Here's a crazy idea: How about more updates on what you're working on .. like you know .. the linux port?.
Because yeah I get butthurt when I see yet another review saying how awesome this game is while I still don't have a clue of when I'll be able to play it.
You are rigth. Waiting for the linux port. Not gonna install windows just to be able to play it. Don't want to use wine, there is some kind of conflict between wine and my graphics drivers. And considering linux users are over 2% on steam I think they should hurry up a little.
Why would I want to install windows? os preferences aside (to each his own) they said they are porting it to linux, they even showed images of it running in ubuntu.
That was almost two months ago though.
I don't think a status update on the port is too much to ask for.
I dont give a f... what people thinks of windows.. Allways bad excuses for less talented computer users, who think they know it all. With two simple programs, windows 7 runs like a charm and never needs to be reinstalled. But I dont need to tell you "I-know-it all" do I? Buy an iCrap instead.. They are idiotproof!
Oh johnny, what have you done? Its a very bad idea to accuse the most talented communities out there to not knowing things what Johnni9999 knows. First of: iWhatever is not Linux, its Apple. This is the basic knowlege you need that people dont laugh at you. These a two very different things. They have nothing in common. Second: Using Linux a a targeted conscious decision. There are very good reasons for it. But you windows expert know it better, do you? ;) Third: Nobody is interessted in what Johnni9999 uses and how much cleverness lacks him. Use windows or whatever. Linux people want the Linux version SCS has promised very long time ago.
I think SCS shoud be proud of itself. For year's they made truck games. But now with ets 2 they nailed it. The best simulator game I ever seen.
Here we say no news is good news. I'm convinced they are working on update's/dlc's. And when they have somthing to say about it they will say it. What's the point of a newsflash every day that say's oh we did another mile in the new map? That's just a waste of time. Time they can use to improve the game. So I just wait until they have to say something and I read it.
SCANIA AdBlue Emulator, Trucks and other heavy vehicles
http://www.scannerobd2.com/goods.php?id=5424
AdBlue Emulator Box designed to disable AdBlue system used in trucks, buses and other heavy vehicles with EURO 4/5 exhaust emission rates AdBlue Emulator Box bypasses electronic module of the Adblue system on vehicle.
Its very easy to fit AdBlue Emulator Box to any truck or bus equipped with AdBlue system and it will override AdBlue system instantly, it will stop the usage of AdBlue liquid. AdBlue Emulator Box disables AdBlue system electronics gently so there will be no power loss of the engine or any warnings on the dashboard and in diagnostic system.
This device works without interfering to work of other electronic systems of the vehicle. AdBlue Emulator Box has a wide range of supported vehicle models and there is only one version of emulator for all supported trucks, just upload the necessary program to the AdBlue Emulator Box and you can install it on any supported truck.
Most of us here can agree on the fact that ETS2 is great, even amazing! I, for one, LOVE it! But could you please update us on the development part of your game(s) ?
The last post in which we've learned something about your W.I.P. was a month ago... Tell us about things that we could be looking foward to / hoping for.... PLEASE !!!
well lets hope scs take the comments from those reviewers on board.... and get on with some dlc soon..... i mean come on 4 months later and still nothing new!!!
SCS you made a great game and it's great to see the recognition and good review, especially from the English-speaking world outside of Europe! I sure enjoy playing it.
But like many people here, I'm hoping to hear some news on more updates, such as the map expansion... the only thing that's wrong with this game is that the map is incomplete. Everything else is great! The map needs to have a complete France and Italy above all else, and would also greatly benefit from a Scandinavian expansion, as well as Spain, Portugal and Ireland. A Scandinavian expansion would probably sell the most copies, many more than the Eastern European expansion you have planned. In fact, I would probably only buy the the eastern one at the same time as a Western or Northern European expansion... need to know that the map will indeed be going in those directions!
This can only be good news to have such a good review from the other side of the pond and I must admit I was drewling when I saw the pics of the Petetbilt and KW. It would be nice to own either one of those trucks in this game. The fun factor is definitely there and when they mentioned submaps with more detailed cities to carry out local drayage I thought that was a spot on idea. The game is starting to get a little bit boring for me now as I have done almost everything so please a new DLC would put the fun factor back into the game for this Canadian Road King.
Don't expect to see North American-style trucks in the game, it would be unrealistic in Europe. The reason all the trucks are flat-nose cabs here is because the European Union has strict regulations on vehicle lengths, which would be violated with the North American cabs. For the same reason, this is also why there are no double trailers in the game and why there should not be in the future. I also saw in the video how they wondered why they couldn't go over 55 mph... that's also an EU regulation; trucks are limited by law to 90 km/h (56 mph).

Actually there are double trailers in Europe, and if they don't want to add doubles, they should add drawbar trucks and trailers.
It's strange that you link these review videos all the time.
They should target people who do not already know of the game. Showing it here just annoys a lot of people who doesn't want to see them but would like to see news of updates instead.

DeleteHAHAHAHHA! God damn hahahaha! YOU MADE MY DAY! WINDOWS! MUAHAHAHA!
They announced a linux port. They got greenlight votes for linux. But there is no linux port. Well, you can call this cheating.

Actually if you looked Scania have been building and selling trucks with the nose/engine out the front around Europe for quite a few years .
DeleteThey have just not sold in large enough numbers to make it worth while for other manufacturers to follow suit .
