West Balkans - Road Network

I think we can all agree that roads are pretty important to drivers, no matter where you're going (unless it's back to the future). In our upcoming West Balkans DLC for Euro Truck Simulator 2, we've paid particular attention to the road networks in the 8 countries included in this expansion.

Players can look forward to an array of various road networks including new modern highways, some of which have recently opened, or are planned to be in use in the near future. These highways are generally the fastest route to your destination, and in some places offer some unique views for drivers. One such example can be found on the coast of Croatia, where the highway (and surrounding junctions) boldly passes right through the middle of a mountainous area.

Outside of Highways, there is also the network of smaller roads that serve smaller communities, towns and villages all across the West Balkans. These range from roads at sea level all the way up to the mountains; and are a little bit more rugged than the new highways.

We've also included a few roads that lead right through the some of the larger cities, as opposed to driving around the centre where larger trucks are usually prohibited. Be careful though, some of the roads around the city may not be suited for larger vehicles. Players can also look forward to detailed road signage, if you prefer to navigate the old school way, across all countries!

There will also be plenty of bridges, roundabouts, tunnels and level crossings which we will showcase once they are a little bit more polished. Until then, we hope these work in progress shots get you excited to get trucking in new territories. If you like what you see, be sure to add the West Balkans DLC to your Steam Wishlist; Until next time, happy trucking!
