In Case You Missed It: Future Games Show

Did you catch our special announcement at the Future Games Show yesterday? Broadcasted shortly before Gamescom, FGS is a digital showcase that highlights some of the most exciting upcoming titles and projects in the gaming world. This year, we were thrilled to join the line-up with something very special to share.

During the show, we premiered a brand-new, exclusive teaser, which officially revealed something we've been working towards for quite a while now. If you missed it, you can re-watch the video on our official YouTube channel below.

That’s right, it’s official! Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator are shifting gears and heading to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S! If you're excited about the road ahead, you can support this project by wish-listing the games on your console platform of choice at our dedicated micro-site, scssoft.com/consoles, and by following our official social media channels (X, BlueSky, Facebook, Instagram) and Newsletter to stay in the loop.

Whether you’re a long-time fan who’s been waiting to hit the road on console, or someone discovering the world of truck sims for the first time, we’re thrilled to be bringing our most popular titles to entirely new platforms. We know many of you game exclusively on console, and we’re excited to finally open the door for you to experience ETS2 and ATS. We can’t wait to see fresh faces joining our #BestCommunityEver and hitting the road for the very first time!

Of course, this is just the beginning, and with quite a bit of work still ahead, we’ll be sharing much more about this project, what you can expect, and more about our plans when the time comes.

The road to consoles might be uncharted territory for us, but we’re ready to explore it! Whilst we’re not ready to share a specific release date yet, we look forward to reading your comments and reaction to this news, so be sure to let us know if you're excited about this upcoming release. Gamescom & Future Games Show & Find Your Next Game

We hope you're all enjoying the summer roads, whether you’re cruising through Euro Truck Simulator 2 or exploring the great American highways in American Truck Simulator. August is already in full swing, and with so many exciting things happening behind the scenes, we wanted to take a moment to share what’s coming up for SCS Software this month. Spoiler alert: it’s shaping up to be a big one!

Gamescom

This August, we’ll be attending Gamescom in Cologne, Germany - one of the biggest events in the gaming calendar! We’re proud to be representing the Czech Republic as part of the Czech National Booth in the B2B (Business-to-Business) segment.

Our mission? Meet, network, and explore new partnerships with a wide variety of companies. We're thrilled to have meetings lined up with representatives from major platforms, including Sony, Microsoft, and many more, across both the gaming and automotive industries. We're excited about the future and are actively working on ways to expand our presence and content offerings for both of our flagship titles. And while our presence at Gamescom is focused on the B2B segment this year, there's always a chance we’ll run into some of you. If you spot someone from the SCS team, don’t hesitate to say hi!

Make sure to keep one eye open for the upcoming Future Games Show this August, because we’ve got something special in the works! A brand-new exclusive teaser video will be making its debut there, and we can’t wait for you to see it.

Also on your watchlist this August should be the Find Your Next Game show, which runs alongside Gamescom, where we’ll also be dropping something cool and exclusive, this time related to the Nordic Horizons DLC. We’re incredibly proud of what’s coming and are thrilled to be part of this show’s lineup.

We’re working hard to bring fresh new content and experiences to both Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator. The journey is far from over, and exciting things are still to come! We’re truly thankful for the continued support and enthusiasm from all of you, the #BestCommunityEver. Whether you’ve been driving with us for years or just recently joined the road, we appreciate every single one of you!

Missouri DLC for American Truck Simulator
will be released on April 3rd, 2025!

We're just as excited as you are, and to keep the anticipation going, we've released the official video trailer for the Missouri DLC on our YouTube channel! Created by our talented Video Team, this trailer will give you a preview of the beautiful landscapes, natural gems, cities, historic landmarks, industries and more that await you in this map expansion. Have a watch of it below!

We cannot wait for you to haul your first load into Missouri. Our teams are working in top gear to ensure everything is running smoothly for its release. From bug smashing to putting in additional polish on the map, we're on the final stretch!

Whether you choose to deliver to iconic cities like St. Louis or take the back roads to explore the state's stunning natural landmarks, including the Mississippi River and the Ozark Mountains, Missouri has something for everyone. From custom farm and quarry depots to underground warehouses, truckers will find a variety of unique industries to deliver to and from. Be sure to keep an eye out for roads that may not appear on your map or shortcuts around industries.

 Introducing Montana for American Truck Simulator

Montana is untamed, wild, and natural. No matter where you look, you’ll find unspoiled nature, charming small towns, and spectacular views. Explore National Parks, then hit the road to discover more natural wonders. You can drive through rugged mountain roads, pass by crystal clear lakes, or spend your day exploring the historic town and cities.

We are happy to share with you these very early work in progress screenshots from Montana! However, please keep in mind that everything shown is still being worked on and may not represent the final product.

Texas for American Truck Simulator

As the second-largest U.S state both by area and population, the Lone Star State offers a wealth of unique attractions and landmarks for visitors and residents alike. From the cities to the coastal beaches, mountains, and desert, Texas is both geographically and culturally diverse. 

Texas is also one of the top U.S states for business! Texas boasts the second largest economy in the U.S., behind only the State of California, with an enormous number of companies and industries. From livestock to energy and aeronautics, Texas has plenty of jobs to keep drivers out delivering on the roads all year round. 

We are excited to confirm that we have two U.S. states under full production, as our production pipeline continues to speed up and our team grows. Whilst the Wyoming DLC is a little further along production-wise, it should be emphasized that the Texas DLC is still very early in development. Being one of the largest U.S states, it will bring its own challenges during the various stages of production. Whilst we know many of you are very excited about this HUGE addition to American Truck Simulator, we cannot commit to a release date that is within the year.
