Scania Streamline update is ready now


First, we would like to thank all of you who have already sent us Christmas and New Year competition paint jobs. We will keep accepting your new creations up until December 31.

To answer your question, if you feel like creating even more than just one paint job, you can - it will only increase your winning chances!

Scania Streamline is out now via retail patch 1.8.2.3 and Steam's automatic update. So everybody can finally experience the Scania truck bringing back the legendary name. We needed a few more days to tweak this update as some minor truck tuning/princing problems were spotted and fixes were required. Having the game on Steam in beta allowed us to quickly iterate through a few release candidates with a lot of eyes on the builds. Thanks to all who were eager to participate!

Note: The retail patch is currently available to download via torrents and a direct link from our server. We would strongly prefer that you to use the torrent, while we are setting up download mirrors. Using our local link is very likely to be much slower, and also quite stressful for our servers.

    Great job, but where is DAF ? I have pleasure to play patch 1.8.2.3 via steam and I remember that you wrote that AI inteligence has been improved but still when I stay on the road or even on the side of road on emergency lights nobody passes me by ... please do something

    I have 2 question:
    1) Is Scania Streamline included in those 2 trucks that were planned to be released after new FH?
    2) Why wouldn't you make wheels for trucks? I would like original wheels from the developer on my truck rather than mods and tuning wheels.

      but the most i wish sideskirts + exhaust for 6x4 , 6x2 axes (eventually more types of these sideskirts, modded, different shapes..)

      Totally agree with you. Some people are unbelievable when it comes to patches and new trucks etc. Like with steam. Just activate your game like i did and you have betas and everything. I didnt want to use steam but i activated the game and the only difference is access to betas and automatic updates. I also paid 30 Euros for the game.

    Some people are really annoying when they endlessly demand for things...
    SCS you did a great job like always, this is a good looking truck, and the interior is more refined than the R09, as your fan, as a petrolhead, the only thing I can say here is THANK YOU!
    I will always remember that this great team is doing this game with love, the word "love" means a lot, I'm happy being your customer, I hope this small company will have a bright future.

    I have a glitch, the gps told me to go through a service station, not on the highway. The GPS told me go straight through a service station in England and back on to the highway, shouldn't it be still on the highway

      This is a known bug and has been reported on the scs forum.I have experienced the same problem too. What we have to do is wait until scs fixes the bug in a future patch

      I think the GPS just picks the shortest route.

      Besides that, GPS systems aren't perfect IRL either, mine told me to drive trough a hospital once...
      And from time to time it directs me to go trough a field or apartment block or a house...

      My GPS *loves* to send me on country roads barely wide enough for half a car, for some reason, but it never tried to send me through buildings at least :P

    Really? It's out of beta? Usually I'm very supportive of SCS, and generally defend them against some of the assholes up here. But this is a terrible, rushed attempt. It's nothing like the real Streamline. Either do it properly, or don't bother, but this thrown together model is a bit of a joke guys. Its just the same as the old one. The guys on the forum spotted so many errors, and things wrong with it. You fixed none of those. The interior is nothing like the real thing, where are the spoilers? What about the v8 bumper?Rather than listening to people who think you should rush these things out, isn't it a better idea to take your time and do it right? Because personally, I would rather not have it at all than this. Especially considering how good the Volvo and hi-way models were. This feels more like a hastily thrown together mod, than your usual high standard.

      One more thing to add. I absolutely understand if truck models are time consuming to produce, especially free of charge, I'm surprised you ever started to do it in the first place. But if your not going to do it as it should be, perhaps in future they should be DLC, it would be far better to charge us all 3 or 4 euros, and get a proper, well made truck, and also you get paid for your time, and effort, than releasing substandard updates. The man hours spent throwing this together would have been better put else where.

      I think that maybe you've been a bit harsh, I would never call the new model "a joke"... That's quite disrespectful towards other people's work. It might not be up to par with the real thing - then again, I wouldn't know the first thing that's wrong with the model against the real truck, but still I'm sure it was a piece work to bring together a complete new build with a new truck model.

      There are certainly better ways to criticize something, especially when you are getting it for freeout of their good will (partly, at least).

      agree with the post-starter, they gave us 2 well made truks, for nothing, and this one unfinished, and in hurry, just to derive our attention from the new AI .
      better the future trucks ( i wait a lot after Renault T, and the new DAF, and also MAN TGX ) should arrive to us as a DLC, ~7 ~8 euro all 3.

      This is exactly what I'm talking about, a truck is added and because the community are out with pitchforks demanding it. One guy reckons it's not finished and more fucknuggets are looking for the next one to be rushed out. Stop being dicks and let the developers do their jobs. (I'm not calling thebigbadonion a dick, if he thinks the truck is unfinished then I accept that. I wouldn't know the difference)

      I looked at some pics of the streamline and it sort of looks the same and i don't see that much of a difference having that V8 bumper or not it just does not matter i put the V8 on my streamline on the game and its still nice without it (if it was meant to make the truck look better) and its sort of looking like the real one anyway (well that is what i think but its your opinion so im not gonna go mad about what you said)

    Всем привет. Во первых, хочу сказать СКС большее человеческое спасибо за такой прекрасный проект симулятора. Во вторых, хочу попросить разработчиков, что бы в следующем обновлении немного поправили счетчик одометра на панели приборов. Что бы с начало накручивал 0-100 метров, а потом километры, а потом десятки и тысячи.

    Some of my deliveries doesn't appear. I select Quick Job Offers and some Trucks doesn't appear, if I select that truck, my game crushes automatically, why ? I own the game and both DLCs on STEAM, update it to the latest version and ...

      If the truck/trailer does not appear, there are broken data in your game. Make sure you are not using any broken mod and then wait for few days in game - broken job offers will disappear.

      it's an acknowledged bug. the only way to avoid crashes is not to use the UK version of the new FH
      the missing icons in the QuickJobs list won't crash the game, though...

    Updated it and I love the new Scania. Especially the new V8 interior. If you got Going East DLC and Scandinavia V1.01 ProMod, they will work with the new patch.

    I do not know, but maybe for some of you, riding around on the identical roads is the peak of todays gaming, but some of us are more demanding, especially when the game has huge potential, which just waiting to release him.
    You don't see that a large part of the work in development of the game are mods, which then comes as an another patch ? More visible changes comes to us like paid DLC that would not make the game looks better and doesn't change really too much ?
    I bought the game, I bought the DLC and I'm buying add-ons on Steam, and I expect more better changes !!!

    I told you people they are using steam just for testing the game, because steam is only good for that and for nothing else, so there is no need to be angry.     Hi! I have been testing the new scania for a whine now. but I see some problems with ligths. if you put on extra ligths, they dont increase lightning on the road. seems like they are rurned off. but they are actually on outside the truck. on the original scania with same rigging there is a serious increasing of ligth effects :) on on this nwe one. also braking in very poor?? anybody else have same problem?

      As was stated literally hundreds of times, they can't add Mercedes because they do not have the license to do so.
      SCS have tried (and may still be) trying to get them to agree, but it's all in Mercedes hands. They have so far refused to license their trucks to SCS.

      Send your requests to Mercedes.

      And realistic trailer coupling please, not park within 1 meter of trailer and press 'T'.

      Reversing a truck into a trailer and hearing and feeling the fifth wheel lock into the trailer's kingpin is something I really miss when playing this "simulator".

    I found a little bug with the Scania R Streamline, I just installed the 560 BHP motor in my Scania and it shows on the front as a 580 BHP motor but says in the stats 560 BHP, Other then that I love it.

    I just don't understand why Mercedes doesn't want to give scs permission to use the real brand. I mean, it's just extra advertisement. I'm sure the DAF EURO 6 will be in a patch in the near future.
    But because of the licence problem with Mercedes, I don't think we'll be seeing the new Mercedes very soon.
    Too bad, in my opinion...

    I found out Ford are making a return to the world trucking market
    The Ford Cargo is making a comeback for the first time, since Ford sold it's European trucking division to Iveco in 1986.
    I'd love to see this in the game.
