1.48 Update: Germany Rework - Hamburg

After the last blog post about the upcoming phase of Germany Rework, we’ve seen many questions about whether the popular city of Hamburg will be included in this phase as well. Well, wonder no more as we can officially confirm that Hamburg will receive a completely new look in the 1.48 update for Euro Truck Simulator 2!

Founded in the 9th century, Hamburg quickly became a prominent trading hub due to its advantageous position along the Elbe River and its access to the North Sea. Throughout the centuries, Hamburg flourished as a key member of the Hanseatic League, an influential medieval trading alliance. Its success as a trading center led to economic prosperity and cultural development, attracting merchants and artists from around the world. Today, Hamburg remains a vital economic powerhouse, boasting one of Europe's busiest ports and a thriving maritime industry.

Having paid extra detail to the local port, after rebuilding Hamburg from the ground up, this bustling port city will captivate with its grandeur and magnificence, offering not only an expanded size with an addition of Maschener Kreuz but also a delightful passage over the Köhlbrand Bridge. While our focus primarily lay in embracing the city’s essence, the city has unveiled many new surprises when it comes to landmarks, such as the presence of towers near gas stations, where our dedicated team made pit stops during our small research expedition.

Hamburg concludes the list of German cities that will receive a new look in the upcoming 1.48 update. We are however excited for what the future might bring so remember to keep your eyes on the blog in the future or follow us on social media (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) to stay in touch with any latest announcements.

Oklahoma - New Cargoes to Haul

As you may already be aware, each new DLC for American Truck Simulator not only expands the in-game world but also introduces a range of exciting additions to the game. Among these additions are new cargoes that you can transport to and from the newly added state. With the Oklahoma DLC, you'll have numerous exciting opportunities to explore and work for a variety of new industries for which our teams have also designed a few new and fitting cargoes. While these are coming to the in-game economy with one of the future updates, we believe you'll enjoy them the best with the new expansion.

Air Conditioning Units

Quality and clean air are fundamental prerequisites for life on Earth. However, supplying it in enclosed spaces can sometimes be complex, especially when it comes to maintaining the ideal temperature. That's why air conditioning and ventilation units are installed in buildings. These technological building components are also crucial in the production of many products and the new cargo provides the opportunity to deliver newly manufactured units to warehouses or directly to construction sites, as well as transport older units for repairs.

Electrical Transformer

In Montana DLC, we have introduced new depots for managing electrical systems, including a service center and transformer stations. An integral part of the distribution process to factories and households are Electrical Transformers, which we present as a new visible cargo. These transformers are produced in a specialized factory and distributed to warehouses and various locations across the map. At first glance, they may appear as simple green boxes, but in today's world, electricity is a major driving force that is indispensable everywhere.

School Bus

Yellow school buses are iconic symbols of the USA, and they are a must-have in ATS. While they have been present in the game’s traffic for some time, with the Oklahoma DLC, we are introducing completely revamped and better quality models. But that's not all. In the upcoming map expansion, you will also get a glimpse into the places where these school buses are manufactured. You will deliver components for assembly and transport new school buses from there to customers. It's a beautiful cargo that poses a challenge to experienced truck drivers due to its dimensions and weight. Just as these buses transport children to school, your task is to ensure the safe delivery of the bus to its final destination.

School Bus – Hood on Pallet

In modern automobile manufacturing, vehicles are often assembled from pre-delivered components from various plants, and our bus factory is no exception. Therefore, you will take charge of delivering bus hoods. Transport them directly to the production line, where workers can easily mount them on new buses. Sometimes, you may also need to transport hoods to service centers, as various situations during bus operations may require their replacement.

Tires – Agriculture

To ensure that agricultural machinery perform well in the fields, high-quality tires with excellent tread patterns are essential. Our tire factories precisely manufacture such tires. Your task is to deliver these tires to warehouses, stores, and directly to farmers, ensuring the smooth operation of their machinery.

Tires – Construction

Just like agricultural machinery, construction equipment also require high-quality tires. They operate on different surfaces, which necessitates specific tread patterns on the tires. These patterns are designed to provide optimal surface contact and tire durability under demanding construction conditions. Whether you deliver them directly to the machines or to dealerships near construction sites, keep in mind that customers are eagerly waiting for them so they can work safely.

Articulating Boom Lift

The Articulating Boom Lift is an excellent aid for working at heights inside buildings or in areas with limited maneuvering space. Whether customers need to perform maintenance inside warehouses or mount parts on bulky machinery, these platforms prove to be invaluable. The platform is securely attached to the trailer, but be careful not to cause any damage. This cargo holds significant value.

Telescopic Boom Lift

For outdoor work at greater heights, the Telescopic Boom Lift is a perfect choice. Our version is equipped with off-road tires, allowing it to operate in construction environments or for outdoor assembly work. The machine's long telescopic arm can reach impressive heights, and its sturdy base ensures stability even in challenging weather conditions. This cargo is also highly valuable and must be safely transported to construction sites and factories.

Yard Truck

Yard Trucks are ideal for locations where frequent handling of trailers or short-distance internal transportation is common. With their exceptional maneuverability, excellent visibility in all directions, and easy trailer attachment, they are a superior choice for these operations compared to regular tractors. Our maps feature a multitude of places where Yard Trucks will find a practical application. And now, you have the opportunity to deliver them to these locations. This new version of the Yard Truck has undergone some modernization, and you can witness the gradual transformation of Yard Trucks into this upgraded model on the map.

We hope you are looking forward to all of these cargoes coming to the game with Oklahoma DLC, but perhaps there is one that stands out for you personally the most? Let us know which one in the comments under the blog or tag us on social media (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) and if you haven’t done so yet, make sure to follow our profiles as well. There is some exciting news about the map expansion on the horizon, so keep an eye out for any updates!

American Truck Simulator 1.48 Update - Texas New Content

They say everything is bigger in Texas, including the updates! In our upcoming 1.48 update for American Truck Simulator, our talented team has revisited the state to bring an update that fits the boot; including roads, landmarks, depots, and more. Let's dive into what our team has been working on.

We've been busy upgrading the road network! The equivalent of 500 real miles have been added over 8 different roads, interstates, and highways; including one of the most well-known interchanges in Texas. Nicknamed the 'High Five', it is one of the first five-level stacks interchanges to be built in Dallas. Its distinctive design features two high-level flyover ramps crossing over the lower-level lanes, creating a "high-five" configuration, to help ease traffic in the area.

Keeping on the topic of five, drivers will be able to drive through five new settlements. These new areas are Greenville, Shamrock, Sherman, De Kalb, and Paris; oui, it's true! We hope you enjoy passing through these charming settlements which have lots of little details to look out for.

Another big addition to this update is the addition of Texarkana; a unique city that straddles the border between Texas and Arkansas, with the state line running through the center of the city. Drivers will find plenty of jobs in the area, thanks to its strategic location of being between several major highways.

Every project has a foundation, including our newest depot in American Truck Simulator; a construction pit. Here you'll find the job site actively working hard to build from the ground up, quite literally!

Along with all of the above, you'll also find plenty of new Landmarks, rest areas, truck stops, hidden roads, and more. We can't wait for you to explore it for yourselves in the near future. We are happy to share that this update will be free for all owners of the Texas DLC.

We hope you enjoy this preview of what is in store for Texas and 1.48 in the American Truck Simulator. We look forward to sharing more with you in the near future. Until then, stay safe and keep on truckin'!

West Balkans - Construction Sites & Material Stores

The West Balkans region is experiencing a construction boom, with ambitious projects reshaping its urban landscapes. From revitalizing historic sites to constructing modern infrastructure, the region is embracing construction as a driver of economic growth.

With each building rising skyward, there is an ever-growing demand for more materials, tools and equipment to support these projects, and that's where you come in!

In our upcoming West Balkans DLC for Euro Truck Simulator 2, you'll find new construction site depots across a few different cities. From various buildings to wind farms, there'll be no shortage of jobs for truckers in this part of the world.

Just as important as the active construction sites themselves are the depots which provide the necessary equipment and materials needed for the job. Players will be able to pick up loads from material store depots, such as warehouses and shops with the necessary cargo needed for the receiver.

Our asset team has also been hard at work constructing and creating new assets for these depots, to really bring them to life. We hope you enjoy the work and detail that has been put into this booming industry in the West Balkans.

Fancy reading up on some the newest infrastructure to be completed in the West Balkans? Why not check out our recent blog on Bridges, which contains the recently constructed Pelješac Bridge. While we're still hard at work completing this upcoming DLC, you can also help out by adding the West Balkans DLC to your Steam Wishlist. It really helps support our projects, so thank you if you already have. We'll see you on the roads until next time!
