Delivery to Cardiff
A series of screen shots from a delivery of goods from Plymouth to Cardiff. Note that while it is possible to choose either left or right position of the steering wheel when buying any truck in ETS2, the tester in this case preferred the continental setup atypical for vehicles in the UK. We leave this up to the player to choose what is most comfortable for him.

ReplyDeletePlease i think you should consider these options: being able to put a name/label in every single corner of the cabin, choosing the color of the driver's shoe laces, add realistic gfx that will make your eyes bleed and add the ability to throw the cigarette butt away before refueling, otherwise the truck will explode to smithereens.

SCS you're annoying me. I'm tired of seeing pictures of a game that is never completed ... stop making fools of his fans. firms are unchanged. at least let the fans play ETS2. or at least give us a release date ... 2012 isn't the date ... I want a month ... has no specific day, no problem ... but I can not stand to see his fans believe that this day is 23/03/2012 knowing that this is not the date.
ReplyDeleteWhy would SCS want to release an unfinished game? I am very happy that they are putting this extreme effort into the game. I will happily pay whatever it costs, even if that means paying what any new instalment of FIFA would cost. It'll be worth it. The attention to detail in ETS2 is unprecedented in truck simulators.
DeleteKeep doing this exact thing, SCS, because you're on the perfect path. This game, even if you don't release it before 2013, will be worth the wait. Keep up the amazing work.

DeleteI'm not asking that the SCS release the game without being ready. But until companies are the same, do not see what prevents them from letting us play. I know that the game is getting good, but I do not see why not give an approximate date for the launch. SCS knows what they did, and still want to do, do not know what they intend to do. Here in Brazil, already have a blog that is counting down to the date of 03.23.2012, and I do not want to see the time is up, and see that the game is not ready.

ReplyDeleteI can not wait, but as a software engineer I know that being held to unreasonable dates is a bad thing. Keep working hard on the game and I will buy it no matter the cost.
ReplyDeleteI noticed a couple of minor bugs while looking at the pictures in this post I will list below.
1) The speed cameras used (very well done they are yellow) are averaging speed cameras, they take your average speed between 2 sets of cameras. These will be calibrated to the speed limit for cars so 70 mph + the 10% error rule so 77mph).
2) The speed cameras are only in roadworks on british motorways (speed limit 50mph). Otherwise there are no speed cameras on british motorways.
3) The license plate on the front of british vehilce is white and the plate on the rear is yellow. This includes the trailer.
4) Generally the number plate on the rear is a different shape to the regular plate, it has the 2 letter and 2 numbers on the top and is that wide and has the 3 letters on the bottom of the plate.
5) The 2 letters at the start of a british plate are location specific and determine where the vehicle is first registered.
6) The 2 numbers are a year identifier and change twice a year, this year it will be 12 and 62.
These are all really minor if you decide to fix any I would be happiest if you fix number 3.
I would be happy to help beta test the product if you wish.

Last afternoon I was thinking, why the Euro Truck Simulator series shows only the beautiful part of being a truck driver?
The father of a colleague in my course is trucker. Then we were talking about how is drive a truck.
Talked of :
-> How a truck loaded goes up slowly;
-> Of when there problem in tires;
-> Exchange of parts;
-> Of congestions;
-> Of accidents;
...
I have some examples :
-> Around a year ago, a heavy rain brought down a major bridge here. With the diversion, the traffic was stopped and a 4 hous travel was made in 8 hours;
-> One day, coming home from school, the bus broke the crosshead of the drive shaft;
-> In this February 1st I took the bus to go to the course. Along the way, another bus collided with the rear of the bus that I was.

However, I think you may tune the current release plan a little bit. I mean, you can reduce the feature number in this project,
release it in the near future and leave the left feature to the next project, ets3 or something new about U.S.
Now the new things/features we can see in ETS2 are:
1)Graphic/Shadow update;
2)rear view mirror update;
3)road sign/city scale update(city should be bigger though)
4)suspension update
I think those are enough as a new project and we can expect more in the next project, such as:
1)sound system update;
2)more physics update(handling)
3)AI update(refuling, parking etc)
4)gameplay update: I like convoy in game, even only in SP mode
The ets2 is a big leap over ets1/gts/uts already and we as fans have been waiting a long time for it.
Release it early so we can get sth to do and you can have more time to implement the new features, also, you can get the money
spent in development early to keep the company running, heathly.
Again, congratulations!

License plates in Great Britain are white on the frontside. Backside yellow. Please correct it for realistic look.

ReplyDeleteWe were just aware yesterday that the Amazon informed the Pre-orderers of putting off the release date of Euro Truck Simulator 2 till Augest by game supplier. although this news haven't been confirmed by game developer SCS Software.

ReplyDeleteAny1 knows if there will be an option for real time driving? I mean that its not realistic to drive a distance of 1000 km in 5 or 10 mins (in ETS it was muc less im pretty sure :P). So if some1 drives 8 hours on the simulator he ll have traveled the proper distance. (for example with a speed of 90 km/h, in 8 hours he ll have traveled 720 km)

I would love to drive on deliveries longer this time round. In ETS and the other SCS games the driving from one city to the next did'nt last long enough. Also the Cities were more like small Villages rather than Cities in my opinion.

In the 2nd picture you are still using those stupid junctions from ETS1, GTS and UKTS! nothing like the real junctions in the UK! It would be fine if modders could do something about it, but they can't because ONLY you can! Please model the slip roads correctly and not have the old one lane goes down and the other two go straight on! Please do something about this as it really takes away the atmosphere of the game!

DeleteYes, real shame these are still the same exits/entries as before. Usually UK uses roundabouts either above or below motorway. Please correct this as not realistic. Same for number plates white/yellow correction. Other than that great work so far. Don't care how long it takes, I'll wait until finished.

ReplyDelete1.The front number plate of England is white background not yellow;
2. The trailer sideskirts are allways white and with the trailer manufacturer name (Krone - EuroAcres) and for the EuroGodies is just white sideskirt.
We have not seen Iveco in the game and for me is disappointing but there is time until the release date.

ReplyDeleteWhile this is looking very nice SCS, very nice indeed there is one concern. The amount of traffic the road particularly the motorways need a lot more traffic on them. Unlike some other posters i'm not completely stupid, I understand that the game is pretty much complete so things are not going to be changed (anyways Hopefully modders can fix this for ETS2) but maybe future games something to think about. ???

Worth the wait, this is incredible MB Actros, and the scenery is breathtaking. Here's some ideas that you might think about putting in the game.
ReplyDelete1) Being able to create a name for our carrier, and also if you can, you can put the name of our only carrier in the truck, a kind of adhesive, put the name on the doors in case of Actros, put on the front grille it .
2) Have a special tank for diesel Euro 5, and besides having, fill it in position with the particular fuel. Ex: A 100L tank of AdBlue when in position to supply it with diesel in the case of the S50 or S10 Euro 5 in the case of Euro 6 (not sure if there is 6 Euro in Europe because they do not live on this continent), that is a little more expensive than regular diesel, but it has to fill up with the two fuels, especially diesel and normal.
3) Power sleep anywhere on the road, just pull over somewhere on the road and hit a certain button that the driver will sleep.
4) When you choose the automatic transmission option, choose which speed the truck change march. Type press' Esc 'Options'' Gameplay 'i will get it' Transmission 'choose automatic or manual, if we choose automatically, you will see an option to choose a rotation to shift gears, then I choose 1800 rpm, it will always switch gears in this rotation, understood only choose a rotation you want.
5) When the garage is to equip the truck. the background image to be a garage, with some stacked tires, tool box, truck equipped posters.
6) Have an image 360 degrees inside the cabin.
Being able to put at least one of those things I mentioned already I am very happy. Thanks for doing a wonderful game that I'm sure will be very successful, and will be played by all ages, I know that all this effort will be worth very much worth it. Good job to all staff. Sorry for my English, do I use Google Translator.

DeleteSorry about that Michael, I do not live in Europe, I'm from South America, Brazil, SCS could create a stop for truck drivers with fuel stations, truck shop, truck repair, hotels, neither the 18 WOS Haulin or ALH, which has those truck stop that is quite large, with several parking spaces. Deleteamigos esta bien que digan que la fecha se siga posponiendo para mejorar el juego, pero creo con todo respeto que si siguen pidiendo cosas este juego no se va a lanzar mas , porque no dejan que el equipo de scs trabajan tranquilos , yo les recuerdo amigos que este gran juego lo vengo esperando mas de un año ya y no soportaria saber que el juego sea lanzado en agosto , espero que su fecha de lanzamiento sea el 23 de marzo porque ya seria demasiada espero. yo se que quieren que sea un juego bastante completo , pero esto se soluciona a traves de los años con las mejoras de la tecnologia, seguramente año a año las proximas entregas seran una mejor que otras. creo en lo personal que este simulador ya puede estar perfectamente a la venta ahora mismo. Y por ultimo alguien me podria decir como hago yo desde montevideo, URUGUAY , COMPRAR ESTE HERMOSO JUEGO porque yo se que el equipo de scs ha hecho un excelente trabajo y me gustaria premiarlos comprando su producto. While looking at the forklift I thought about this; It would actually be really cool if you could load and unload your trailer at clients or warehouses, or watch a cutscene of the trailer being loaded or unloaded.

That looks EPIC!! Keep it up, SCS! I recommend that you should also add some variation in the truck traffic, like instead of seeing 4x2 units in the UK, add some variety and have 6x2 trucks be in the traffic as well. Other than that it looks great! I love how speed traps have been added!

ReplyDeleteSCS Hello, I have 3 questions. The first is the climate in the game, I would like to know if we can revise the snow this time, it was great fun driving simulation in these climates. The second question is about the gameplay, I would ask you to post an image of the new European map, to understand the size and maybe help you by giving you some more suggestions. Finally I would like to know an approximate date for the release of the game, we are all in turmoil, if you tell us something more precise we can put your soul in peace hehehe.

ReplyDelete@Roli I suspect SCS has already put this in the game I have only played Demo oftrucks & Trailers but realistic handling like in Bus & Cable Car Simulator (http://www.world-of-busdriver.com/index.php?id=746&L=1&L=1) would be good.
To those of you that just keep asking for release date pease stop SPAMING the comments it will not be released until at least August 10, 2012 but the longer this game takes to develop the better it will be (unless it takes so long it bankrupts SCS) please STOP SPAMMING the comments

DeletePrepáčte že to píšem po slovensky ale prečo ste upustili od toho že sa dali kupovať aj návesy? tuším naposledy to bolo v 18wos haulin velmi by sa mi páčilo keby som si mohol kúpiť vlastná náves a tiež si ho troška upraviť. farba, svetlá prípadne rámy alebo skvelé by bolo keby sa dali do hry nejako jednoducho vkladať logá. veľa ľudí by sa potešilo keby svojej firme mohli dať meno a logo.

Looks awesome but the number plates incorrect for the uk. The layout is correct but the colors are wrong... It should be a white/black text at front and yellow/black text to the rear....... keep up the good work
