We are happy to announce that we are working on the first official add-on for Euro Truck Simulator 2. This map expansion is centering on Eastern Europe with special focus on Poland, so we took the opportunity of a press-day taking place at our Polish publishing partner CDP to let the word know about it yesterday.
We have been working on the expansion for some time already, we have bits and pieces to show already, but there is still a lot of work left to complete the new part of the map.
Why go East for the first map expansion? With all respect to our truck sim games' fans across the globe, Polish fan community is one of the most active and most supportive. Cooperation between CDP and SCS in Poland is also exemplary. So we felt that this region is a great candidate for testing out if creating map expansions is going to become a viable business for SCS Software. It would be great if the market can prove that growing the world of Euro Truck Simulator 2 is not lost time for us.
Once ETS2 EEE is completed, we'll have to decide where to go next... Scandinavia? Rest of France with an option to go toward Spain? Italy? Balkans? Continue East towards Russia? We will have to try to come up with a method to understand the highest potential and set the priorities right...
Final note: This map add-on/DLC will not be free (we are pondering ~EUR 10 price point), but it's an optional expansion. Throughout the year 2013, we are going to keep improving the core game with free updates for everybody with fixes and many improvements, including for example all new trucks models, or new AI code. So while the 1.3.x patch is very near, stay tuned for further patches coming down the road. And some surprises on top of it all ;-).

What worries me is the city skylines look great but at the same time make existing cities in the game look outdated. Will you be revisiting the existing map during your patch cycles to improve assets within the game. Especially the UK by correcting inaccuracies like Electricity Pylons and also skylines of major UK cities like London!
ReplyDelete!!! great news!!! cant wait to buy it!!
ReplyDeleteCan you add Norway to? :)
DeleteI think €10- is to expensive, I am with a bit of luck crazy enough to pay €5,50-
ReplyDeleteand for the rest of france and a part of spain (combined) I am willing to pay €7-
maybe you could add bilbords in game with real adds (like mcdonalds or apple or samsung or something), they might be willing to pay for it ;)
DeleteZuinige Hollander = Cheap Dutch...
DeleteDat klopt, maar dan nog is het aan de dure kant.
Deleteexactly...the game has not spain, the half of france and italy.10 euro for the rest of poland i think is too much..
DeleteI think somewhere around 10€ is spot on. Looking forward to the DLC! The current pictures look amazing.
DeleteNooo I wont pay 10 euro for poland... I would pay 10 euro for the whole europe... this is going like forza now...
DeleteJust to put another perspective on it, i've just eaten a Dominos pizza. It cost me £17.99. I ate 2/3rds of it. The rest will probably get binned tomorrow. 10€ is f**k all. If you're not willing to pay it then don't but i say bring it on SCS.
DeleteGreat news, any plan to add Istanbul also ?
DeleteExactly, fully agree - in McD you spent 10 euros and you eat with hands from paper...
Delete10€? In Poland The Game cost 19€ :)
DeleteSo I think the best price will be 7.5€ :D
(In McD I spent about 4€ when You spent 10€ :P )
Yeah... I paid like €20 - €30 for the game.
DeletePaying €10 for just a bit of extra map...
I'd pay €10 if you'd also updated a few other cities, because some really are 4 crappy streets.
Don't get me wrong, I love the game, but I f*cking hate DLC, I paid for the game, why would I pay for it again?
€10... I don't know... It isn't much, but I'm not sure if it's worth it and you know why?
Because the map is giganti already!!
10 euros for that seems a little too much for me i am afraid.
ReplyDeleteBesides, i was looking forward to Italy and Spain.
North Italy that is in game already need a fix, since in game it's full of hills that shoudn't really be there.
Go for Scandinavia.. not Russia....
ReplyDeleteIt would be good to see some improvements to the AI weather alongside Scandinavia maps so that it can replicate snow and ice. Imagine driving through Scandinavia in the deep of winter with blizzards howling. I wonder how the trucks would react? :-)
Deleteagree whit you. and norway wuld bee great, and a lot of difrent roads going upp and down, between mountains and narrow roads
DeleteRegarding Eastern Europe, I see that you went all the way until Hungary - is there any problem with Romania as part of the game? I am really eager to see such a game that features Romania but it seems that everybody avoids it.
ReplyDeleteYep... it would be great to have an expansion to Romania or at least Transylvania, cuz there are some important lanmarks in Timisoara, Cluj and Sibiu... Not to mention about the great landscapes from the region and one of the best routes in the world: Transfagarasan.
DeleteYes I will be happy to see Romania on the game map,but i think that the map should include the others eaftern coutries. For example a cargo from Paris or London to the Grecce throught Romania and Bulgaria or Serbia.Every time the most biggesst west coutries are added but the easten coutries are not. It's unfair!
DeleteAwesome to see this! I hope the next stop will be nordic countries (not only Scandinavia), something I have waited since the first Euro Truck Simulator. I'd love to be able to drive a big logging truck on small dirt roads in Finland.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.metla.fi/uutiskirje/msu/2010-2-MSU-PUU/img/puurekka.jpg
But take your time with this stuff. I wonder the same as Chris Herbert, would this kind of map expansion only add new areas or would it improve the existing also? 10 euros (being a good price point for something like this in my opinion) is afterall 1/3 of the price of the whole game and some use that as a measure how much content should such expansions deliver.
Good job anyways, the cities' skylines look great.
10 euros for that is too expensive...5 euros max
ReplyDeleteI paid 20 euros for the whole game and now 10 euros for this dlc only...way too much
ReplyDeleteI also think that 10 euros is too much for a DLC of just one country. Consider that is 1/3 of the total price of the game.
ReplyDeleteI have nothing against DLC, but I'd like to see more for that price, or that Poland were a little more cheap. Besides, there still a lot from the original game that need improvement (such as physics, lighiting, etc) before you come up with paid expansions (I know that they are optional, but you would expect some issues solved before this kind of projects).
Maybe you should double check the map. While they are extending Poland, they are also adding new Czech cities and some cities of a new country (Hungary).
DeleteDon't forget, that there are 2 cities from Slovakia (Bystrica and Kosice).
DeleteGo for Balkans !!!
ReplyDeleteyes go for balkans 10$ is too much for only poland!!!!
Delete$5 Euro is a much better price and one I would happily pay for this expansion and further expansions 10 Euro is too steep for just some more Poland. I am happy for the DLC though an hope to see many more Scandinavia/ Nordic DLC would be very nice- long distances, few cities but lots of industry transport jobs like logging and chemicals ect. to transport.
ReplyDelete+1
DeleteVery nice work! I think 10 euro's is okay, willing to pay that amount. Although, for the a Scandinavian (all the way up to the North Cape) i would be willing to pay 50 euro's... hint hint...
ReplyDeleteGreat to see some DLC news.
ReplyDeleteAs someone with limited income, considering the man hours and size of the EEE, €10 for this is the perfect price and certainly I'd be happy to pick it up as soon as it's made available.
As a UK citizenI am sure any future DLC will go in directions I am happy with.
I would love Latvia to make an appearance as I am part Latvian, but I would also love to be able to go up to Norway, down to Spain (with hope that the Millau Viaduct would be included in the south of France) and perhaps even across to Ireland. I'm not really sure which way I'd want the map to go first, but I have no doubt that they all might be included at some point if it proves fruitful for SCS to make more paid DLC.
http://img72.imageshack.us/img72/584/fotoforonexhout.jpg
ReplyDeleteSCS can also make this trailer for ets2.kan you that than with a pach or dlc.mijn father riding with wood for timber plants in belgium
€ 10 is not expensive for a first paid DLC.
ReplyDeleteI hope that other DLC will be the same quality.
to the entire team of SCS is the exellent work you do keep it up,
there will be no more need for mods to improve the game
10€ is a nice price. I'll pay for it.
ReplyDeleteScandinavia next, snälla!
ReplyDeletescandinavia whit sweden, danmark and norway/norge
DeleteLooks great! Thanks for the great news SCS. Can't wait to see Scandinavia and double-trailers later? ;)
ReplyDeleteItaly (Firenze .... Roma ....Napoli ...), please :-) !!!!
ReplyDeleteAfter this one,Scandinavia and France/Spain please.
ReplyDeleteToo much Eastern content in the game now :D
Awesome news! :)
ReplyDeleteBut.. where is the patch ? :D
what about ireland lads?
ReplyDeleteIt sounds nice. What about new trailers models? Those trailers which are in game are ugliness itself.
ReplyDeleteIt's quite some work you're doing.. I'm a 3D modeller, maby I could help? For free of course.. Oh, and I guess the motorway to Poznan is also updated, because in real life it's already finished.. And I, at least, am willing to pay 10€. Although I think perfect price would be 8,50€. Nothing really specific, just what seems right to me.
ReplyDeleteWould have preferred an enhancement pack for the UK tbh. The motorways and motorway junctions are nothing like the real thing
ReplyDeleteThere is already a Scandinavian project. They are very proffesional and have some great details. They also work for free :D so check their page: https://www.facebook.com/ETS2Scandinavia?ref=hl
ReplyDeleteLooks really awesome!!!
It's going to be annoying for them when the EEE DLC is released. They will have to make two versions of their map mod. One for those with the DLC and one without.
DeleteYes and no.
DeleteSorry but 1/3 of the game for a DLC that only adds some Eastern Europ Countries is a little bit to much in my opinion.
Don't forget that there map is already history when the patch come, and even more when the DLC come.
DeleteOstrava !!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThx SCS :))
hummmmm 7,50 would be more reasonable as the game is 30 but that said if the updates will be frequently comming I would gladly pay the 10 euro..
ReplyDeleteas I really like the game.
but what I would really like is a coop mode in witch you can run the game and company with a friend that would really make the game shine :D
How would it? It's not a racing game, and the map is so big you would never see the people you are playing with. Would be a complete waste of time for SCS to implement.
Deleteyou could add convoy missions meaning deliverys of 2 trailers for example and running the company together and so on...
DeleteWe want more info about new patch, changelog and fixes...
ReplyDeleteeconomically the price is too high i think. you just pay 1/3 of the original game's price for only +/- 1/5 part of the game.
ReplyDelete€5,00 would be a better price, but it is your game SCS =)
I agree 10 euros is to expensive. At the current exchange rate that is £8.57 (pounds sterling). €5 would be a much better price.
Deletefinally!FINALYYYYYY!!!but come one release the patch already!!!
ReplyDeleteRussia!
ReplyDeletespain portugal or Balkan like Greece...
ReplyDeleteI'd love to see Portugal and Spain as well.
Delete+ 1000
DeleteWhen th patch comes ?
ReplyDeletegreat idea , next should be southern Europe , France, Spain , Portugal and Italy. then Balkan and then Scandinavian and the the final one Russia :D
ReplyDelete+1000like
DeleteReally happy to hear about DLCs. I hope they are also available on Steam, as with other games, so they get linked to the account.
ReplyDeleteOn a similar topic, and even if I already wrote about this before, I want to insist again that this game, (and specially after all the success and looking to the future with next sim releases using same engine), it needs to update the way mods or extras are loaded into the game, allowing players to mix several mods that modify same files.
I have no problem showing an example again. Instead of re-load the road.sii file, if found in a ZIP, there should be a way of just including the changed data. For instance, shoulder_left set to "0" in "road1", and overwrite just this value when loading the game. Another mod could change the value for "ground_texture" in "road10" in another mod, and this one would be overwritten, so we could have these two mods installed.
With the map its a bit more tricky, but to say it short, it would be as "easy" as saving only the modifications done in the editor, and the game would load the base (official) map, and then overwrite the changes from the mods installed. New coordinates for itemid, new items, or items removed, so we could also have several mods that do different modifications to the map (roadworks, bigger city, new companies...).
I would also like to end this post with a feature suggestion: buyable trailers, that we could have in the garages. If I buy and attach a fridge-schmitz, I could take apples, cheese, etc.. and of course return empty to another city if needed.
Thanks for your time.
Great news! Can't wait to drive across Poland (and expand map to Latvia :P)
ReplyDeleteThis is great news!!! Finally, I get to deliver not only to my country capital (Budapest), but also to my favorite Hungarian city - here I come, Debrecen!
ReplyDeleteThat said, while I'm being happy to see that Hungary eventually made it to the game, I also have some comments regarding the info and pictures of this blog entry...
1. As others wrote above, the 10€ pricetag is indeed a bit much if we consider the proportions. The DLC adds 13 new cities for 10 euros, while the base game comes with 69 for about 30€... I know that the new areas need new prefabs, models and other level props, but still, you should also think about adding some small gameplay additions to this package to justify this price. On the other hand, I'd be more than happy to pay 5-6 euros for this addon.
2. Not counting the skylines and the unreachable building decorations, the cities look pretty much the same - take away the Parliament and the Police Center from the background of Budapest, and you've got an urban area which looks exactly the same as Wien, Stuttgart, or dozens of other "stock" cities. It would be great if the drivable areas would also look and feel different. Take the existing Polish cities as an example, their drivable areas are indeed designed and built to look different than the copy-pasted cities inherited from German Truck Simulator.
3. Finally, if you need any custom reference pictures from Budapest, Debrecen and the Hungarian highways, feel free to contact me... You know my e-mail address. :)
ReplyDeleteI do not see a change. One city or another. All the same map and no different.
Price 10 euros is the price of a new game.
There is no sense in this.
Really great news, can`t wait for this! 10 euros is a good price for me. Hope to see Scandinavia next time, and then southern Europe. The good thing about moving north and south is that we will get new kinds of landscape/scenery. The countries in the game now is all on the same latitude.
ReplyDeleteGreat news...And not-so-great news: The game is still not avaiable in Bulgaria
ReplyDeleteWhy don't just buy it from steam of from www.eurotrucksimulator2.com ?
DeleteAmazon dude....or buy it from them direct.
DeleteScandinavia! would be soooooo cool! even tho someone is creating it i think it might would be a better one if you do it? :)
ReplyDelete10 euros isn't good price 4 euros and they are too much 20 euros has all the game so...
ReplyDeleteSo basically Finland, Norway and Sweden wont be included? Are these northern countries meaningless to you? After all, Scania and Volvo are built in Sweden... What a shame...
ReplyDelete+1
DeleteYes, that's right. it's a big shame. I support scandinavia in the game.
there is allready scandinavia mod coming so patience about that finland.. (i wait it too)
DeleteThat's a very great news. I am voting for expansion to Northern Europe (Scandinavia and Baltic states). where I live.
ReplyDeleteI think price is too big, it would be appropriate if the expansion would been bigger, maybe several countries.
Considering what is being written here, it looks like the community wants Scandinavia next.
ReplyDeleteWhy not set up a poll with the alternatives?
Scandinavia,Rest of France with an option to go toward Spain,Italy, Balkans:9 no Russia :)
ReplyDeleteNot Russia? Why?
Delete@Oleg - I think Manu dislikes Russia being added because of all those videos circulating with accidents in Russia ;)
Delete:D
DeleteIs a nice price to pay, but this expansion needs to be perfect.
ReplyDeleteGreat news!!
ReplyDeleteI think 10€ is too expensive though. If this add-on is worth 10€, how much will cost for example France and Spain which should be bigger?! ... I think 5€, 6 at the very most, would be enough.
Looking forward to it anyway :) You're doing a great job guys!!
Vote for Scandinavia next too!!

ReplyDeleteThanks for this gift from SCS Software.

Put Kaliningrad in the game and, technically, map will have Russia included. :D
ReplyDeleteThats actually a brilliant idea! It shouldnt require much more work than adding another polish city. I would love to see Kaliningrad in this expansion :D
DeleteETS2 will be one of the largest simulator maps out there!
ReplyDeleteImagine if one day all of Europe was available to drive in...
Move in the direction of Scandinavia and Russia :)
ReplyDeleteIt might be a little bit difficult for me to justify paying 10 euros for this DLC, when I paid 15 euros for the main game on Green Man Gaming (it costs 22 euros there, plus a 20% discount coupon and a few trade-ins I had).
ReplyDeleteIf it is 5 euros (and it is available from Steam) then there is no question that I will purchase this and future DLC. For 10 euros, I just keep thinking that after about 3 DLCs I will have spent more on DLCs than on the game itself...
Think of it like this: if you released a new DLC every 3-4 months for 5 euros, I'd keep purchasing them on day one of release. If they are 10 euros, eventually I'd give up trying to justify them and just ignore them. In the end, you make more money with cheaper-priced DLC due to volume.
As for new locations for future additional content, I'm partial to the rest of France along with Spain and Portugal. I'd love to visit Portugal.
+100000000000000
DeleteExcept you have to think the game's price as the one that is set by the publisher/developer, not something that is sold on discount on some other sites. I got the game for free, but I wouldn't say "hey, I didn't pay anything for the actual game, but now I'm supposed to pay something for a DLC?".
DeleteWork towards east of Europe, it would be more popular I think
ReplyDeleteI knew it :D I saw this in the base.scs already ^^
ReplyDelete10 Eur DLC never
ReplyDeleteCities look again equal
SCS is for me closed
10E is too expensive. However if 10E were the price for this first DLC but also included a few of the next DLC map packs it would seem more fair.
ReplyDeleteNeed to know if the DLC will require a new save game or if we can continue with our existing saves.
Keep up the good work!
in fact, these countries should already be in the main game
DeleteSCS is dead to me
laughable
I think this is a bit unfair to SCS, the original game is fairly big as it is. Its not possible to include everywhere. Perhaps they could have covered a few more countries initially but this would have come at the cost of a lower level of detail within each country.
DeleteThey also don't seem to prevent the modding community creating free expansions which is commendable imo, the Africa mod looks very good!
Sure, and while they were at it they should have made sure all the distances were real, every single road exactly replicated as it is and why not make all the potholes that is in the road IRL?
DeleteJeez guys, they have made a great game, so stop whining about how "small" it is, and that all the countries you want didn't get included. Be happy that they even make a game like this.
Fantastic news! Keep up the amazing work SCS Software team.
ReplyDeleteDiversity by building cities, base load and architectural structures. All cities are of one mind. Don't see any point in such work.
ReplyDeleteDLC is good idea but we waiting for double trailers etc... Can we get more information about things like that?
ReplyDeletePeterbilt6106 yesil
Please include double trailers next.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you've made progress with the map expansion. It's nice to see Poland completed, along with more of the Czech Republic and bits of Hungary. However the first thing I would have preferred would have been to complete France and Italy... as incomplete countries they NEED to be done. I'm willing to pay for this, for sure... but 10 EUR for a relatively small expansion of the map seems a bit much. 5 seems more like it.
ReplyDeleteJust my opinion but this is what I think the priority should be for further updates:
1. Finish France and Italy! (They're incomplete, and it's regrettable that two large countries are each less than 1/3 complete.)
1. Finish France and Italy!
2 or 3. Spain and Portugal (since they were included in ETS1)
2 or 3. Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Finland (there is HUGE demand for these countries and even if you only made the southern parts of these countries, it would probably be the best addition you ever made to the map.)
4. Ireland and Northern Ireland (this is a small addition and would be really easy to do)
5. The Balkan countries (while there is demand for them, I personally am more interested in expansions in Northern and Western Europe, and plus I'm sure more people want Scandinavia)
Not at all: continuing on towards Russia. I think it would be better to see more complete EU/EFTA coverage instead.
Not counting on Russia? Seriously, WTF? Don't you think that there are quite a lot of fans playing ETS2 who want to have their homeland in game?
DeleteOf course, there are plenty of Russian ETS2 fans who would love that! But then there are also lots of Scandinavian fans, and fans from other European countries that aren't yet included on the map, and they would also love to have their countries covered. And of course, fans from countries that ARE on the map might be more inclined to go for northern, western and southern European options, especially if they have personal experience with those countries. Players do like to see places they're familiar with recreated in the game; it's always nice to recognise things ;)
DeleteIf Russia were to be included, it would have to be such a small part of it... think about it, even without covering as many countries as we'd like, the game map is still very large! It would be possible to have full coverage of France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Ireland, Denmark and even all the Balkan countries (except maybe the Greek islands), just like the countries that are already fully covered. Personally I'm a great supporter of the idea of a Scandinavian expansion, but realistically I would only expect to see the southern halves of Norway, Sweden and Finland, simply because the map is so big! And if it went into Russia, it would only be realistic to have it go about as far as Moscow... which many Russian fans might not consider to be enough.
It seems much more realistic and manageable to focus on Northern, Western and Southern Europe and complete those missing countries, before attempting to expand the map into Russia. So that's why I have my priority list the way it is. That's my personal opinion... I would like to see a more complete map of the EU/EFTA area.
Scandinavia! :D I love this game and it's nice to see that you are expanding it. Keep up the great work! :D
ReplyDeleteNow you can also do Slovenia, because you have Hungary, Austria, and northern part of Italy. Then I hope for Balkan.
ReplyDeleteWill You sell DLC in box version?
ReplyDeleteScandinavia would be alot of fun to drive in scince there are alot of tight roads in both Sweden and Norway.
ReplyDeleteThis is unbelievable...
ReplyDeleteSome people pay about 4€ for a pack of cigarettes, or about 5€ for an hamburguer or about 3€ for a coca-cola in a pub... and it´s ok.
but pay 10€ for all this work, now they think it is too much???? really??
I think it is a fair price to help support this company.
Many of us pay 50€ or 70€ to play Xbox games or Playstation 3 games.... and no one complains.
Let´s be fair, for me, it is also hard to earn money, i have to work very hard all days, but we can not say that 10€ is too much for this first DLC.
About the next ones... we will see latter on.
Best Regards to all, and yes, please include Portugal :)
That's not the point, the price of a small expansion is way out of line with the price of the game in total. Try Flight Simulator, those prices are in line with the game. For PMDG for example you pay a low price compared to this expansion in ETS2. Quality people will pay for, not quantity.
DeletePrice of users = 5 Euros .... SCS price = 10 Euros ...... final price = 7.50 Euros and we are all happy :D
ReplyDelete10€ what is about half price of game for about 10 cities and small peace of map is too much - maybe about 5€
ReplyDeletewe discuss on Croatian forum fo ETS 2 about this and conclusion is that you will not get support with that
A good option would be include barriers in the patios of companies to difficult the delivery load
ReplyDeleteGood stuff. Somewhere between 7 and 10 euros seems a fair price.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to see France, Italy and Spain/Portugal added next.
ill pay i think its worth it since were getting free updates and patches
ReplyDeleteI think 10 Euros *might* be a little too much for the quantity in the expansion pack, but will definitely buy it anyway in the hopes of keeping development going, so we get to see how big and awesome ETS2 can become. :-)
ReplyDeleteA lot of people seem to want Scandanavian countries as the next expansion, and I agree... with one condition. Throw in Ireland/N.I. as a 'bonus'. It's very small and 2 cities would be enough. ;-)
Looking forward to the patch and the expansion... keep up the great work, SCS!
go to portugal, spain our another place 10euros for the eastern map???? are u f*ching kiding mi??? lets see!
ReplyDelete30euros or 20euros-for the game+10euros-DLC = 40euros!
thats to much just for a game!
the scs software is rich because they got lots of games like GTS, UKTS, BUS DRIVER and more, and when they see money they sai:

ReplyDeleteI agree with you on the fact that they have to pay the patch of expansion of the game as to expand the map, but also on the models of coamion saw that in the meantime are leaving the new Mercedes Actros, Volvo fh and very little of the Daf Xf. I continue to ask you to be able to have the double trailers between the other things. THANKS
ReplyDeleteCertainly, the begun countries (Italy, France and that there still) should be finished, but also to move to Scandinavia, Russia and certainly to the Baltic countries after all in the Baltic countries not so a lot of work too is excellent slightly less than Poland, we Will allow Lithuania (Kaunas, Vilnius, Klaipeda, etc.) Latvia (Bausk, Riga, Ventspils, Liyepaya, Daugavpils direction to Russia, Valmiyera-napravleniye to Pskov well and Aynazhi-the direction to Tallinn) Well and Estonia (Tallinn, Tartu, to Pyarna and other cities of Estonia) After all Roads In Latvia are Not so good as in Lithuania and Poland (many holes) Holes would give to interest to players Because On the equal road as in the main card of game not so interesting to go to ETS2 personally to me because the cabin shakes a little, personally in game warnings Suffice to me but there are no holes which would be to be passed. After all in game of a cabin shake only at rise or descent!
ReplyDelete+100 )
Deleteadd bad roads, with holes will be interesting :)
I was hoping they'd finish the massive chunks missing from Western Europe first... but oh well. That being said, it does look interesting, and will probably please our Eastern friends no end.
ReplyDeleteI'll probably just wait for a price mark down or something, especially if they pull the old 1 EUR = 1 GBP stunt a lot of companies seem to be going with these days.
So for me € 10 are fully appropriate when you consider the time period of the program, it is actually too low (below cost of coverage)
ReplyDeleteI'll buy the DLC in any case.
The game should be a variety of things of interest.
ReplyDeleteHere's an example:

SCANDINAVIAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteFor the rest of Poland 10 euros????
ReplyDeleteWhat a joke!
10 Euro's for a small addition? Hell no.. If this game is going the way it's heading I'm considering to leave it as it is. No Spain available, one of the biggest countries and the decision is let's ad more Eastern Europe, no offense to our Eastern friends but the Iberian Peninsula missing or Scandinavia is a missed chance.
ReplyDelete10 Euro's? I bought that fucking game and need pay for some city's? Serious FUCK YOU SCS,you are very crazy about it! We don't need pay for your not-finished work! Dumb dumb dumb SCS!
ReplyDeleteHere's one of those spoiled brats I mentioned in another thread.
Deleteadd multiplayer in the DLC please!! good work SCS
ReplyDeleteMy Favorite for the Map Are Italy and Scandinavia.
ReplyDeletethe same shit with other companies. Paid to get one fucking update!!!
ReplyDeleteNo thanks
Good job guys

DeleteTram rides on stone road)xD
How about fixing engine sound in cabin??
ReplyDeleteSo i dont have to max out speakers just to hear when to change gear.
For me 10 euros, it's expensive, a maximum that I can count to 5 euros DLC. Please give in the price, I ETS -2 cost $ 13 dollars in Steame, and the complement is solely responsible for less than half the 5-7 dollars, not 10 euros. You upset me. DLS no one to buy for the price.
ReplyDeleteWhy pay for things I already have through mods? I don't get it. You should better create more and also older Trucks, thats what I would pay for.
ReplyDeletePlease include GREECE in next expansion! Greetings :)
ReplyDeleteIt would be great if you could push it further East to Romania next!
ReplyDeleteYES IN THIME FINALLY HUNGARY ! MAKE MORE COUNTRIES THIS GAME IS RULZ !!4
ReplyDeletePagar 10€ por un DLC "pequeña" del mapa me parece excesivo, si en esa actualización incluyeran Italia, Francia y Norte de España si valdría los 10€. Se que es un trabajo pero cuantos pagaran por dicho DLC
ReplyDeleteDear SCS Studio,
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on making such an awesome game and thank you for developing it on daily basis. All patches and expansions are welcome, however, I paid 20 euros for the original game and I DO NOT intend to pay 50 more euros for five map expansions. I know you are a small, indie studio, but FIFA 13, Assassin's Creed 3, Battlefield 3... They all cost less than 30 euros for me and I still play them. A lot. Especially online.
Don't think of my comment as a critique, it's just a simple observation. I will not give you half the game price for 12 Polish cities. Polish gaming community will, as would I should you include Croatia in the game. What I'm saying is that people would gladly give you 10, 15 euros for a larger map expansion (west France, Italy, Denmark, Slovenia, Hungary, the Polish part from the screenshot), 10 more for Spain, Portugal, whole Italy, Croatia, Balkans, Scandinavia, Russia, Ukraine) and so on.
Keep up with the good work SCS! :)
hi there
ReplyDelete10 euro for a DLC? no sry i like the game drive every day but thtats too much
It's not a good thing for me. The map at the moment is little, because there are a lot of zones missing.. And if you must pay for them, it's not a good thing.
ReplyDeleteAnd for me, it's expensive. I pay 15 Euros the game, and I must pay 10 Euros for a new part of the map?!
10 euros is fine, I'm happy to pay.
ReplyDeleteTo all the moaners: go get a job.
go to the brothel with 10 euros. Go for a walk!!!
DeleteScandinavia! Denmark, Sweeden, Norway. I will give 50 € for it!
ReplyDeleteHey Scs .. Good job on ETS2 and all other recent patches and of course the pictures look great on this new patch .. ! Ireland should be on the map i recon with fairy crossings from wales and scotland etc :)
ReplyDeletekeep up the good work..! continue with italy and then with a ferry to greece..!
ReplyDeleteyes my friend I agree with you, but until you make the map of Greece will pay for the game 100 euros!!!
DeleteWow! :D I can't wait for this to come out. I'm happy to pay 10 Euros (or whatever it converts to in AUD).
ReplyDeleteScandinavia! Denmark, Sweeden, Norway.
ReplyDeleteScandinavia, of course! With a possibility to drive from Poland through the Baltic countries (Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia) across the Gulf of Finland and keep on going along the coast of Gulf of Bothnia to Sweden and Norway. In Finland you could create a Helsinki-Turku-Tampere-triangle.
ReplyDeleteAgree with you, that parst of Europe like Southern part of Europe they every time forgott or ther don't know that this countries even exist :)
DeleteHow about to have in mind in futur that the Balkan countries still exist like every other country from Southern Europe, every body forgotted about this country -.-!
ReplyDeleteLooks very interesting!
ReplyDeleteFor the future I would love to see Scandinavia!
Also special truck chassis like 8x4 & Scania T-line would make a nice add-on! Maybe make a model pack with that kinda stuff? (& nope, mods are nice but they can't beat the scs models ;) )
As a Swedish man (born and raised), i would LOVE Scandinavia. Pretty sure it would add ALOT of game features (harbors, trains, different landscapes)!
ReplyDeleteI understand support to the polish, but must say (sorry), NOT a very exalting DLC ;( Boring. May not even buy it, even if cost is ok..
Hope you focus on us northens ;)
Hola! Oh! My God, great news. Thanks for your work. Buy the expansion to the east of course.
ReplyDeleteGuys do not forget you west, Spain and Portugal please!.
Greetings from Spain :-)
Balkans in my opinion. :)
ReplyDelete10 bucks for more empty roads and cities? Are you really fucking kiding SCS? Remember that you are no more doing only with your stupid comunnity of eunuchs and retards, you are now in steam, and your greed will take your little company down.
ReplyDelete... and another spoiled brat...
DeleteEveryone who will spend 100€ on one game is spoiled brat
Deletethe update sounds good and i look forward to it. For a possible future update, how about going into denmark. This provides a link into scandinavia along with the lithuania, estonia, latvia route. The balkans would be a very good update too as it seems a lot of people buy the game from that region.
ReplyDeletekeep up the good work!
Czechs price in 10 euro. twisted my Well with this price no one agreed for 13 cities they require 10 euros is ridiculous, that's like 40 cities for example, but for them I also would give 10 euros. And only 5 euros maximum.
ReplyDeleteComplaining about the price scs has to make a living buy it you support scs and they can go on making the game better 10 euros fine with me I will buy it
ReplyDeleteTo all those saying 10 euros is too much for just Poland: please have a closer look at the updated map, it does add quite a bit in terms of pure road distance. It might not be as much as 1/3 of total road distance of the original ETS2, but it seems pretty close.
ReplyDeleteWhat's more important is that the landscape is diverse and has plenty of new building models that would make particular cities and roads unique. In other words, it's a matter of quality vs quantity. I don't now how about you guys, but I'd rather go for quality.
To all those who say they couldn't care less about Poland: look at it this way, if the EEE is successful, then SCS is more likely to make an addon map including your country next time. So, don't be a douchebag and buy the map when it will become available.
In general, I think SCS are taking the right path: free improvements to the core game and non-free addon maps.
it is not 1/3 distance.
DeleteIt is shame that is better DLC then an stock game
Make a map of Scandinaiva.. There is alot of pretty nature, alot of water and bridges, and especially sweden and norway also have mountains..
ReplyDeleteThere are also alot of ferries example from Denmark to Norway.
EN:
ReplyDeleteGreat! I live in Poland and I love ETS 2!
PL:
Zajebiście! Mieszkam w Polsce i kocham ETS 2!
ROMANIA?
ReplyDeleteI think that there should be certain areas where theres snow. Thing's like snow or thunder when raining is what the game need to add that feeling in to it. But great news, looking forward to the rest of Poland.
ReplyDeleteAwesome News!! When u wanna sell us dlc? :D
ReplyDeleteAmazing,
ReplyDeleteI didnt expect such a huge map expansion so soon (and also as you are working on updates and improvements of the actual game). Thanks for all your work, I only hope you reach the Iberiar Peninsula and see Bilbao (Basque Country) in ETS2.
Keep on trucking!
First at all Estern Europe is not half of Poland.
ReplyDeleteSecond is that we will need 100€ to cover whole Europe with their DLCs.
I support DLCs but DLCs for bigger parts of Europe. Firs DLC could be to finish unfinished coutries in game.
It's not important how much time they need for map becouse that depend of their skill.
Have you ever thought about Turkey, Cyprus, Armenia, Georgia? They are also European right?
ReplyDeletegreat I'm so happy
ReplyDeleteWhat about adding diference between all of that motors in ETS2 for trucks? I think its a little bit screwed when all of them have same acceleration or max speed, and that speedlimiter really su*ks because although when you remove it with mod it su*ks... Why? Because Its not fun when you are going to buy a new truck and you know there wont be any diferences in speed acceleration and other things which is the main priority in simulators like this. I am happy when i finally get better Truck, but i am really bored when i must go in still same speed -_- ... Thanks ... and about that map hmm... 10€ only for East Europe is too much maybe + Italy and North Europe it would be great price :)
ReplyDelete10 Euro is a bit too much. You sure deserve profit with this great game, but here in Brasil this is a lot of money.
ReplyDeleteBeauty SCS!!
ReplyDeleteI just hope they do not continue deserted cities.
Gooo for scandinavia that would be the greatest thing :D
ReplyDeleteAnd make the globetraveller sign be optional please
I bought the original game on 20/10/2012 because I'm a fan of SCS,now expanded for 10 euros is very expensive for the players of Brazil, in my humble opnion SCS this DLC should cost $ 5.00. Please analyze better the value of this expansion so that everyone can buy it.
ReplyDeleteManoDelta - Brazil
I simply dont think that this should be an add-on, its marketed as "European Truck Simulator" thus I expect the whole of Europe to be there not mainly Germany and mainland Britain with the rest tacked on.
ReplyDelete10 Euro is wayyy too much for something that should be in the game, max 2 Euro or less.
If you really want add-ons, I wouldn't mind something like cosmetic stuff, i.e. skins for the trucks, more people skins. Not fundimental parts like this new "add-on".
you fucking your going to pay the 10 € to patch that shit cost 30 € I spent with the fucking game and now you come with this surprise? walks that I fucked sloppy geeks, you have enough money to GTS, ETS1, UK truck, T & T, BD, 18 wos ... some are starving, having said that ivais receivable for the fucking maps I had not spent the 29.99 it cost me the game is of bitches
ReplyDeleteWould be very cool to get the Scandinavia! :D
ReplyDeleteMaybe make it 5€ for every DLC, and I will buy any DLC you put out. I already made myself a no-speed-limit-mod, but would even pay 5€ to get this as an official DLC.
ReplyDeleteCan you go through Excalibur Publishing so that it's available on the United State's Amazon.com??? Just like ETS2 is
ReplyDeleteIm waiting for screenshots of BIAŁYSTOK! <3
ReplyDeleteSo this game will cost us over 100 euros when they cover whole Europe???? Fuck that shit...
ReplyDelete
