Euro Truck Simulator 2 first DLC sneak peek (Part 1)

Our first DLC came a long way to be, as a polished product, as ETS 2 was. There are still quite a few bugs to fix, but we believe soon we'd be able to tell you the release day.

Today we would like to share the first batch of shots of new countryside landmarks scenery with you, which soon you'd be able to experience yourselves.

As you may already know, the DLC will contain the rest of Poland, Slovakia and a part of Hungary including Budapest and Debrecen. We are trying to push more fidelity to the map: more objects, new objects, improved forests with larger density, to name a few, while improving game speed on average machines. Without further ado, check it out:

      TSM Map was just a redesign of the existing map. SCS now recoding the basics behind the map and add new parts+objects. So its completly different from the TSM Map little Troll.

    Looking good! I'm wondering if it would be possible in a later patch, to give us a slider in the options of how much traffic there is during the day?

    Personally I would like to see more traffic overall and I have a PC capable of keeping up with it.

      only if they fix the damned AI traffic so it quits doing stupid stuff like ignoring junction priorities and then stopping on the entrance point to highways.

      UK roundabouts the traffic on the roundabout has right of way, and I think even France does that now. half the AI traffic in the game crashes you when you're on the roundabout.

      Basic game is for 30€, right? I buy it on CDP.pl (legit) for 70zł and i think price for DLC on CDP.pl will be about 25zł. Dont cry - look for other games prices (like EA productions - 15 hours fun for 130zł, FFS).

      Total length of new roads in the DLC is quite comparable to our older games German Truck Simulator or UK Truck Simulator. It's a lot of content, and in fact our distribution partners, the companies selling our games in different countries, are suggesting that we are offering the add-on too cheaply, that most of other sim developers would ask for more money for such a complex add-on. We are trying to make the price accessible, but we don't want to lost money making DLCs!

      10euro is not too much when I think of the work which has been done. I am retired and I have to save it for the money, but I will spare happy. I paid about 30euro game, I felt it was expensive, but quality of work is very good. Overall rating is not expensive. But what is the price of the DLC? 10€,5€ or 15€. Or is something else.

      The Polish forums, almost everyone says that 10 euros is too much. For you people living in Germany, Holand, France or Uk 10 euro is nothing for us but a lot of poles (40 PLN).I really want to help you (SCS), but not for the money! Not everyone is as rich as you are what you write that 10 euros is not enough! Scs think about it.

    Can you fix that train ? They dont drive very well with their pantographs down. Also a few more trains or the same train with different liveries would make it nicer. Yeah I know this isnt a train simulator, but that one train gets boring after a while ;)

    Any chance the British motorway junctions will ever be re-modelled to actually resemble British motorway junctions? (usually 4 slip-roads into one big roundabout above or below the motorway) Being a Brit, it's the only think that annoys me in an otherwise absolutely brilliant game!

      We also tend not to have cloverleaf junctions in the UK. If the junction is motorway-motorway and doesn't go via a roundabout, the curves are longer and not as sharp as a cloverleaf.

    Can you make the physics for the trucks more like your Scania truck simulator?, I just find the whole throttle brake experience isn't as realistic in ETS2, but in Scania Truck Sim its fantastic!

      Roli you can get the DAF Euro 6 as a mod (ETS2 DOT LT ) and it works perfectly. Just use a half descent search engine and you will find it. I have a standard one and a modified one with lots of addons.

      Indeed, but it is a bad quality Daf. It has the old interior and it doesn't look that good if you don't let SCS do it. We might get a real Daf Euro 6, a good quality one from SCS soon :)

    Very good game! Many thanks to the company for their hard work. There is one request! I am a very long time to play your game and recently noticed one drawback - lack the drivers! Their in-game total 117. And after that, the possibility of hiring a driver is not. Judging by the game drivers must be 300! ... (60 cities. 1 garage in the city. 5 places in the garage.) Fix please!

      117 is more than enough. I would prefer that my drivers would actually exist in the game, instead of being only a script. Even if they would reduce the amount of drivers you can hire.

    This DLC launches soon! It would be interesting to examine some map mods, maybe import data from them can help expand the map effectively without a gradual cost and providing better originabilidade gamers. Modification unofficial is good, but having a game purely original and complete is even better.

      I fully agree, have mod map with Ireland, another with Denmark, Lithuania and Kalliningrad. Options abound, import data gives them to make a patch or DLC.

    The DLC will contain the rest of Poland, Slovakia (cities: Cadca, Zilina, Liptovsky mikulas, Poprad, Kezmarok, Stara lubavna, Bardejov, Presov, Kosice, Humenne, Snina, Michalovce, Trebisov, Raznava, Breszno, Banska Bystrica, Zvolen, Ziar, Levice, Nitra, Sturovo, Komarno, Nine Zamky, Trnava, Samorin, Senica, Holic, Nine MestoPrievidza, Trencin, Dubnica, Povska bystrica) and the part of Hungary including Budapest and Debrecen, but also other cities are necesssárias (cities: Miskolc, Eger, Nyíregyháza, kargac, Szolnoc, Becesksaba, Szeged, kecskemet, Dunaújavaros, Kalacsa, Szekszard, Pecs, Mako, Baja, Mohacs, Kaposvar, Barcs, Nagykanizsa, Siófok, Vesprem, Kezthely, Radics, Zalaegerszeg, Koszeg, Sopron, Zombathely, Gyor, komaron, Salgartajan, Debrecen) and also the fidelity to the map will be greater as Lake Balaton, Lake Neuchatel, fishing ports and the danube, the Carpathian Mountains, plains Great Alföld, Planice small Alföld improved forests with larger density. Other suggestions is a greater realism to the economy of these countries loads and products, as well as increased realism would be interesting landscaped.

    Thank you SCS for your big efforts. Not many companies do so much for their games. And rebuild it from scratch. I don't care how long you need to release the Update+DLC. I would buy any DLC instantly because i really love this game. Atm i have 100 hours played in ETS2. And with some DLCs it can be a couple 100 hours more.

    This DLC thing is just stupid. The only thing you have to do is compare it with MS Flight Simulator otherwise you wouldn't know what I mean.

    What the makers of this (nice) sim should do is just release EuroTruck 3 with this map, some extra trucks and voila, 40 euro's easily made.

    Lived/worked in Eastern, Southern and Western Europe and based on my market experience prices are adjusted to suit various countries/currencies/geographical areas. Also an average title is 100zl+ (although i'm a few months out the country so could have changed).
    As the folk above me pointed out-no alcohol for a week and you are good to buy the DLC. If you truly cannot afford it-that's ok, just don't complain about it.

    this is really nice from graphiks and from gameplay
