Cruising Texas Event

We invite you to join us on Tuesday, the 15th of November, as we celebrate the release of our new Texas DLC, by taking part in our World Of Trucks event - Cruising Texas! Traveling through the diverse landscape of the Lone Star state, you will pass by swamps and woods, plains and hills, desert and mountains, while discovering Texas' rich economy.

We are asking our #BestCommunityEver to achieve the community goal of driving 125,000,000 miles (201,168,000 km) while delivering cargoes to or from any city in Texas.

They say everything is bigger in Texas and sure enough, due to its size and geologic features, Texas will offer you diverse stretching landscapes like never before. The state also boasts many of America’s biggest and fastest-growing cities, from the expansive metropolis of the Dallas-Fort Worth region to the alluring urban landscape of the Houston area. While you are #CruisingTexas, also nicknamed the Lone Star State, you'll be introduced to the major historic industries that helped shape Texas such as cotton, timber and oil. Besides these, Texas further came to dominate the cattle industry which created the traditional image of the Texas ranches and cowboys. Other important economy components that you will encounter are the glass plants and wind power industry.

During your travels through Texas, you can look forward to many spectacular views of the second biggest state of America, such as the following, to name but a few:

  • Corpus Christi, beautiful coastal city in South Texas
  • El Capitan, 10th highest peak in Texas and part of the Guadalupe Mountains
  • El Paso, the "Sun City" in West Texas with a range of cultural and historical sites
  • Space rocket facility, space rocket launch site near Brownsville

As with past cruising events, you can use your own trailer and experience all this in the external market!

Texas DLC offers 29 amazing new cities to explore, and we’ve a special reward for completing your personal goal, which will require you to deliver a job to or from at least 15 of them. All jobs for the event need to be 100 miles each (161 km) or more.

Get ready for the biggest DLC to American Truck Simulator and set out on a trip over high mountains and deep river ravines, while discovering a wide variety of farms, ranches and industries. Buckle up for an adventurous ride through the amazing Lone Star state of Texas!

Using External Contracts or External Market, with a World of Trucks-connected profile in American Truck Simulator, the community goal is to drive 125,000,000 miles (201,168,000 km) while delivering cargoes to or from any city in Texas.

When a player completes a delivery to or from 15 different Texas cities, they will achieve their personal goal

You can check if your recent deliveries met these conditions using your Log Book in your World of Trucks profile.

Personal: Players that deliver cargo to or from 15 of the 29 Texas cities will gain a personal World of Trucks Achievement and a beautiful Horned Lizard themed ATS truck paint job Steam inventory item.

Community: When the community goal of driving 125,000,000 miles (201,168,000 km) during deliveries to or from any city in Texas is met, and if the player has also achieved their personal goal, then they will receive a hanging Lone Star Longhorn ornament Steam inventory item.
The event will be concluded on Sunday, the 15th of January, at 23:59 UTC.

We can't wait to hear back from you about your exciting journeys through Texas, with so much to see from east to west! You will pass by coastal swamps and piney woods, rolling plains and rugged hills, up to the desert and mountains of the Big Bend! We are looking forward to seeing all of your photos as you cruise through this incredibly beautiful new map area! So, please share your screenshots and videos with us using the hashtag #CruisingTexas on our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram profiles and we will share our favorite ones (we may even feature some of them in a future blog post!).
