Trip to Austria

The ETS2 map is almost completely populated with road signs now. During the testing of a particular area of the Euro Truck Simulator 2 world, we decided to grab some screenshots along the route. Today, we are bringing you half of the shots as daytime progressed towards the evening. Stay tuned for tomorrow, we'll be showing the late part of the day and night, and many of you may be happy to see what happened.















We also feel that we should address, again, at least some questions and shouts appearing in the comments.

1. Until year hear it from us, any published release dates are purely speculation coming from sales departments of our distribution partners. We see the light at the end of the tunnel, the game is not far from completion, but we are dedicated to quality, not to particular release date.

2. There won't be multiplayer in ETS2. With the size of our world, doing MP right is not an easy thing. Trust us that we are thinking hard on how to put multiplayer into our games and how to do it The Right Way, but you will still need to be patient with us, it is not doable in the timeframe of this project. Delaying the game any more because of this feature is not an option for us.

    Yes, seat adjustment would be nice thing. So if you basically lover your seat, the camera will go littlebit down and so on.

    I think, this is a good idea, because player can find the best place to enjoy driving a truck then. :)

    I'm glad you finished work on shaping indicators and even something very nice out I noticed that there are signs that indicate the Bratislava but still hope to see some pictures and to be directed toward and reach Budapest and in Romania and to be and the map of Romania in the game until its completion will announce the official date of launch, and I want to see some pictures of brake marks on the pavement when we had to brake suddenly to change direction but went trailers leave a mark on a certain I left some filming with asphalt marks braking and also hopefully oversized be something more complex but also with escort cars which would become more interesting, and also please change the lights when they give the long vase not to be forced to extinguish them all again to get my cards short phase and expect to see you something new that would make the game much more interested in the above 18 wos pttm as visible marks on the pavement when brakes I hope we find these elements in the game you're going to be released and once again my congratulations for the work excuse my English.

    Magnífico.
    Regulagem do banco seria muito bom mesmo. Assim como as outras regulagens de um veículo, volante, espelhos.
    Suspensão pneumática também seria muito bom, além de legal seria muito realista.

    Lindo trabalho, perfeito.
    Maravilhoso.

    this is just beautiful im sooo looking forward to playing this game and I hope many people but this game rather than download!! Scs you have put so much work into this game and I reckon give it time and good things may happen in future scs games :) your work is amazing!!!!!!!! also the cab looks higher up which looks much better :D

    just one little thing, you probably all ready know but the mirrors need adjusting the top on is just about okay but the bottom ones are no good just looking at the road lol

    SCS the best graphics i have ever seen in a game

    I really like what I`m seeing.
    This looks very good and very promising.
    It is easy to conclude that you SCS really work hard on this game.
    But,I also think that details make the game.Ofcourse,in this type of game,handling is the most important thing,whitout it,this game is not an simulator.
    But,like I said,details are also much important.
    For example,this navigator is done great,but,it would be a LOT better to have it on dash.
    And I think I see that instruments are glowing againg.Instrumenst should glow just when you turn on headlights.
    Ofcourse,this things are just suggestion.
    Even without it this is looking to be a great game.(Just PLEASE do handling as it should be :D )

    SCS, I'm in love with these pictures. They look so complete, such nice scenery and such "clean" looking grahpics. The Scania truck is wondeful, truly amazing! The mirros, including the extra mirrors (not the side one) are finally tuned properly. And the GPS looks amazing, like it would be a huge help in getting to your destination. The sunsets are beautiful, so realistic, and the lighting effects are fantastic.

    This will be such a great game, don't rush the end of it, and judging by these pictures, that ending isn't far! Great work SCS, in fact outstanding.

    I'm glad multiplayer has been adressed in this blog entry, i hope it can be added as an update to this game in the near future, but focus on creating a solid game for release before making what is already a brilliant and awesome game, the most epic game out.

    Thanks a lot SCS for keeping us updated...About Multiplayer I think is ok not see it on ETS2...tho we all like to see that in next game or an addon to ETS2...that will be just insane...will be for sure a success....

    Very nice to see it, the graphic is great, Scania cool. Good to see that I can run this game at maximum graphics'll have to buy another machine. But I have some ideas here that will weigh a lot or impair the game and I know that many people will approve it. 1. Tire wear, from time to time. 2. Adjust how many actual minutes will spend a day in the game. type, place to spend the day in the real game in 30 minutes or more or less. 3. And, the truck gets dirty. Well I know it weighs a little in the last graph, but can at least apply one of these three in the game, we are happy blog.

    Very nice, looking forward to the next set. I was wondering, would it be a hard task to make the radio actually working? I mean, the radio would have the name of the song you are playing through the integrated music player displayed on the screen. Other "small" (don't know what size of a task this is actually to do) thing would be the route advisor integrated on the dashboard screen.

    Anyways, looks very nice. Good luck with the rest of the development and keep the flag high, even tho noobies are bothering you everywhere you post new stuff.

    The navigator is done GREAT....But PLEASE make it as an option to set it on the interior or something.....It blocks to much of the sight.

    And those mirrors SERIOUSLY need some BIG adjusting. If we could adjust them ourselves, that would be great. But....You MUST adjust them....Cuz it looks completely WICKED to stare into the road in the mirrors....YOU SHOULD LOOK BEHIND YOU WHEN YOU SEE IN THE MIRRORS... Just sayin'

    SCS Team, I am your fan. I was playing 18 Wheels of Steel when I was a child. I didn't know SCS team developes this wonderful games when I was a child. I am waiting ETS 2 impatiently! I have played all of your games. You have lots of fan(i don't enhance) in Turkey. But your games doesn't distribute in our country.

    The MP is maybe possible by using a map of the size as you used in GTS or UKTS.
    Maybe give this a try some time. There are also a lot of script writers and programmers. Maybe you could ask some help in the future from them.

    Good luck with the progress, it is looking very realistic nice job especially with such a small team

    Vozidlo znacky Scania s navesem prepravujici nebezpecny naklad neodpovida mezinarodni vyhlasce AITR, o preprave nebez. nakladu, musi byt oznaceno oranzovou ceduli na Tahaci a Navesu... prosim zmente tuto chybu Dekuji

    Good work, really. Graphics is just amazing.
    But I got some small things i really want you to deal with.
    1.Being able to adjust the mirrors(both sides). This include the mirrors on the top.
    2.Being able to have navigator on dash.
    3.Change your seat position. Up/down/Back/forward, Or changing the drivers "eyes". Up/down/Left/right/back/forward.
    4.Make an V8 Scania sound!!!! i havn't seen a video on a while so i don't know if you are making a V8 sound or not, This would be a great thing that any Scania V8 fans would LOVE !!!!
    5.Also i saw someone comment to create an CB radio to communicate with other drivers(in your company though). I think this is a very good idea and then it would be one more of thousands awesome things in ETS 2!
    6.This is the best thing: KEEP UP THE DAMN GOOD JOB SCS !!!!! This game just looks perfect! But with these adjustments it would be awesome !!

    Super práce, super grafika, nemůžu se dočkat... není kam spěchat kvalita se cení víc, a dodělat nějáký mapy není problém v nějákým patchi
