Where can I find more details about the game ? (like the trucks in the game, the trailers in the game, the other landscape vehicles in the game, the countries etc)
Thank you SCS, all these models of interiors that you made are top-notch! :-) Keep up the fantastic work and don't give up on getting licenses for all vehicles! ;-)
Trucks and Trailers Release on 17 June in UK on play.com
£17.99 (GBP)
Hope this helps :)
Back to the post about the game,
Scs fantastic images, Euro Truck Simulator 2 is going to be your best game by far. Really looking forward to the release, hopefully it will be release when i get back from holiday in August :D. I would have a great big smile on my face :D :D :D
But in the mean time ill sit tight ;)
Many Thanks for showing the fans a step by step updates on the game!
Are we getting multi player? If we did that would be awesome, work for you own company or join someone else's company. Also have like you own multi player profile , which could show you truck and parts and also who you drive for. It would be cool also if online when you level up you get a pay rise that would be cool. >>>>> just a thought though :)
Nice work, keep it up. This reminds me that I haven't heard anything about TrackIR yet. Should I assume that, as it works on ET2, ETS1, etc... it should work here too?
In any case I hope it includes some more freedom while moving around, meaning, if the cabin is fully 3D, I should be able to move right, up, down, as long as my detector allows. I found ET2 view a bit limited in this aspect.
And on the TnT gameplay video I noticed a view that looked something like "head out of the window" (to look behind). It would be cool if that could be done with TrackIR too.
In any case, thanks for sharing the development progress.
SCS you are doing great work. But I think small things would make this game even more attraction.I know you are short with money, but this doesn`t take much time but improves game well. First,if you want a simulator,it must be realistic, and if you want to be realistic you must put retarder in trucks. In modern trucks retarder is used more than standard brake. Also there is some things like:Windows up/down(classic in standard, electric as extra equipment),Cd players with lcd that shows name of track that is played, two speed wipers, separate buttons for low and high beam, navigation in truck(you talked about that somewhere in some of the first posts on blog),pedestrians, support for steering wheels(playing GTS on Logitech G25 is not so good). Also wear and tear of the truck:flat tire, broken windshield, broken transmission,...(I know, this would take a while to implement in a game, but those things would make it more realistic). I hope you will read this.Continue good work.
I agree with Stefan completely, specially for retarder. If there wasn't retarder on heavy vehicles like truck and buses, on steep hills, they would fry their brakes off. I have never seen a bus or a truck use foot brake on downhill gradients, only retarder.
Ummm nice but ... something is missing. Oh yes. Where the fu*k is the Parking brake lever? It should be just right from the driver's seat. Just behind the gear-lever at manual gear trucks. http://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTWSKf9YH6_rR-gedzZ7CGvgd7C3hW7Dl5O6ZMB07Z6fmoHCJUWjw&t=1 <=== Here is a link. I hope you see it.
WIP stands for "work in progress", people! Stop asking dumb questions and enjoy having the opportunity to see these interiors come alive. It's a great thing they even bother showing this to us, in such early stages of development. Most developers would rather post only highly polished versions to "catch the eye" of the customer. These guys work hard and are willing to share their progress with you, so let's keep the language within fair limits.
@Omaha, I agree. I am just wondering where the driver are. I wanted to ask this cuestion in an early stage, so that they cam inn plate him/her from the start. I hope it will be a driver in ETS 2. This will make the game more realistic. In the movie posted on Sunday, there were no driver in T and T. SCS do not make this mistake again. This is not a trade mark to be proud of.
@Mikkel Adrian First of all, it wasn't you I was referring to, in my previous comment. :) Yours is not a "dumb" question, it's only logical to wonder who's driving the thing. Actually, this came up in previous posts, even myself coming with a proposition regarding the presence of hands on the steering wheel and knees beneath it. I'm sure SCS got the message and they've already decided about that. Since there is no visible driver (when viewing from the inside), it means it has not been implemented, yet, or it might never be. Second, it's "ohaha" :D Thanks.
@anonymous: It's not called to act like a boss. It's called state of maturity, or grown up. I hope you someday get to know how that feels. Stupid questions are often asked here, and some normal comments clarifying things are welcome.
Oh, and using the words "get a life" doesn't make you look cooler. Let me say that it's a joker card that doesn't make any sense in this case.
And as for Mikkel Adrian, with all due respect, I don't see what the driver has to do with this picture. They are modeling the cabin. It's just a screenshot from a 3D application drawing poligons. Meaning they are just designing the cab, the interior, the different pieces... The driver is another object, that can be placed here or there, higher or lower, smaller or biger.
@ ohaha, It was not the meaning to attack you in any way. I did not believe that you were referring to me. I remember the post you came with about the hands on the steering wheel. This is one of the reason I commented it to. I only wanted to explain why I posted the question.
For the second I do not say that my language is perfect. Your name was simply a wrong placement of my hand on the keyboard.
@Katixa, I asked that Q simply because I will that SCS shall value that opportunity. In my comment I also wrote a reason. The reason was that it where no driver in T and T. SCS themselves has said that much of the graphic etc. is from ETS 2. This mean that the Scania cab from T and T most likely will be lot similar in ets2. You said that they could implant the driver later. So will they implant it in the Scania for ets2?
To SCS please answer if it will be a driver inside the cab. Many people have asked this Q. If you do not know please tell us that.
"Stupid questions are often asked here, and some normal comments clarifying things are welcome."
Only SCS has to deal with such kind of questions (dumb or not), not some random users. I don't want to argue with somebody, I'm only irritated by some smartasses knowing everything thinking they are Godlike and even SCS's secretary. Cheers, and no more offtopic on this, please.
ohaha, annonomus said, No more off-topic like you. But he said pleace at the end. Your comment is more like a commend. This is what annonomus commented. Stopp being a boss (or as katixa said "state of maturity". Had you said pleace I would not off topic it.
Excellent !!!!! Suggestions: Incorporate other vehicles common in cities and the countryside: Examples: bicycles, motorcycles, tractors, buses on the roads and towns; Allow to see the exchange of marches.
Good work, i like new interiors !

It's really cool to follow the development of the entire game. Congratulations!
Please, if there is no license to publish the game with real brands, make these models to download in a unofficial patch! They are all perfect!

ReplyDeleteETS2 will indeed be a treat, as Se7en said above, don't give up getting licences - maybe work like this will convince them you can do them justice!
ReplyDeleteGood work. You can say to me when TRUCKS and TRAILERS will be available, please
ReplyDeleteWhat happened to people which were not lazy to find out informations? In addition, so simple informations?
ReplyDeleterondomedia.de, amazon.de, excalibur-publishing.co.uk, they all say June 17. Some other says "half of June", which is the same.
