SCS On The Road: Poznan Game Arena 2025 Vlog

After another exciting year of travel, events, and unforgettable encounters, we’re happy to bring you a fresh episode of SCS On The Road - this time from PGA 2025, the Poznań Game Arena! Our team spent three amazing days in Poland’s largest gaming expo, and we’re thrilled to look back at everything we experienced together with you.

For this trip, Petr, Beny, and Oscar set off from Sweden, catching a flight to Berlin. From there, the trio hopped into a car and made the road trip to Poznań, where they joined the rest of our crew. With the whole team reunited, preparations for the event could begin in full swing.

This year, our booth was buzzing from the very first minute. Thanks to our amazing partners, we were able to bring a full lineup of gear and content for fans to enjoy:

• Thrustmaster provided high-quality gaming stations equipped with T248 wheels and SimTask Kit setups.
• Our two 4D Motion Simulators ran exclusive previews: one showcasing Nordic Horizons and the other Louisiana.
• Visitors could also try a work-in-progress PlayStation version of our games, running on a special PS5 test kit courtesy of PlayStation CZ.

And as a massive highlight, we had the privilege of displaying a stunning Scania Super, made possible by our friends at Scania Polska. It quickly became one of the most photographed spots at the expo!

Throughout the weekend, our booth was visited by many wonderful guests. We had the honor of welcoming:

• Iwona Blecharczyk (Trucking Girl) – professional truck driver and influencer
• Wujek Bohun – streamer and long-time supporter
• Janusz0821 – streamer and community member

We had great conversations, plenty of laughs, and some memorable drives in our demos. We also thank all of you who stopped by to chat, to check out our booth, or to simply test out Nordic Horizons, Louisiana, or our WIP PlayStation build of ETS2 and ATS.

During our time on stage, we hosted interviews and held a special presentation about SCS Software, the current state of development, and, most excitingly, two brand-new map expansion announcements:

• Isle of Ireland for Euro Truck Simulator 2
• British Columbia for American Truck Simulator

At the end of the presentation, we also had a surprise for one lucky fan. Thanks to Thrustmaster, we were able to gift a T248 wheel to the most dedicated player in the hall - a community member with an incredible 3000+ hours of playtime!

Poznan Game Arena 2025

From 24th to 26th October, we're heading to Poland to join the Poznań Game Arena! We can't wait to meet our #BestCommunityEver in person. We'll be taking part in a special panel, giving a short speech on the main stage, where we'll be sharing some exciting insights, and giving our fans the chance to try exclusive demos of the upcoming Nordic Horizons and Louisiana DLCs!

At this year's Poznań Game Arena, you will be able to find our booth in pavilion 5, stand 55. There, we will feature two of our 4D motion simulators and six additional gaming stations, all powered by Thrustmaster. Our fans will have an exclusive opportunity to play special demo versions of our upcoming Louisiana and Nordic Horizons DLCs there, experiencing these highly anticipated map expansions hands-on. 

A huge thank-you to Thrustmaster for partnering with us and making this immersive setup possible. Our stations will be equipped with their quality sim-driving gear, including the T248 steering wheel and the SimTask steering kit, giving everyone a taste of just how great it feels to play our games with this setup.

On top of that, thanks to the kind cooperation with Scania Poland, we'll also have a real truck on display at our booth, a Scania 460R, giving visitors a unique look at one of the vehicles that inspire our games.

We're also excited to join forces with some very popular Polish influencers. Iwona Blecharczyk, a real truck driver, Wujek Bohun, and Janusz0821 will be visiting our booth for a meet-and-greet session on Saturday, giving fans the chance to meet them in person, so don't miss out!

If you are interested in hearing some interesting developer insights from our side, we'll be taking part in a special panel called Building Local Communities: From Passion to Presence alongside Bethesda and Warhorse on Friday, discussing how to build a community around your games. This panel is part of the Games Marketing Summit, held during the Game Industry Conference, which runs simultaneously with the PGA in nearby halls. We'll also have a short speech on the main stage of PGA, where fans might even catch a first glimpse of some of our new projects.

Finally, some members of our team will be present at the booth, including Petr, Beny, Nemiro, Bartosz, Annie, Mrazík, Oscar, Davido, and others, who cannot wait to meet with you!

Recently, we had the exciting opportunity to be a part of the Find Your Next Game online showcase, a digital event that runs alongside Gamescom which highlights upcoming titles and projects across the gaming industry. We imagine some of you may have caught our special feature there, but just in case you didn't, let us share with you more about it! 

This year, we are proud to have our upcoming Nordic Horizons DLC for Euro Truck Simulator 2 selected to be part of this year’s FYNG lineup! One of the conditions on being part of this digital showcase is that all featured video content has to be exclusive to the show and not seen before on any other platforms. So, our talented video team got to work and created a fresh, extended trailer made especially for this showcase, offering viewers a glimpse of the stunning roads, cities, towns, landscapes, landmarks, and industries that await you in this upcoming expansion.

Gamescom & Future Games Show & Find Your Next Game

We hope you're all enjoying the summer roads, whether you’re cruising through Euro Truck Simulator 2 or exploring the great American highways in American Truck Simulator. August is already in full swing, and with so many exciting things happening behind the scenes, we wanted to take a moment to share what’s coming up for SCS Software this month. Spoiler alert: it’s shaping up to be a big one!

Gamescom

This August, we’ll be attending Gamescom in Cologne, Germany - one of the biggest events in the gaming calendar! We’re proud to be representing the Czech Republic as part of the Czech National Booth in the B2B (Business-to-Business) segment.

Our mission? Meet, network, and explore new partnerships with a wide variety of companies. We're thrilled to have meetings lined up with representatives from major platforms, including Sony, Microsoft, and many more, across both the gaming and automotive industries. We're excited about the future and are actively working on ways to expand our presence and content offerings for both of our flagship titles. And while our presence at Gamescom is focused on the B2B segment this year, there's always a chance we’ll run into some of you. If you spot someone from the SCS team, don’t hesitate to say hi!

Future Games Show

Make sure to keep one eye open for the upcoming Future Games Show this August, because we’ve got something special in the works! A brand-new exclusive teaser video will be making its debut there, and we can’t wait for you to see it.

Find Your Next Game

Also on your watchlist this August should be the Find Your Next Game show, which runs alongside Gamescom, where we’ll also be dropping something cool and exclusive, this time related to the Nordic Horizons DLC. We’re incredibly proud of what’s coming and are thrilled to be part of this show’s lineup.

We’re working hard to bring fresh new content and experiences to both Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator. The journey is far from over, and exciting things are still to come! We asked you to get creative and get snapping with THE BOSS Edition paint job for the Renault Range Truck in Euro Truck Simulator 2, and disappoint you did not! 

With 4 cool scaled models up for grabs from our friends over at Renault Trucks, you flooded both our and Renault Trucks' social media channels with photos of THE BOSS Edition paint job in action. From pulling heavy loads to taking a leisurely cruise down a country lane, you showed off your new paint job in style; just take a look at the amount of hype you generated on social media! 

With over 2500 submissions made using the hashtag #ImTheBoss across our social media profiles (Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook combined), it would be extremely hard to pick just 4 winners, as from what we've seen so far, pretty much all of the entries are amazing! Hence, we've decided to pick the 4 lucky winners randomly (as it was also pre-announced in the starting blog post) from the list of all by using this special website.

Iberia: Fruit, Crops & Farms

The growing of fresh fruit and vegetables is an important industry for Spain and Portugal, so much so that both countries are among some of the largest producers and exporters in Europe. From oranges to avocados, Iberia provides the ideal growing conditions and space for farms to grow a wide variety of crops, fruits, and vegetables. 

In our upcoming Iberia DLC for Euro Truck Simulator 2, drivers will have the opportunity to transport and deliver a variety of equipment and produce within this important industry sector across Spain and Portugal. 

Iberia will also feature newly created prefabs to represent the wide variety of different farms that can be found in Iberia including large commercial farms and vineyards. However, there is one type of farm that may catch your eye on your travels.

Found largely concentrated in the south-east of Spain, are areas of farmland largely covered by white plastic greenhouses. This type of intensive farming has become increasingly popular across Iberia, as farmers can create ideal growing conditions in otherwise very dry and hot areas of the peninsula to grow vegetables and fruit.

#ImTheBoss Contest

Today we're happy to bring you something new, cool, fun, rewarding, and entertaining together in cooperation with our friends over at Renault Trucks! After a very successful and impressive Trucks World Cup 2020 contest, we've been thinking if we can create something similar and reward our #BestCommunityEver once again!

You might have noticed that a few moments ago, your Steam client started downloading a small update for Euro Truck Simulator 2. And with it comes something special and new; a brand new paint job for the Renault Range T truck - THE BOSS Edition! 

It's beautiful, right? Initially, Renault Trucks planned to use this paint job as a special and exclusive 2020 design for their trucks in the real world, but due to all the difficulties that COVID-19 has brought about, they were unable to make this idea happen. So we have decided together to honour this work of art by adding it for our Euro Truck Simulator 2 community. Consider it a nice gift from Renault Trucks. It's also a small proof that when our fanbase shows some love and attention to a big brand like Renault Trucks on social media, they usually like it a lot! There are real fruits of labour for your passion for our games. It always helps us a lot in communications/negotiations when companies in the automotive industry see the strength of our games' community.

But getting this amazing piece of art for free is not all! Our friends from Renault Trucks are also ready to send 4 cool scaled models to four lucky winners, who will be randomly picked on various social media platforms. Two of these will be picked and announced by our friends over Renault Trucks, and two by us. So we highly recommend following their social media profiles as well as ours. What do you have to do to get a chance to be one of them?

It's super easy. Just get this new paint job, and apply it to your mighty Renault Trucks Range T in ETS2, and take a nice screenshot of it. Then, upload it to at least one of the social media platforms we use (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook) under the #ImTheBoss hashtag, alongside tagging our (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) and Renault Trucks' profiles (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram).

Screenshots can be taken from anywhere in the game you want, it can be with or without a trailer, tuned up or not. There are no limits or requirements, except for those written above. Colorado: Million Dollar Highway

Colorado offers a long list of amazing landmarks for visitors and residents alike to admire and visit, but one specific area of this colorful state attracts drivers from across the world. 

Located in the southwest, the U.S. Highway 550 stretches between New Mexico and Colorado serving as a vital link between the two states. However, there is one portion of this route that is more famous than any other, the “Million Dollar Highway”… with a name like that it’s got to be impressive, right?

Offering views of mountains, valleys and gorges, the Million Dollar Highway is a road like no other. Stretching for around 25 miles (40 km) it has been said that it's one of the nation’s most spectacular drives (and for good reason too).  The highway delivers jaw-dropping vistas and stunning backdrops on its winding and often dangerous road. 

So why is this stretch of road named the Million Dollar Highway? There are several stories including that it cost a million dollars a mile to build it and that its fill dirt contains a million dollars in gold ore; either way, we are sure that this will become a popular route for truckers in our upcoming Colorado DLC for American Truck Simulator.

SCS On The Road 2020

It's time for us to get ready for the SCS On The Road season 2020, and we cannot wait to get travelling again. Each visit to a different location presents the opportunity for us to meet people from our community, as-well as meet with new and existing industry representatives which could lead to potential future collaborations and releases.

We are excited to announce that for 2020, we plan to travel to a variety of industry and gaming exhibitions around the world. You can expect us to be on the show floor, however in some cases it might not be exhibiting with our SCS Sim Trailer or booth, but walking the show floor, so be sure to keep an eye out for us in our trademark ETS2 or ATS T-Shirts!

The first stop on our Calendar takes us to the Mid-America Trucking Show, which we last visited in 2016 (where did the time go?) shortly followed by our first ever trip to Truck World Canada to meet with various industry contacts, but we hope to meet many of you from our community too.

If you are planning to attend any of these events, be sure to let us know! Our team would be more than happy to say hello, have a chat, and take a selfie. You may even receive some ETS2 or ATS swag as a gift. However please keep in mind that some of these events are still being planned, and that changes may be made to our schedule, which will be sure to inform you of on our blog and social media channels.

Last year we also enlisted the help of some of our local fans willing to help us on some of these events. We think it's a great way to connect with a few of our most loyal fans and offer them a very unique (and also paid) experience.

If you would like to become a part of our crew for a weekend, please let us know. Successful candidates must be 18+, native speakers of the region of the given event, have great social skills, knowledgeable players of our games and active members of the fan community, ideally with a history of involvement with our betas, or perhaps recognised creators from the modding community.

A look back at our Gamescom 2019

We are back home after an exciting and exhausting marathon that is Gamescom.

It was our honor and joy to meet so many of our fans in person. Thank you for stopping by! We are proud to have captured the attention of thousands of visitors, with so many people ready to stand for hours in the long queue to give a try to our truck sim motion seat setups. There was a reward there - a chance to be the first to drive through segments of the upcoming American Truck Simulator - Utah and Euro Truck Simulator 2 - Road to the Black Sea map DLC expansions.

Of course, we are well aware that only a small fraction of our games' fan base can make it to any gaming expo. So if you are interested in at least getting an impression of the atmosphere of a major gaming show from our perspective, we have created a short video recap for you. We'd also like to thank all the hardware and equipment manufacturers for their support in making sure that playing our games at Gamescom has been a first-class experience.

Event: Goodyear Roll-Out!

Goodyear is one of the world’s largest tyre companies and well known for its premium brand. For over 120 years Goodyear has pushed the envelope with new innovations in tyres and ‘beyond tyres’ setting the standard in the industry. Building on over 120 years of innovation, Goodyear just launched a full advanced range of on-road truck tyres. With the latest technologies on-board, the new KMAX GEN-2 and FUELMAX GEN-2 tyres deliver enhanced mileage and fuel-efficiency performance, while being able to cope with all kinds of weather conditions.

To celebrate their recently released new truck tyre designs along with a brand facelift that looks great; we are proud to announce that Goodyear tyres will be coming soon to Euro Truck Simulator 2!

However, distributing these new tyres to all of the garages and showrooms across Euro Truck Simulator 2 requires the help of our awesome community in our Goodyear Roll-Out event.

With this event, you will have the opportunity to receive a free activation key for the DLC (even before it is available on the Steam Store), if your own personal goal and the community goal is achieved.

Be advised that the deliveries might be of long-distance, and owning a variety of map DLCs will be a crucial factor in succeeding.

Let’s meet our community delivery goal! The sooner we achieve the goal, the sooner we can bring the Goodyear Tyres Pack DLC to you - available for purchase when the event closes.

The rules of the event

Using external contracts in Euro Truck Simulator 2 on a World of Trucks-connected profile, the community must reach 300,000 deliveries of Goodyear tyres using the provided Goodyear trailer.

To complete your personal goal, you must make 10 or more deliveries of Goodyear tyres using external contracts on a World of Trucks-connected profile on Euro Truck Simulator 2.

One or more of the following map DLCs are required (DLCs are on sale during the first 2 days of the event):

• Vive la France!
• Scandinavia
• Italia
• Beyond the Baltic Sea

Rewards

Personal goal: Individual player contributions of 10 or more deliveries of Goodyear tyres will be rewarded with a World of Trucks Achievement and a hanging Goodyear blimp cabin accessory.

Community goal: Once the community goal of 300,000 deliveries of Goodyear tyres is met, and if the player has also achieved their personal goal then they will receive a Steam code to unlock our new Goodyear Tyres Pack DLC, for free!

Get ready to roll out with Goodyear! We would love to see your photos and videos from the event, so no matter how you are taking part, make sure to share your progress on our Social Media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) with the hashtag #GoodyearRollOut and tagging of our and Goodyear's official profiles.

The Great American Tour

For the first time in many years, two small teams from our office are travelling to the USA to attend events, meet our fans, to get some reference material for the future development of American Truck Simulator and to breathe in the atmosphere of the States in general!

Down south, Carthoo, one of our Community Managers, Raven, one of our Research leads and Saimon, one of the map DLC leads, will be attending the Great American Trucking Show event in Dallas, TX. You can meet them there on the first two days of the event (Aug 22 - 23), but due to problems with certification for our 4D motion seat, you'll find our team roaming the show floor. You can also keep an eye on our social media, where we'll announce where and when you can meet them.

And because lots of you might not make it to GATS, we'll try to find somewhere in Dallas, where we can meet with you, our community, face to face for a chit-chat, discussions about our games and their development. Plus, with some luck, we hope to be able to host another meet-up in a few days later somewhere along the planned road. We'll give you more info before the event.

On the West Coast, Alex (LondonLad), one of our Community Managers and Oscar, our Business Development will both be attending this year’s PAX West event in Seattle, WA. They will be there for all 4 days of the show (Aug 30 – Sep 2), alongside our partner, Thrustmaster, who will be showcasing their product line-up working in tandem with American Truck Simulator. Alex and Oscar will be looking forward to meeting you at Thrustmaster’s stand at the Expo Hall between 10:30am to around 5pm daily.  Make sure you drop by and say hello to them; perhaps you will walk away with a prize or two!

And last but not least, we are exploring the possibility of sending a third team to the USA; stay tuned to learn more.
