American Truck Simulator - Important Security Announcement

Hey Truckers!

We have recently received reports that some websites are claiming to be offering a pre-release beta version of American Truck Simulator for download.

While our upcoming title is currently in testing and polishing phases, please note that we will not be offering a beta or demo version to the public before the day of release.

Any websites that provide links or other options to download the game before the official release are attempting to distribute and install viruses or other malware on your machines. We strongly recommend against downloading any game installers from other sources than links listed on our website, our trusted hosting partners, or directly from Steam.

Be safe out there, and as always keep an eye on our blog for news and announcements regarding our new projects as well as updates for our already released games.

      Being that i'm a french person living in Quebec, Canada, I could interpret your "frog" comment as a "racial slur".

      I totally agree with you. Akula is always like this towards other forum posts. he is racial although he cant really talk considering he is as we believe pollish. so if he wishes to disrespect those from other countries, he should remember that everyone who posts on this forum are all from other countries as one another, we aren't being racist towards him so he should show a little more respect for others.

    This is why people should always always, check out the sources of Geluine sites like this one for news about updates etc! I find it quite baffling, given the amount of scams there are out there and yet people who use the otherwise great internet can still be taken in! I'd LOVE it if SCS had say a Coach Driving DLC out say next week, I know that's not gonna happen anytime that soon but I won't take any notice of rumors or take a chance on anyone claiming to be connected with SCS Software, offering such a product!

    Remember the days when we didn't have the Internet, and all we had was Genuine Boxed Software for the most part anyway and not nearly so many scans?!

    Jesus, rockstar didn't even take this long to release gta5. Ats release date is probably next year. And the ets2 bus dlc is proably 3 years away.

    if American Truck Sim is not released by the end of the year, i Will boycott SCS and i will tell everyone i know to also Boycott SCS, it does not take 2 years too make the same game but different trucks and a new map, and only california at that.

      Truefilipenis pretty sure English is the most common language (about 30% of the world speaks it) followed by Mandarin (about 15%) and Spanish (about 8%)

      Sorry but, i'm not sure where you get the idea that ATS is a "new game". I agree that the map will be new. And the use of American Trucks will be "official"... despite many of us already using American Trucks in the game.

      But... same UI. Same features, same options, same... 5 slot garage where we can't see our trucks in our garage or on the road. Same economy. Same no flat tires, can't purchase our own trailers, etc. etc.

      ATS is a map mod for ETS2 that offers some new trucks to use as well. NOT new game.

      Muzick it is definitely a new game, with new features and, yes, a new map. A much, much bigger map with American cars and currency, signs and more detailed cities. The difference between this and mods? This will not have broken textures and will not run the risk of lawsuit. And you don't have to worry about crashing the game because of compatibilities because, oh wait, it is its own game!

    thank you on real words !! .... players mostly do not know a lot of things .... those who work or just try something Editor game , they know what will be different what not .... like you said, trucks and some roads, most of Models and Prefabs will be from some older games ... like we can find mostly those things in old games !! I will not be surprise if I will found something from 18 WOS ... lol

      Personally, I think SCS advertised ATS far too early. Getting everyone all hyped up about ATS.... then making us all wait over 2 years to get it (and we still don't have it)... maybe wasn't a good idea.

      I could do that as well. Hey everyone, I am designing a new game (similiar to ETS2). Ok well anyway... i'll be back in 3 years. See you then lol.

    How far are you with the licenses? Do you have all? I'm curious because you wrote that you won't launch the game without all of them. I bet that ATS is finished, I mean it's a stage to sell it. Ofcourse "it is always something to improve" like you wrote about ETS2. Look what you've done, you have announced 2 years ago about ATS. A lot of people are waiting for it. They wants so badly to buy it and others are using this situation and wants to rob those players. I told you that ATS and ETS2 will be competitive projects. Delay in launching ATS is good for ETS2, which is selling very well. After launching ATS I bet that the sells of ETS2 will breaks down, because ATS will be newer and more modern than ETS2. SCS whats wrong with you? Why it all takes so long?
