Louisiana DLC Release

The wait is finally over, and we’re mighty proud to welcome y’all to the Pelican State! The Louisiana DLC for American Truck Simulator drops today, and it’s time to roll where bayous, historic towns, and humid southern air awaits.

It’s been an exciting journey since we first announced that Louisiana was in development, and today we’re excited to release it to you, our #BestCommunityEver. With its legendary bayous, historic cities, unique industries, and a wide variety of hauling opportunities, there’s plenty to look forward to behind the wheel. Make the most of your visit to the Pelican State and enjoy every moment as you:

• Explore 11 cities including New Orleans, Baton Rouge and Shreveport.
• See several landmarks such as the Baton Rouge Capitol, the Superdome in New Orleans, and the Gothic Jail in DeRidder.
• Truck through 11 scenic towns (settlements) like Abbeville, Bastrop, or Mansfield.
• Visit Avery Island featuring a famous hot chilli sauce factory.
• Venture into the Bayou region, a defining part of this southern state's identity.
• Drive across the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway or the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge.
• Discover and admire colonial architecture in cities such as New Orleans, Houma, and Lafayette.
• Immerse yourself in history along the banks of the Mississippi River and explore plantation complexes such as Oak Alley, Laura, and San Francisco.
• Deliver to unique industries such as LNG terminals and oil services.
• Visit several new custom depots in the form of timber harvest sites, river ports, and shipyards!

Louisiana has a diverse variety of industries ranging from agricultural production, fishing, and forestry to petroleum, gas, and coal. Thanks to this, drivers can haul plenty of different cargo types in and out of the Pelican State. We cannot overstate the importance of waterways in this state, especially its canal system and the crucial role its ports play, such as the port of New Orleans, which ranks among the busiest in the country in terms of volume of seaborne freight handled, so there is plenty of cargo to transport for everyone!

Cruising Louisiana World of Trucks Event

With the release of the DLC, we’re also kicking off a brand new World of Trucks event: Cruising Louisiana, which begins right at the moment of launch.

This event invites you to explore the new map, deliver cargoes to and from its many cities, and contribute to a community goal while earning special in-game rewards.

Rewards

• Personal: Players that deliver cargo to or from 10 Louisiana cities will gain a personal World of Trucks Achievement and a Southern Wings ATS truck paint job Steam inventory item.

• Community: When the community goal of driving 125,000,000 miles is reached — and the player has completed their personal goal — they will receive a Golden South hanging ornament Steam inventory item.

And there’s an extra treat as well! Truckers who complete a job using External Contracts or the External Market TO or FROM Baton Rouge will be rewarded with the Boudreaux the Bear cabin plush Steam inventory item. Fluffy and filled with Louisiana bayou charm, this lovable bear is the perfect companion for your journeys across the new expansion!

Louisiana Release Stream
