With over 300,000 attendees, GamesCom is the biggest game expo in the world. During our 2-day stay at the event, we spent a total of 90 minutes in the public area of the event. The reason?
This is a shot of the "Boulevard" mega-corridor connecting the halls. It's not even a weekend day when more people are free to come, and it's not the peak time of the day. Many of these visitors came to see just their favorite game, and after waiting 3-5 hours in a line, they may be lucky to get a 5 minute glimpse of it.
None of our games was to be seen in the public halls, as our visit centered on business negotiations with our existing and prospective publishing and distribution partners, and exploring business opportunities. Thousands of games industry executives, mixed with official press people, have halls 4 and 5 set aside for negotiations and meetings, secluded from the public halls.
So far, only business visitors passing by the stand of rondomedia, our German publisher, could see the video below. Created in a rush in under a day, the movie was only supposed to run in the background of a distributor's private booth in the business area at GamesCom. We have not intended originally for it to be exposed to public scrutiny, we thought that the movie was too unpolished, but eventually we changed our mind after some people commented on this movie quite positively. What do you think?

ReplyDeleteVery nice!!
ReplyDeleteImpatient waiting the DLC!!
Good luck boys!!
to be honest it just appears to be just more of the same and unless the other cites and roads will also be upgraded to the appearance of the new cities and roads with more than just a tiny segment of the cites i see no point in buying this sorry
ReplyDeleteGood job, but We want the DLC in south of Europe.
ReplyDeleteSPAIN IN THE GAME!
Ulan sımos şurada güzel bir paylaşım yapılmış neden ipnelik yapıyorsun Bastard dog
ReplyDeleteif you look at curent map coverage from realistic point of view, it pretty much covers most of the now industrially efficient Europe at the moment, and by that, ETS2 deafult map is more than you need from simulation and stop complaining about that and support further game development and all those people behind it
ReplyDeleteBest! (Y)
ReplyDeletewhen will the relese date be for australia
ReplyDeleteRob, same day as the world release, if you do like I do and download it direct from SCS.
Deletegood job this is when the output of dlc
ReplyDeletegood work out when the dlc
ReplyDeleteGreat job SCS crew, I'm looking forward to Sept 20.
ReplyDeleteNot a good idea to release this for like 10$ ? is there any new trucks too new features? otherwise TSM > Going East DLC...anyway cant wait for the new FH 16 2013!
ReplyDeletePlease purchase trailers. when will the patch with low roofs of cabins?
ReplyDeleteThe video is good. But why everything is ghostly. Cities are empty, the mine is currently empty. There are no people anywhere. All the halls and truck shops have the same color. Investment in these more. The game is otherwise good but too deserted. Cities and everything is dead. Berlin, Paris, Warsaw, etc. have a million cities. Where are all the people?
ReplyDeleteThis is my opinion on
ETS2 DLC and new multiplayer is a fantastic move in the right direction. Any ideas when to expect these?
ReplyDeletealso is World of Trucks a planned name change allowing the map to become world wide or is this a planned game for the future?
There is no online mode coming to ETS2
DeleteWe look forward to this extension and hope to receive it, and the next extension of the Baltic states. It is desired to believe that the final version will be ETS2 in all European countries with a minimum of 500 cities in 40 countries. For such a map will be happy to pay off a 30 euros.
ReplyDeleteAustralia would be good too :)
ReplyDeleteI love the game the realism of everything...is Brilliant...
I know this is a bit off topic but I would love to be able to drive cars, buses, vans (delivery vans LOL!!!) in this awesome game... so leave the game as is as in scenery countries etc..and just let cars and different vehicles be drivable...would love that...and maybe a car yard where you can buy and sell them ... just a thought :) I would love that but this is just my opinion :)
definitely need more people in the game...everything else it awesome... this game for me is number 1....keep up the great work guys...and thank you for making such an awesome and realistic game...love it :)
Add lithuania, its near at poland, and its small country, only 3 citys Kaunas, Vilnius, Klaipeda.
ReplyDelete+++
DeleteNice new cities...But would rather have new trucks and trailers and more interaction, see the general wear and tear of the trucks and maybe see more interaction in depos when ure loading and unloading trailers, see forklifts and cranes moving about...Suppose iam just dreaming, lol :-)
ReplyDeleteHello!! To everything. The game is excellent. He is, without any doubt, the best simulator of the trucks of the world. But for my incomplete one this one. If they remember in 18 wheels of steel haulin, there was possibility of buying trucks and semitows. This is a suggestion that he was giving to the principal animated realism, the possibility of buying semitows and of being capable of transporting goods with them. Another thing that I want to say to them is that I, I announce the game between all the Spanish young persons, and they say everything what the game would be better if they were adding Spain and Portugal. For it These are my suggestions: to have the possibility of buying semitows and of transport with them. To have in the map Spain and Portugal.
ReplyDeleteMusic is too heavy...
ReplyDeletehiç yenilik yok yollarda bu dlc para verilmez
ReplyDeleteGreat job ahead SCS
ReplyDeleteIt would be nice to have, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Macedonia, Greece and many other countries.
Thank you SCS
Ukraine,Rep.Moldova...
DeleteMACEDONIA IS GREEK .............MACEDONIA IS GREEK
DeleteYes Ukraine & all world countries....
DeleteYou're are still not telling us about patch 1.4.12...
ReplyDeleteWhat the hell has happened to you SCS, before the release of ETS2 you were very consistant with showing new stuff, updating us on progress, but it looks like you just dont care anymore...
They can post codes which they updated and such but won't understand.
ReplyDeleteThey are busy tweaking, that is not visual
it is a nice video keep is up scs
ReplyDeleteI think that video is a little too long, but otherwise great work SCS! :)
ReplyDeleteYou should have talked to Bernd Lehan from Egosoft. They're making X: Rebirth, a space sim, where you can walk in those space stations. That creates the same problem of many places looking exactly the same. Faced with the same basic problem you could have brainstormed different ideas.
ReplyDeleteDon't shut up but take my money!
ReplyDeleteCan we buy the dlc through Steam ?
ReplyDeleteYes, first of all in the Steam!
DeleteYou could create from the main menu: Create your own area.
ReplyDeleteThere's even the youngest player could create their own world!
Because the Map Editor not everyone knows: (
That would be a good thing! // by Translator Google
There are reasons why editor is non-official part of game, think about it for a minute or two. And players knows there are numerous maps for various SCS's game, that means there is a way how to create them. So - who really wants to make a map will surely find the way.
DeleteGreat job, can`t wait to driver there! :)
ReplyDeleteEspecially the water is really amazing!
The "vehicles" in the mine should be replaced by good loocking models I think ;)
By the way:
Will we get the original IVECO- sound or is there something wrong with the Recordings?
Also wish more and better AI! (but as you stated some time ago, you`re working on it?!) and original MAN- Sound, which was even the first licenced truck but one of the last without original sound, that`s bad!
But I really love your game, play it every day!
Greetz
good job SCS, when the game will have double trailer?
ReplyDeleteIt will never have double trailer. There were pictures of doubles from pre-release screenshots showing SCS had them in game at one stage but decided against them.
DeleteNumerous people have asked for them, yet still no doubles so it's obvious they aren't coming.
Great video !
ReplyDeleteI like sCS software games. I like drinving to east (instead I'M linving in France). ETS 2 is my favourite game and i have still roads to discover.
I like the new patch 1.4 especially, I see that you've added bus stops. And when I see in your nex video that you have added great bus stations, i'm very happy, because wou'll probably sale your Coach SIm as DLC for ETS2.
I allways liked the coaches. I'm drinving truck because there is no great coach Sim. But now , I like truck with trailers. Perhaps you'll create an articulated coach (I know, they are very rare ; for example, my favourite is the Neoplan JumboCruiser from Best Tours). Driving an articulated coach is a great and interesting challenge, near from driving a truck with trailer.
I like the great job you have allready done. My only suggestion would be an active point of view (inside cabin camera) : when steering left, the head turn smoothly to left (some car games have this feature). it's more comfortable as turning the POV only with the mouse. It could be combined with a little head shake whne driving. To understand what I mean, see a video "Active camera FS 2004, inside view : the head is moving when breaking, accelerating, when road isnt smooth there's a bump movement...
Thank you for your great job !!!
I can't wait for the coach sim too! However, I hope it will be a standalone game where we have to make several stops in one tour, instead of only driving from one city to another, like in ETS2.
DeleteI think it will be a hard work to make a full new game. Develloping new maps is something wich use full time ; see how many years the team used to make ETS2. Perhaps in the long future you'll have a stand alone game, but first, it's necessary to create a "community". Coach games don't interest Electronic Arts for exemple...
DeleteAnd the bus stops and bus station were not put into the ETS 2 map to be unused...
But they don't need to make a new map, they can use the same map for a new game, with maybe a few tweaks.
Deleteok, I see what you mean !
DeleteI would just add something :
Driving a coach means many possibilities : long distance beetween cities (like ETS 2) and short distance. for this , it would be perhaps interesting to add one huge city (for me the Scania Truck dring simulator is such a city).
And it would be cool to add this (fictionnal?) city into the ETS2 Map.
It would be also geat for truck driving : it could vbe possible to add in the future short deliveries with shorter trucks without trailers (i dob't know the english word, such truck are greater than a van).
The work already done for ETS2 is really fantastic. I,'ve gereat pleasure with it and this is a great basis for doing something bigger ! but patience, a day has only 24 hours and SCS peopla have also a human life !!! lol.
Next stop...a multiplayer patch?
ReplyDeleteGreat video. when will be out the DLC
ReplyDeleteAwseome Video
ReplyDeletespain, portugal and the rest of france and italy
ReplyDeleteHello. Great job, SCS !
ReplyDeleteBut when you add Romania, multiplayer patch and seasons in the game ?
Thank you SCS.
Hey SCS, this looks nice. I can't wait to spend several euros and add some new areas to my favourite game. :o)
ReplyDeleteExcellent video, can't wait for it's release.
ReplyDeleteGood work SCS.
Reece.
nice done SCS ;)
ReplyDeleteWhens the multiplayer coming out??
ReplyDeleteسمووحخ ̷̴̐ خ ̷̴̐ خ ̷̴̐ خ امارتيخ ̷̴̐ خ
ReplyDeleteAs a result, Flash online Games can be loaded from the server very quickly and then do not have to communicate with it further.
ReplyDeleteVery nice trailer. Looking forward purchasing the DLC as soon as it's available.
ReplyDeleteI honestly hope your sales figures will be decent so you can make future ETS 2 content.
Canadian truck driver,
Zulnex
+1
DeleteI don't know if lot of people can imagine all the work that this represent !
... Like 3 extra countries? Add more like Serbia, Romania & Bulgaria.... :(
ReplyDeleteHave you ever thought about the idea of putting the ETS 2 to run on xbox 360? As was done for the Farm Simulator? I would support. Think of the idea.
