We have been writing earlier about the new Iveco Stralis Hi-Way being cooked in "our labs." We would like to show you some more of it today. Driven in the DLC setting - city Banská Bystrica, Slovakia.
You should be able to drive the new Hi-Way in the upcoming patch. In the future, we intend to release more new trucks and configurations for you. Several more trucks are in various stages of completion; our commitment to Euro Truck Simulator 2 is steady and long-term. Last but not least, new and face-lifted trucks will be included in future patches free of charge.

DeleteThere should be some (if not many) updates with the accessories too. I have a dream work, and a Company for it, but why can't I stamp my name and logo on to my trucks? Or why can't I localise my trucks to see where my labor is driving? And Ihave heard that sometimes somewhere someone even tries to rob some Cargos, but It never happens to me.. even in the game. And if SCS does not get licence from Stuttgart, should they not crash it from the game? World could be a better place with out Actros or lookalikes?!
ReplyDeleteSCS has a great idea in here, but why is the testing left for consumers? If there is gonna be bus stops and a bus driving career availeble, why not a shipment career too? Like delivery from and to a Freight Forwarder from the manufacturer of goods. Like trucking career in a City? And in some adds it's been said that you can buy also trailer in the game, where can I do that? Haven't found a trailer dealer yet.
Theirs quite a few mods out there that turn the Majestic across in to a real actros, the best one ive seen is on a mod called "game fixes" It also changes the name in all the menus, and the dealers. if you don't want the other stuff on the mod, just open them as a zip file and remove the rest of the crap. That's what I did.

What we need is new camera angles. I'd like to be able to switch positions in the truck, from the bunk to the passenger side. While on the passenger side you should be able to lean out the window as well like the driver seat.

Funny how nobody notices the detail about the ecometer in the dashboard. I bet this is no coincidence. ETS2 goes more towards simulation and from next patch on drivers might be responsable for their fuel consumption. Good work!

ReplyDeleteI now have all the drivers and a bucket load of money, but some how, ended up buying more iveco's than any other truck. I don't even really like the Iveco. I usually drive a volvo, or scania depending on my mood. Replacing the fleet with the hiway is going to get expensive, I may even end up driving the Hi-way Because its a new truck. Awesome job though scs can't wait for the new patch, and eventually the new volvo. I'm glad you're taking your time to get it right though, instead of rushing it out like most of the community seems to want.

DeleteSwitch brain on before posting man. Doubles can't be parked in most company yards in ETS2. This is the reason why they were not, are not and will never be in ETS2.
DeleteThe thing is, if SCS made doubles possible, modders can make BDF's adding more variety to the trucks you can drive in the game. Yes, you can park them for example in NBFG yard and SCS can make a special cargo only to be delivered in large unloading yards. It's just a matter of will.

DeleteAs I look at this blog, I see the Hate side of my own "Love / Hate " of this game. I also see that the fan club is not defending you anymore. This Game ETS2 has cost me personaly way to much for what I have, versus what I was promised. Not only have I bought just about every game SCS made in the last 5 years, (which BTW are basically the same boring games without the nicer graphics) but also a steering wheel. I'm starting to regret it a lot. Also "granted it's my own doing" flunked a semester of college playing and loving on this game, With Mods, Memory allocation, and just tweeking the game to make it the Best. Now for what seems like months, waiting everyday, checking this and every other site for any info on my favorite games update or patch. With almost all the mod and blog sites in other countries, and Google translate sucks, partaking in stuff doesn't work too good. This ruins a lot of outside interaction for english speaking people. But still hanging on to a thread, Sorry for the pun, lol, Seriously -- This may be a bit extreme, but it is how it has played out for me. I guess I'm to blame for being so Naive and taking you at your word. And I think I'm not alone.

What I'd really love to see is a second-hand truck shop where you can buy slightly damaged, lots of miles of the clock etc as playing a vanilla game it is taking me an age to save for my 2nd driver / truck at my first depot. A second-hand used truck for about half the price of new one would be a good starter truck for a low rated driver. lots of room on the outskirts of city's for a used truck lot. Perhaps you could have different used trucks available on different days with a message on the Sat nav saying " Glenn's used truck lot special of the day....Man truck 4 previous owners, average mileage, visit us today and grab a bargain..."
Please make a variable time in the game. Storm, strong wind, if possible, and various modes of windshield wipers. If you're reading please see if you can do something about it. Sorry for my bad English.

DeleteThey didnt mean that they rebuilt the game from the ground up. They just rebuilt the graphics engine for the cheap people with rubbish computers that expect every new game to run smooth as silk for them. If they arent going to patch the new graphics engine then how will they do it?

IT HAS NO MEANING, NO STORY, NO INTERESTING, NO MISSIONS, NO GOALS, NO RIVALS... IT HAS NOTHING. NOTHING TO KEEP YOU INTERESTING FOR LONG TIME.
AND THE REALISM IS AT CRITICAL POINT.
IF IT IS A SIMULATOR THE CRASHES SHOULD BE AS CRUCIAL AS REAL LIFE.
THE DRIVING SHOULD BE AS DIFFICULT AS REAL LIFE. IN THIS GAME YOU CAN DRIVE AT SPEED LIMIT (90KPH) ALL THE TIME, LIKE IT IS NOT DRIVING A TRUCK BUT A SMALL CITY CAR.

DeleteAgree totally. Ok there a small team but all scs does is keep making the same game over and over without decent improvements to some KEY features. Eg: Realistic Roads/Maps/Towns & Cities. - The running of a company. - LIFE (people, sounds, animals) you drive into a city and there is no city sounds. No Cops, Fire or Ambulances. A simulator has some or all of these things plus many other features which ETS2 should of had, Its just a Graphically enhanced ETS1 nothing else, nothing more.

DeleteIt's a game guys,a game can't be made like in real life,it's imposible...even if SCS will make it very real some of you would have complains because so are "we",i like this game very much,it's not perfect but SCS worked alot at it...it's a big step from ETS1...the trucks behave very real,i know because my father is a truck driver and he had alot of trucks. Keep up the good work SCS and please release this patch quicker,I can't wait anymore.
