The FIA ETRC event at Nürburgring was a blast and we're sending a virtual high-five to everyone who visited us at the fan village with the company GRAMMER. While our crew is still full of the German Grand Prix event's atmosphere, there is no time to waste as we set our GPS to another destination. This time - the famous Truckstar Festival in Assen, Netherlands which takes place this weekend on the 27-28th of July!

And we'll be there with our full parade! SCS On The Road: FIA ETRC Hungaroring

After a two-week break, it's time to hit the road again! Our next destination is the famous Hungaroring in Hungary.

If you plan to be attending this round of the races on the 22nd and 23rd of June, be sure to stop by at the Fan Village to take a ride on our 4D Motion Seat, which is a must-try experience! You also may find yourself lucky enough to be walking away with a piece of our merchandise for free.

You can find us under one roof with our partnered company GRAMMER, with whom we are teaming up with for all of the FIA ETRC 2019 events. Be sure to look out for the ETS2/GRAMMER themed container.

Also, if you've missed out on some of our posts from our Instagram or Twitter profiles, on-location from events we've participated in recently, you can catch up with our photo albums on the SCS Software Facebook page, or you can watch this short recap below. We hope that this video will inspire you to meet with our On The Road team at future events.

We also had the exciting opportunity to be able to be a part of the Scania Driver Competitions Finals in Sodertalje in Sweden! It was a lot of fun to be among all the visitors and finalists of this amazing trucking event.

We also had the opportunity to meet with some of the most skilled truck drivers found in Europe, who also enjoyed trying out our simulator. Our congratulations go out to the winner of the event, Andreas who was representing Norway! Your skills and pace were unmatched!

With many more exciting events planned this year, you can find a list of where we will be attending on our SCS Calendar. Be sure to check if we are visiting near you soon!

SCS On The Road: Legendy 2019

Our 'On the Road' crew is currently in full preparations for the upcoming Truckfest Peterborough event but we'd like to already inform you about the next event we'll be participating in right after our return from the United Kingdom. And that's going to be the local, Prague-based event of Legendy 2019.

When we were thinking about which events should be our destinations for 2019 we wanted to try something new for our local fans. This event is quite popular in our country for all those who love cars, trucks, bikes and other wheeled machines. For this year the organizers create a special and dedicated section to the "Made in the USA" theme in which we'll take our part as well.

You'll be able to see some legendary American nose trucks, shiny chopper bikes, American muscle cars, crazy stunts and surely much more. And our SCS Sim Trailer, along with our crew and 4D Motion Seats, will be placed among all this. This time designed more into the ATS style to fit in perfectly. But who knows, maybe we have another good but not so obvious reason for this as well? ;-)

This event will be held from 17th to 19th of May, 2019 and located in Prague, Czech Republic. It's the same weekend during which our office will participate in the Open House Prague festival. So if you plan to visit our home you can easily combine these two events together and see also our Sim Trailer with its crew! We'd love to see you at both of these places!

Scania presentation at Science Center, Luleå

A few weeks ago a very interesting inquiry came from our friendly contact who works for Scania. Their team was about to open a dedicated booth in the 'Teknikens Hus', which is Sweden's northernmost nonprofit science center, or as they put it, a world of technology and an exciting place for the curious of all ages.

The science center sees around 100,000 visitors from around the world each year! Featured among the many exhibits is a Scania exhibition which is focused on the components of the truck, such as the rear axles and similar, which are manufactured in the city of Luleå.  To represent the final finished product, they have also used a full-size real Scania truck!

Because the center receives a lot of visitors, including children of all ages, an amazing idea was conceived: to implement a special version of Euro Truck Simulator 2 into the cabin of the truck, and let the visitors experience what it is like to drive the vehicle on the road.

We're always open for such challenges and potential cooperation and even more so when it's for the good cause of children's education! We are happy to be able to configure a special build of our game according to their needs. And from the looks of things, it looks like the event was a great success and the visitors truly enjoyed the opportunity to try this unique combination of an actual Scania truck and our game.

Check out a few photos their team has sent to us. By the way, their booth is planned to be there for at least four years - so if you are around the area in the future, be sure to stop by.

SCS On The Road: Broshuis Event

The New Year may have only just begun but the time has come once again, to bring together the SCS On The Road crew and wake up our Sim Trailer from a deep sleep!

Next stop - Broshuis Event 2019 in Kampen, Netherlands! It's going to be the 5th edition of this full public available event where visitors are able to walk along the factory and witness all the process of how the Broshuis Holland trailers are being made from the start to the very last detail.

For the SCS On The Road 2019 season, we'd love to add a few events like this to our 'to visit' list. Transportation industry events organized, sponsored or run by specific companies are very interesting for us as to participate in them might open door to important contacts, start new cooperations, strengthen our current relationships with brands or establish our name among them.

Those who carefully follow our Twitter and Instagram profiles surely know that we've already had a few meetings with representatives of the Broshuis B.V. company during the year of 2018. We imagine that all of this cooperation raises a lot of questions, but we don't want to spoil anything specific just yet.

The message for today's article is we'd like to announce that we'll be at this event with our unique trailer along with its crew, 4D Motion Seats and a few boxes full of our own SCS merchandise to distribute as gifts to our fans! So if you're going to be somewhere around Kampen on Saturday the 12th of January - from 9.00 AM to 05.00 PM CET, make sure to stop by this event, find our spot and spend some time with us.

SCS On The Road: The wheels go round and round

We continue our journey across Europe, meeting fans of our games and making new friendships on the way. After visiting several races, we dare to say that our sim trailer and our crew have become a part of the big family that is the traveling band of FIA European Truck Racing Championship. We continue our mission to become more visible to the transportation industry, hoping for new opportunities and new partnerships that would help us further improve our games.

We have returned from the most recent FIA ETRC race at Le Mans tired but excited. It's still very inspiring talking to our fans, even if may hit a language barrier problem from time to time. We have also managed to start or continue some very promising business opportunity discussions.

Truck racing at Le Mans has a long tradition, it is one of the biggest events on the circuit, and it has a really unique atmosphere. On the parking lots all around, there were hundreds and hundreds of really amazing trucks, with lots of tuning and cool paint jobs. The Saturday evening truck parade was breathtaking, and the crazy evening stung show and fireworks attracted crowds of tens of thousands. Witnessing this aspect of the trucking phenomenon is still an eye opener for most of us, even if we have tried to touch it in our games for some years already. Let us share a few photos from the event with you...

There are only a few days left before the very last race weekend of this season's FIA European Truck Racing Championship. It is taking place at Circuito del Jarama in Spain, on the 7th and 8th of October. We will be very happy to meet our Spanish fans who make it to Jarama and to our sim trailer, please come and try our games on our 4D motion seats.

Right after Jarama, we will be in a hurry again, as we are looking forward to meeting our Polish fans at the Warsaw Games Week!

New Scania S and R: Approaching the Finish Line

Today we'd like to give you an update on another of our projects: the next generation Scania S and R trucks. Our vehicle designers are nearly done with modeling the last details on these two magnificent vehicles. Our rendition of Scania S is already in the internal testing stage and the work on R is quite close to being completed, too. We are now working on adjusting the tuning parts and elements from the various ETS2 content DLCs to make them compatible with the new trucks. Before we'll let the S and R beasts leave our labs, we need to make all the pieces like the additional parts, paint jobs, interior options and toys all working well together when combined.

We thought that you may appreciate some fresh screenshots and info. So here it comes.

As you can see, there are several options coming with both of these new Scanias. We have several stock interiors, including the brand new style for illuminated elements and also the powerful V8 version! We'll have the standard and also the longer version of 6x4 chassis, plus many editable parts from the wheel to the roof of the truck are on the list too. Everyone will be able to tune the Scania S or R according to his/her taste.

We'd like to thank you for your patience and interest in those upcoming trucks. We hear and read all your messages and questions. While we're not sure about the exact date of release, we can confirm that their release won't be connected to any other DLC release. They should appear in the game as a free update immediately after we finish testing and polishing them, and obtain the final approval from the manufacturer.

It's really busy time for us right now, but we're pretty sure that the final quarter of this year will be absolutely fabulous. We have plenty of really cool features and content coming up for both Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator, and we can't wait to see and read your reactions to them!
