SCS On The Road: IAA 2024

Today, we're excited to share our experience attending this year's International Automobile Exhibition (IAA), hosted at the Hannover Messe venue in Hannover, Germany. This event is one of the most important on the calendar for truck manufacturers worldwide and serves as the leading platform for logistics, commercial vehicles, and the transport sector to showcase their products, innovations and ideas to the world.

This year, we were honoured to have our simulation titles and 4D motion rigs featured across the exhibition floor, thanks to our amazing partners. This, of course, would not have been possible without the hard work of our colleagues at SCS Software, who transported all the necessary gear, including our 4D motion simulators (even the one usually kept in our office), from Prague to Hannover. Join Mark, Nemiro, and Oscar in this special On The Road Vlog as they travel to IAA and share their experiences from the show.

Naturally, we couldn’t miss the opportunity to speak with some of our hard-working partners, including Kögel Trailer, Wielton Group, and Trailer Dynamics, all of whom are featured in this special vlog. We even had the awesome opportunity to be invited to talk with Krone on the Denkfabrik stage. And, of course, we had to showcase some of the amazing trucks, trailers, and more found across the show floor.

Whilst this was an incredibly busy time for us all, we are very proud of how recognised our simulation titles have become in the real-world automotive industry. A huge thank you goes out to all of our partners for allowing us to be a part of their exhibits and booths, and we look forward to 2026 when IAA TRANSPORTATION returns to Hannover.

IAA Transportation 2024

From the 17th to the 22nd of September, we will be visiting the leading exhibition for logistics, commercial vehicles, and the transport sector, the IAA Transportation 2024 in Hannover, Germany! We plan to fill the IAA week with new content releases, live streams, SCS On The Road episodes, and live updates from the event. So we are sorry if your Steam client will initiate a bit more updates than usual but we really have a lot to release during that week!

Although we will not have our own booth at the expo, we will join a few of our valued partners who have reached out to us with a request to help them at their booth. Remember to stop by if you are there!

You will find us at the Scania booth with one of our 4D motion simulators where everyone will get the chance to experience their fully electric truck Scania S BEV (amongst others) in our ETS2 recreation of the iconic Scania Demo Centre in Södertälje. We're also teaming up with JOST, where another of our simulators will help introduce and demonstrate their cutting-edge KKS technology.

Our collaboration with Kögel will showcase the Kögel Trailer Pack DLC through a short, entertaining demo of ETS2 at their booth with another one of our 4D motion simulators. The fourth motion simulator where visitors can try out our game will be located at the booth of our partners from Wielton.

But that's not all! We are bringing some free copies of our game and some of our best and biggest trailer pack DLCs to the Schmitz Cargobull and Krone Trailer booths where you will be able to win them along with  IAA 2024, ETS2 & Krone & Trailer Dynamics merchandise. We also plan to do something cool with our friends from Kässbohrer at their booth, so be sure to drop by there as well!

It's shaping up to be an incredibly busy week for the automotive industry, and we believe it's the perfect moment for us to join the excitement and contribute as much as we can through the virtual world of Euro Truck Simulator 2. As we mentioned before, keep your eyes peeled for our social media channels (TwitterFacebookInstagramTikTok, and YouTube) for some exclusive content and new releases during that time. You don't want to miss those!
