Bus Driver experienced a very good start on Mac, and now several months after it was introduced to Mac App Store, it still regularly features in Top 100 Top Selling Games.
Deer Drive has started phenomenally, a few days after release it is now well inside Top 10 Top Selling Games.
These days of course we are fully focused on truck simulation, but this additional business actually makes significant contribution to sustaining the development of Euro Truck Simulator 2.
The next stage of the plan is porting the original Euro Truck Simulator to Mac, we hope to confirm that the genre can be as successful on Mac as it has been for us on Windows. The more players we can reach and turn into paying customers, the more feature-packed we can afford to make our future games!

ReplyDeleteTo be honest, I never liked your hunting games. I'm not silly moralist, I have nothing against games like these; this genre is just not for me. (Once I tried Ocean Dive and I liked it. :-)
ReplyDeleteThough I'm first your trucking games fan, I'm delighted for every partial success of your business and always like to read it. Porting games to MacOS seems to be smart move! Maybe porting ALH or PTTM to Mac could bring sweet fruit too, as Mac users are primarily in United States.

The trouble with 18 Wheels of Steel series is that they do not really belong to us. We were only the developer working on a contract, but the game franchise belongs to ValuSoft. We have no control over the 18 WoS games' destiny after there were completed. But indeed we are trying to persuade ValuSoft to license ALH back to us to be able to try it out on Mac too.

ReplyDeleteDONT GIVE AWAY RIGTH OF ETS2, keep for you self and improve and support when need it. This game will make you independant from them and make you some desent money!
ReplyDeleteRemember 1 thing, the company who listning to they customers and fitfull they wishes ( in normal manner and requests ) get payid off by customers support since they buy they product as it is what they want.
This has been proven many times with MMO arogant developers who was ignoring they customers and failed badly, after some loss like this is hard to recover.

It will be good is that SCS develop with map of ETS2!
I develop:
You can Bus Driver 2, but with the card .. ETS2
Allowing you to further develop the map of ETS2 and make a game that can adapt to paying ETS2 .. to be able to run either by bus or truck.
To other games, but from the same card. It would be the only way to create a truly great card.
For each time you create new projects, but they stop when they could make good.
And then, from a single card allows you to make games shorter and thus scoop up more money faster to start new projects without risk!
I can see a Bus Driver 2 developed on the basis of the map of ETS2.

ReplyDeleteI have to agree with Titou A Bus Driver 2 like Bus Driver but more of a simulation would be good it could easily be made just by modifying ETS2 a bit though if a Bus Driver 2 were to use ETS2 map the city's would need to be expanded a lot so It would make more sense just make the Bus Driver 1 map bigger with say 2 or 3 cities it would take little over a month to do with 1 city already done the graphics and physics already done and most other stuff already done from ETS2. I would pre order it as sonnas I could pre order it. I still play Bus Driver 1.5 in fact I think I will start Bus Driver righ now...

ReplyDeleteWow, this was so long ago when you came out with Deer Drive. I can reminisce with this, because it reminds me of the old SCS Software, when you guys created games with other people. It makes me realize how wonderful you are now. That's good news for you. And I'm glad that you are doing all that is possible to get money, because I would be devastated if you guys went out of business. This is coming straight from my heart.

Since I can't contact uploader and submit subtitles right into video, I transcribed it into separate rtf file. In fact there's no need for video and text sync, as moving pictures are only for background purposes. Enjoy. :-)
