong, should have given it a try I surpose.
That said, I would not mind seeing physics similar to what will be in ETS2, but that may not be finished yet, and that will be different from what we see here. But, it would be good practice for ETS2 with closer-to-ETS2-physics, so tweaking this will probably be a target of modding (as has physics in all SCS game been, to my knowledge, when possible, by people wishing to tweak it). Who knows, maybe SCS will make a patch down the road to add this option? *wink wink* Hey, I can dream, right? (c8
And that said, thanks for the video, SCS, looks like there will be some interesting challenges in there! (c:
TruckerGal. That is my point, why are we paying more money for a game that the basic struture will need to modded, so that it then becomes a half decent game. The problem is there is only so much you can do with the physics side of the game. I have seen and tried many mods out there which improve it, but none of them have ever been close to ET2 physics. In that game you could finally go around a corner with out sliding off and the trucks did not bounce about like a bowl of jelly.
If this is intention by SCS, then I am affard they have made a big mistake, because I for one will not buy it, and I know many other who have borught there other truck games who will not be buying it either, and the point of Trucks and Trailers if I am correct was to help fund ETS2. If they expect people to put there hand in ther pocket and buy this just to support ETS2, then I can see some disapointment, as a lot of us have been supporting SCS for years, and still the same old rubbish keeps coming out.
It is up to you, and others, whether to buy it or not. I will. I too have been supporting them for years, but I have not felt that it was "the same old rubbish". From what I have read they were under contract to produces X games under a specific time, so they had little freedom to do much, and not very big funding.
Now they are free of that and able to attempt to make what they want more freely (still under financial limits, naturally). But, that is where hopefully ETS2 will start to change things, as they have stated themselves. Without SCS we would have very little in the way of trucking games and while Trucks and Trailer may not be my ideal game it will provide me with something while I wait for ETS2.
Producing and selling software is not easy, especially in a small niche like this. I suspect that is where T&T is an attempt to sell to more people, in general, not perhaps to their typical fans.
We could talk for ever about whether it was a good idea or not, or even to turn it into a full game, but look at it like this; without T&T you would probably be waiting for ETS2 as long anyway, right? So, just pass over T&T if you want, no one says you must buy it. (c:
After your mention of OMSI I thought I give it look, I had heard about but had not really looked into how good it is. After looking at there web page and seeing the videos posted on youtube, I reckon I might just buy it. Realistic handling and operation now there is something you do not often see.
True, they could also made a game like scs does, just let you handle the truck throttle and brakes and steering.
But no, they gave the word simulator its real meaning back, letting you operate doors, heat, windscreens, mirrors, ticket and money, etc
But yeah, I know why scs doesnt respond to all of that because they dont got any story to tell, I never thought it was ran by people like this.
@ Omis official forum the two makers of the games are head admins and respond to alot of quistins on a dily base and tell why they cant make new updates now, wlel because they have exams, but in summer when they have finished they will release a free extra bus add on and some new city because of the succes of the game.
+ the game prolly sells only 1/4 of what scs sells, but wtvr lol, instead of pumping thousands of euros in graphics engine they just focussed on gameplay and behaviour because thats more important...

Dear SCS Could you change camera from inside? I mean that it looks like you sit in a normal family car ;p i mean the height is too low? I think it should be higher. Please keep it in mind ;) Regards
Scs games are not all bad. The handling and steering of newer scs games have been better i know it was not good in their old games. Some of the truck physic and damage need improvement with more research and driving in real truck. Remember a game doesn't need to be 100% close to reality to be good. It's just a game and it must have some good game-play element for the player and it must be easy to drive. Scs with small time and budget still have done pretty good job even they have made some mistakes. They can always improve.
For those people that complain just try the Trucker 2 demo by play-publishing see how awful the handling and driving of the trucks are and compare: http://www.play-publishing.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=100:trucker-2-upcoming&catid=9:pc-games&Itemid=1

Talk about being cheap. Music is from ET2, physics look like they are from ETS/GTS/UKTS ie crap, one new truck, rest are the same as ETS/GTS/UKTS and all this for a RRP of £24.99. Jog on...you lot are having a laugh.

nounou lolsmurf, kijk ook is naar de verbeteringen die zijn aangebracht. You speak dutch rite?
ReplyDeleteI like the vid, the truck physics can be better I guess, but though it looks good. Keep it up
Crap? Guessing (you have some points but it's clearly that you do not read the blog yourself. The questions you ask have already been answered.
ReplyDelete1.
3. "I hope people keep their wallets in their pockets for this one, because if sales are poor you might just think about producing something worth the money next time."
This is not the way to do it.

ReplyDeleteWhen trucks and trailers was announced, I realy thought that SCS where listening to there buyers, but with this game they have proved that they do not listen at all.
Well my money is staying firmly in my pocket untill SCS finally start to listen.
nice video :)
ReplyDeletethe thing I like most is the licenced SCANIA-truck :)
well done!
Mikkel Adrian. I never have and never will use torrents.
ReplyDeleteThats a good cuality anonymous!
ReplyDeleteTorrent are stealing!
I totally agree with anonymous here...
ReplyDeleteSCS is asking for more and more money the day they started making 18 wos haulin.
Note scs: removing content in games (like hiring drivers and having your own company and reimpliment them is not adding, that just a lame way to say you ve created a new thing...)
+ new graphics, hell yeah, there are no games in 32 bit textures like supernintendo anymore, so folow the trend...
ReplyDeleteWith T&T, as stated in some previous post, is not about the realistic truck movements (heck, it's not called "simulator", right?) but handling and maneuvering skills, where a faster rig challenges the gamer more.
But I wont.
ReplyDeleteAnd why in hell should we play with the warp paramater in a game where I paid 30 euros for ?
ReplyDelete@ Ohaha, you are right about T and T not named a simulator, you also read the blog I see.
ReplyDeleteThis is just like the story of the guy who built an oven and every visitor that came made him tear it down and rebuild it differently facing, everyone having their own arguments. In the end, the poor guy built it on wheels so he could turn it in which direction the various advisers told him. I wonder if SCS can do that too??
Just a thought...
I've just heard that it's coming to Brazil really really soon...
ReplyDeleteIt's some Tech... distributor.
Can't wait to buy...
All new games are better than old ones. So, what the heck do you want? If it's not good enough, shut up and play ETS1!
ReplyDelete(I must find out how to post with a name)
ReplyDeleteI also do not have a financial problem with SCS.
ReplyDelete@anonomous you blame Amason for the high price. SCS take no more than 10 punds of your money, the rest goes to the publisher.
ReplyDeleteWhen it comes to comment with a name you simply shooce Name/URL (the one over anonomous) where it is written "comment as"
(Then you write what you want to be called in the box called name)
Repet:

very nice, but i have a question it's volvo in the Game?
ReplyDeletePricing is fully in the hands of local publishing/distribution partners, all we can do is to give them recommendation (which we did) that T&T is a smaller game and a lower price point would be appropriate. That's how it works. It can be expected that even in the UK where the official price was set higher than in most other countries the reality will be more favorable to customers. UK customers are used to huge discounts, and the publisher is probably making enough room to be able to offer optically sizable discount from official price.
ReplyDeleteTruck simulators are a small genre, big international publishers (who might enforce price consistency) won't even touch them because from their point of view the sales volumes are very low.

ReplyDeleteI see people love to spend more time writing than reading.
ReplyDeleteLet me try to explain a few things here, with information I got from this blog or the links from this blog.
Take a look at this video ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U_P0aZXMRPI ) It is a little game called Spin Tires and it has some amazing physics.
ReplyDeleteI understand that SCS do not receive all of the revenue, and that in the UK price will be higher, as companies are greedy git's here. I fully expect that the price will be lower after the release, as I am sure there (Amazon) sales will be lower than they hoped.
ReplyDeleteAs for the game play, surely a more responsive, slower pace would be better.
ReplyDeleteThanks.
@ womble
ReplyDeleteAs mentioned in another blog entry, the physics in T&T is indeed the way it is intentionally.
http://blog.scssoft.com/2011/06/trucks-trailers-gameplay-video.html
ReplyDeleteIf this is intention by SCS, then I am affard they have made a big mistake, because I for one will not buy it, and I know many other who have borught there other truck games who will not be buying it either, and the point of Trucks and Trailers if I am correct was to help fund ETS2. If they expect people to put there hand in ther pocket and buy this just to support ETS2, then I can see some disapointment, as a lot of us have been supporting SCS for years, and still the same old rubbish keeps coming out.
@ womble
ReplyDeleteIt is up to you, and others, whether to buy it or not.
Great to see how SCS just ignores 4/5 of my post, they only talk about the price, which I can understand, but nothing about their games...
ReplyDeleteSad, really sad...
10 euros are not too much for the game (Germany)...
ReplyDeleteas how you described it, I think about buying it via the online way...
but for that I (and I think also other people) need other ways then purchasing via credit card, because this is a method, I cannot use...
@Lolsmurf
ReplyDeleteI agree it is very sad
After your mention of OMSI I thought I give it look, I had heard about but had not really looked into how good it is. After looking at there web page and seeing the videos posted on youtube, I reckon I might just buy it. Realistic handling and operation now there is something you do not often see.
True, they could also made a game like scs does, just let you handle the truck throttle and brakes and steering.
ReplyDeleteBut no, they gave the word simulator its real meaning back, letting you operate doors, heat, windscreens, mirrors, ticket and money, etc
IS THERE A LIFTAXLE-BUTTON IN ETS 2 OR TRUCKS & TRAILERS??.....A liftaxle-button is a MUST HAVE in a truck game ;)

Dear SCS
ReplyDeleteCould you change camera from inside? I mean that it looks like you sit in a normal family car ;p i mean the height is too low? I think it should be higher. Please keep it in mind ;) Regards
Scs games are not all bad. The handling and steering of newer scs games have been better i know it was not good in their old games. Some of the truck physic and damage need improvement with more research and driving in real truck.
ReplyDeleteRemember a game doesn't need to be 100% close to reality to be good. It's just a game and it must have some good game-play element for the player and it must be easy to drive.
Scs with small time and budget still have done pretty good job even they have made some mistakes. They can always improve.
For those people that complain just try the Trucker 2 demo by play-publishing see how awful the handling and driving of the trucks are and compare:

Hello folks, I'd like to know the date on which the game will be released because the game looks very good and I wanted to buy as soon as possible. I wish to dissect me. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteNo need to dissect yourself really, don't be so cruel to yourself. The game is already out - http://www.trucks-and-trailers.com/download.php.
ReplyDeleteThanks!!!
ReplyDeleteBut it is the original or the demo ???
