Scenic local roads

The ratio of local roads versus major highways is increased in Euro Truck Simulator 2 compared to any of our older games. Of course with the compressed scale of the virtual world we don't even have enough room to cover all important highways, and inevitably the selection of local roads is even more limited. But they work really great to spice things up and add variety to the overall experience.

    good evening I have here a video SCS with what I would like to add you in ETS2 are some signs of braking or rather some traces of wheels on the pavement if you could add that the cars in which you suddenly brakes but the truck so with smoke and the marks on the asphalt would be something I think great hard to see this item in the game

    I would like to find these elements in the game that when you have to brake suddenly and trailer but when they turn a sharp corner of the trailer back and they leave fingerprints on the asphalt that is believed to be some great strong elements ... and do not forget to add in game Romania


    here yet another example of tuning the lights could be added to the cab even if not as many as in the video but at least the car behind and in front of a few ideas taken from the video and added more game so please be aware of these two ideas and Romania's map and wait until then only good new pictures of these elements but also with Romania's map

    I found another video here with part of one of the most beautiful roads in Romania so please do everything possible and add Romania's map as this map would be a shame not to find in the game especially since we have a beautiful country nor was any game released to you ... and do not forget those items previously posted to find themselves in the game know that is not an easy thing and it's a lot of work but as I said small items make beautiful things. .. and the photos are very successful and indeed will be a game more than other released to you until now so expect new pictures of the items left and Romania's map

    Great Graphics SCS except the very unrealistic fade effect for objects (or in this case hills) in the distance especially in picture 3 of 5 although because of the weather it does look realistic in picture 4 of 5 but in the majority of cases it looks very unrealistic so please fix it. Also can you add some traffic other than trucks and cars

    Hi there all ETS fans:)
    I would like to say I loved the first gaem..but looking even more forward to this new version of it wich looks absolutely stunning so far. Realy looking forward to the new tuning and visual upgrade system (happyface)! Also the new licensing of the trucks and trailers is awsm, I realy can't stand when the "cars" are authentic in looks but not in brand, a great plus.
    I am from Scandinavia, more precise Norway, and I to want Scandinavia to be included in the game, teh scenery is great and the roads, well, the roads is not very good, but are you not up for a challenge? imagine driving down twisting and turning mountain roads that are less then 5 meters wide. In my opinion that is far more fun and challenging then driving on super wide highway deazd straight for hrs. And if ferrys in teh fjords of Norway was included one would also have the challenge of making good time to catch the ferrys and still getting to the drop point in time. There is alot of challenging and potentialy very fun oportunitys by adding Scandinavia in the game. If not at the realeas, maybe as a DLC.
    And as a side note, I would'nt dream of not supporting a game like this by dowloading it as a pirate copy.

    Yes, yes, I want Scandinavia, Balkan, Iberian Peninsula, Turkey, Iceland, Greenland, North Korea, South Korea, Shangri-La, Mars and Andromeda Galaxy in the game. And developers will do it, just because I think it's a great idea.

    Well, by stoping asking for it we certainly wont see it in the game, but by asking for it in a nice and contructive way, may lead to them putting it in the game if enough people want it. It's called making suggestions, wich for the most part developers apriciate.
    however, by posting comments like "give us Scandianvia!", that I dont think would work, but it does seem to trigger some peoples nerves:)
    Staying on topic for the most part is ofcourse important aswell.
    Wich I am sure atleast I was.

    Sorry dude but you have to understand that they are already halfway through the game, I doubt they would start making a new country, plus imagine how many people would want unique things in the game like skidmarks etc, they can't implement it all. There is no such interaction between them and us. We can't tell them what to do.

    It is not right to say that Scandinavia can be left out from the game and the reason for that is the Nordic countrys are part of Europe and people drive in different places in the North of Europe and we have great roads in here that we can use in the city and offcourse outside of them too so remember that when you say something like this: keep the Scandinavia out of the game and that is not nice for the people in here so i say thy that keep the central Europe small or leave it out because it is in the old game and yes i dont now witch parts of europe is in the final game and only the game makers now whats the end result for the new game.

    Beautiful screenshots as usual, though they aren't that surprising - this area was lifted straight from ATS, and can be found just south of Salzburg at the Steinbruck mine entrance. However, it looks much-much better than the ATS rendition. Great work!

    By the way, the bunch above is right, we'd love to receive some news on other aspects of gameplay - some information on company management or the diversity of available cargos would be really appreciated.

    The entries on the Route Manager and the map were really informative - we hope to see other posts like that in the near future!

    All you folks who keep asking for these countries to be included in the game,go onto the internet and find downloads. There are a number of maps of these various countries available to use including my favorite which is Danneman's Scandinavia-Europe map.Also Crockett has a similar map.I have seen maps of Romania,Poland,Hungary and Mario's mega map which appears to include Africa and some North America.One sight that is quite good for downloads is "trucksimulator24.de" and "3dartpol"is another.Should you wish to explore Google,do a search under "ETS MODS" and you will find plenty of links for such items. I can respect your desire to see more countries in the original game but let's be realistic with our wishes,please.I hope that I have been helpful and not critical.I also eagerly await the new game as I have been a fan of SCS since the early days and have all of their trucking games..........Greetings from Canada.

    well that is a good idea if its wrilly true that scs is expanding the game map thy the northern europe too butt making it a paid add-on
    well that is stupid if you think about the old game where you only did need thy buy the game and then update it later free from the scs website and i have an idea for the new game is it possible thy make the AI cars thy use headlights in the daytime or make them stay on for little longer for exp.in the morning or in the early afternoon and remember thy add Finland thy the game in the or in later update.
