From time to time, before new vehicles make it into the game, our artists are creating renders from the work in progress models for internal review purposes. Until a vehicle model is complete and ready to be imported it into the game, this is the way for us to understand if we are on the right path with the 3D model.
This almost-finished T680 looks so cool on the renders that we thought you might enjoy seeing it as well!
This almost-finished T680 looks so cool on the renders that we thought you might enjoy seeing it as well!
Nice! Keep up the great work!
ReplyDeletevERY nICE ; ATS under way :d
ReplyDeleteNice!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful
ReplyDeleteGreat Work SCS
ReplyDeleteRequest Freightliner Argosy
I AGREE!!!! FREIGHTLINER ARGOSY AND KENWORTH K200 series, AS CAB OVERS RULE
DeleteYou want Cab overs... go play ETS 2... this is an American game.
DeleteCab overs ARE American, you jerk.
DeleteNot so much anymore. No one really uses them for long haul. Our roads are made to a reasonable size, and regular trucks ride better. It'd be neat to see some retro cab overs, I'd agree. However I think that's something for modders to add.
DeleteSuperb
ReplyDeleteGreat work
ReplyDeleteWow! Love it!
ReplyDeleteCool!.. good job!
ReplyDeletehttps://www.facebook.com/AmericanTruckSimulatorOne
Vaov! it looks great.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to truck coast to coast and if you can build all the old R66 as well,
ReplyDeleteonly joking about the R66.....or am I ?? LOL
Thanks SCS Software :)
ReplyDeleteGood works....

It would be nice when you start a company. you can only buy old used trucks. get parts from junkyards to maintain your trucks. As you earn more money and level up newer trucks become available.
ReplyDeleteAvailability should not depend mainly on level, but affordability, imo.
Deleteoh yea i agree, I did say - As you earn more money. But these trucks should have high mileage, rusty bodies which affect performance.
DeleteIt would be good to apply for contracts and these are affected by your company rating.
I doubt it that truck manufactorers will let SCS make their trucks look bad, so I don't think SCS will make used truck dealers. Too bad, I think it's actually a really nice idea.
DeleteIt'd make it a bit harder to start a company with crappy trucks and then work your way up.
Oh well, after a few levels the bank is without a reason and no financial prospects willing to lend you $100,000 anyway, so you can cheat yourself in a daycab truck.
I wish they made it a bit harder to get your own truck. But I cant deny that I took the loan as soon as it popped up. :P
Maybe it'd be harder if we had to buy our own garage first, instead of getting one for free. I never got that anyway, you truck for a none-existing company in ETS, but you start with a shed... Why would someone who works for a company have a shed for his truck?...
And I dont think truck manufactorers will be happy about crappy second hand truck with another name, since they still resamble their brand.
For example: Mercedes in ETS 2 will sell new trucks and Majestic sells second hand trucks. MB probably won't be too happy about that and won't give their license I guess...
I agree the forerunner trucks are fast keep up the goox work ; P
DeleteAs a matter of fact, I was thinking about this today. I personally think that the starter trucks should be sleeper-less trucks such as those made by GMC and Mack, with with trucks that feature sleepers being unlocked once you put at least one skill point into long-distance hauling.
DeleteThat would be a nice idea Shannon, however here in the states at least most people start off as over the road. Typically you have to work a year or more for a company and then they will give you a local route/routine where a day cab is fine. It's actually more realistic to start us long hauling but I get why that doesn't work gameplay wise.
Deletehow are things with The New DAF XF Euro 6?
ReplyDeleteawesome SCS !
ReplyDeleterequest International 9800!!!!
keep up the great work. cheers from the USA.
ReplyDeleteWould be nice to see exhaust on the back of the cabin in ETS2 aswell :) nice renders!
ReplyDeleteCan you share somme more pics of the interior of the truck like the dashboard, sleepers, etc. However, very appreciable work.
ReplyDeleteAwesome !!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeletenice mate! i'm sure it's not for euro truck sim 2 lol..
ReplyDeletelooks damn good, though i prefer the pete this one is awesome too and in the game :)
ReplyDeleteTotally awesome, keep up the good work. "thumps up"
ReplyDeleteSCS awesome, and congratulations. Wait on ATS.
ReplyDeleteNice work SCS waiting patiently for ATS
ReplyDeleteDrool worthy renders
ReplyDeleteU guys are fecking awesome :D
I'm pretty sure that SCS is going to merge the two continents into one game in future. They will release ATS with same map scale as ETS2, so why not to connect those maps in a new game called "Trans-Atlantic Truck Simulator". Maybe SCS will make map even bigger from 18WoS ET2 maps and call the game as World of Trucks!
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
DeleteSurely it's got to happen eventually?
DeleteWhy would they have two separate maps when you could join them? Sure it'd be a bit more difficult but the end product would be much better! :)
Looks very nice these renders , hope so the game will be great.
ReplyDeleteLovely,looking for it and ATS
ReplyDeleteBy the way, when is Euro coach going to come and more screenshots?
ReplyDeleteRELEASE IT ALREADY I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!
ReplyDeleteKeep it up SCS!
Wow!!! Awesome work scs!
ReplyDeletethere will be used trucks?
ReplyDeletePlease Kenworth t700
ReplyDeleteI just read a comment from one of the guys talking about merging continents and creating "Trans-Atlantic Truck Simulator". Just wanted to say this could be the most amazing idea I`ve ever heard. SCS might wanna consider it.
ReplyDeleteAre we going to get it with the Kenworth 7-spoke wheels shown on Kenworth T680 website?
ReplyDeletehttp://www.kenworth.com/trucks/t680.aspx
And will we get more than one cab option (76" sleeper) since you gave trucks in ETS2 three cab options?
Will we get some tuning options like you can spec the truck in real life?
http://t680configurator.kenworthtruckco.com/
i.e. Fairings - none, partial, full (as you have in renders)
Bumper - Painted (as you have in renders), unpainted, chrome
Interior - Tan/Slate Grey & Vantage/Diamond VIT (Diamond leather inserts)
Renders look great, I just hope this means you got licensing approval from Kenworth now.
SCS has showed daycabs, sleepers and flattops already and there are some pictures floating around on the web that show a Peterbiltwith tuning parts.
DeleteAnd even if SCS won't be creative with accesoiries, modders will probably come up with all sorts of cool parts, just like they did with ETS 2's trucks... Eeerrr... Well... The ETS 2's Scania...
(No idea how this reply from me showed a couple of comments up)
I agree, Strangerberry. ATS will be leaps and bounds ahead of ETS 2. And with newer features modders will take advantage of it quickly, with some cool additions.
DeleteOh you saw it in some early development screenshots.
DeleteTell me more about things that will make it to the final release.
Remember how they showed pics of double trailers in ETS2 and then they totally ended up in the final game!
love it scs just hope you release ats soon
ReplyDeleteWow looks amazing, Can't wait to play it.
ReplyDeleteYou can and more !
ReplyDeleteI hope ATS comes with the Kenworth W900a and the Peterbilt 379 sometime this year.
ReplyDeleteNope. Both those truck models are discontinued. SCS will only use new trucks.
Deletequem falou ? ela nao disse isso em nenhum momento fera.
DeleteThat pictures look amazing! Especially as the T680 is one of the most beautiful contemporary US trucks, to my mind, of course =)
ReplyDeleteBy the way: Nice to finally see wheels with 10 nuts...
Deletenice job SCS
ReplyDeletemaybe we can make or give u a list
of AI Vechicle too add in ATS
Is this the first SCS game with licensed American trucks? (keywords: "licensed" and "American")
ReplyDeleteYou could also put classic trucks like freightliner coronado Columbia, Argosy, kw t2000
ReplyDeletekeep it up SCS! :)
ReplyDeleteхорошо, хотчется увидеть что в салоне этого грузовика, ну и конечно поскорее его в игре протестировать, постарайтесь поскорее выпустить Калифорнию для фанатов ваших игр
ReplyDeleteGot to love those "Kitty Whoppers"
ReplyDeletethe wheel is too glassy. So, it's like ALH or Haulin. Please reduce the glassy. I think it would be real.
ReplyDeleteLooks fantastic.... damn, what a way to tease us.
ReplyDeleteespero ver
ReplyDeleteGreat Dane
Wabash
Utility
They're struggling to even get truck licenses, I wouldn't hold your breath for licensed trailers.
DeleteAwesome game ATS is what i have been waiting for years anyways SCS request for Freightliner Argosy and International eagle 9800
ReplyDeleteLooks absolutly beatiful and again with a great eye for detail!
ReplyDelete10 nuts on the wheels, a mirror mounted above the passenger side window, antennas, it all looks great!
I just hope all trucks will be high quality in ATS. In ETS 2 the MANs, DAFs, the old Ivecos, Mercedeses, Renaults and the old Volvos are just so notibly worse than the premium trucks. They're still good, but they're just not as good as the new models.
Not sure about Mercedeses and old Volvos, but DAFs, old Ivecos and Renaults are low quality. MAN is quite nice, but satnav is extremely poor quality. I wouldn't mind if SCS improved those models.
Deletenice, when is the fucking game coming out????
ReplyDeletemake a kenworth t680, i drive one in real life would love it in the game
ReplyDeleteWhat do you think the pics are of numbnuts?
DeleteYou drive a truck you've never seen? COOL STORY BRO>
take a look at the new pics ;)
DeleteNice models, can't wait for the game!
ReplyDeleteOne can Only Assume that ATS is still far from release. So I think we'd all like an update on the DAF Euro 6 for ETS 2 that you started in November how far is that from completion ? Why no updates on the truck ?
ReplyDeleteAlso SCS please make the DAF Euro 6 interior realistic with the right trim colors.
Don't do what you did with the Volvo FH 2012 the real truck has a black greyish trim but you made it a yellow cream color.
I mean you have the licence from the manufacturers so you can make interior with the right trim/colors
SCS Volvo FH 2012 Interior - http://postimg.org/image/pb8mj9gkv/
Volvo FH 2012 Interior Real life - http://www.hayatnotu.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/Volvo-FH-Cockpit1.jpg
Volvo FH 2012 Realistic interior ETS 2 - http://ets2.lt/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/Volvo-FH-16-2012-Realistic-Interior-1.jpg
+1 How can you f**k the colours up, seriously.
DeleteI think what there saying about the interior is the real volvo is not yellow cream interior which is true and would prefer grey and black like the real volvo truck interior. I think SCS could have done better job with the interior and not used yellow cream. So I guess theyd like SCS to make the new DAF interior they way it is in the real truck.
DeleteNice work !
ReplyDeletemuhteşem
ReplyDeleteSCS are with you.
ReplyDeleteYou are perfect.
Nice! Keep up the great work!
ReplyDeleteI would love it if you can make Kenworth w900L in the game?!
ReplyDeleteSCS software great work, perfect modeling, but tires i don't like. I'am brazillian
ReplyDeleteAs long as you will add the old classic trucks tho i'm happy xD Would like to see freightliner and volvo vnl tho :D
ReplyDeleteHow about log books so you have to log your hours like a real trucker? Or break downs on the highway? Those sort of things should be allowed and adds to the experience of being a driver.
ReplyDeleteAh those are really good ideas!
DeleteCOME ON!!!!! just give us some release news!!! will it be ready for the summer? or closer to October or ready for xmas??? give us something!!!!!
ReplyDeleteBeatiful trucks...
ReplyDeleteMore work in ETS 2!!
ReplyDeleteGuys any possible release date? Its about 2014 or later?
ReplyDeleteAm I the only that thinks ATS will be added into ETS 2 with a DLC?
ReplyDeleteDidn't anyone noticed that since 1.9 versions they added in options->gameplay the line Region Presets with: Continental Europe, UK and USA?
I don't think that USA is there for nothing.
Didn't you noticed that since a few versions there are buses station that are even in the GPS?
Try to think at those things, because I see a future integration of American Truck Simulator and maybe the new upcoming Bus Simulator in ETS 2.
I myself hope they're going to release ECS and ATS this way. I think the best way would be to release those games as standalone expansions, like Simbin's RACE expansions, or Bohamia's ArmA II OA, etc. They can be bought and used separetly, but if you have both of them, you can use all the content in a single game, without switching to the other. The idea of having an intercontinental road transport corporation transporting passengers, and hauling in Europe and North-America sounds great.
DeleteI probably don't know any better about this than you do, but to my mind the fact that there's a "Region presets" option doesn't necessarily indicate that ATS will be integrated into ETS2. I mean, couldn't the effect your choice in that "Region presets" line has right now already be what SCS intend(ed): Selecting all the units and the clock notation used in your country/region with only one single click instead of having to change everything in the "REGIONAL SETTINGS" manually? I'm pretty sure there are players over in the US who prefer miles to kilometres or gallons to litres. If I had an American game with the option of using °C instead of °F, I would also make use of it as I don't have a too great feeling for the latter unit, °C is much simpler. Just an assumption...
DeleteI'm a COE Man but that does look good
ReplyDeleteSo what about adding International truck right after 2006 models and road train ? :P
ReplyDeletePs. Nice work :)
We won't see road trains.
DeleteSCS took it out because they found it too hard to program with their newer, more "realistic" physics since STDS, ETS2.
Unless that is why they made the physics even more arcade-like in latest patch, to allow for doubles in ATS.
Either way we lose. Worse physics with road trains, or better physics without road trains.
Nice work - all though I do´nt like the american trucks - to monsterous and not at all stylish like the europeans.. :o)
ReplyDeleteDid we feel the need to piss on your trucks during the last few years since we were bombarded with European trucks? No. So shut the f**k up.
DeleteYou're damn right they're too monsterous, at least we can handle them. >:D
DeleteAnd "style" doesn't come to mind when I see your plastic covered boxes on wheels. I guess criticism is a two-way street.
We would really encourage SCS to also include the classic style trucks such as the Peterbilt 379 and the Kenworth W900, etc. That would be awesome! Maybe create and addon expansion for classic trucks alongside the new ones?
ReplyDeleteI don't think SCS will, but there are a million 379 & W900 mods for games like Haulin that will be converted to ATS. Heck, even ETS2 saw a few of these models converted and most of the people who will make/convert trucks for ATS didnt even mod ETS2, it was mostly Russians.
DeleteThe trucks look really nice and exquisite, I'm expecting the driving in ATS :-)
ReplyDeletenow american truck simulator ?¿??
ReplyDeletelol crawl back under your rock
DeleteGood looking renders. I'm not a big fan of the curvy style present in modern American trucks. For purely selfish reasons and taste, I'd love an International 9900i!
ReplyDeleteKeep up the great work, I hope I get tired of ETS2 by the time ATS comes out!
Dear SCS,
ReplyDeleteI have 2 questions:
1. Can you make bigger sleeping places, and remove the small ones?
2. How many cabins are you going to make for the new Actros, becouse there are 6.
Thanks!
Didn't anyone noticed that since 1.9 versions they added in options->gameplay the line Region Presets with: Continental Europe, UK and USA?
ReplyDeleteI didn't noticed before you told me , that' should be nice cause they will release game earlier going by this way , hope we can drive european trucks in USA roads and these huge american trucks in european countries!.
don't think so, it's just for players from UK or US or EU to adjust the game to how it's correct for their region like mph or kmh or pounds dollars or euros...

ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful pictures SCS keep up the great work. One question though. Is it possible to have the gameplay similar to UK or German Truck simulator where you start out driving for a company and work your way up to buying your own truck and becoming an Owner/Operator? I really enjoyed that style of gameplay as it is more realistic. Anyways keep up the great work and I look forward to hearing more news on ETS2 and ATS
ReplyDeletei'd suggest a yes/no solution: you can choose from these 2: do i want to start my own company from the beginning like in ETS2 or do i want to start like in GTS and work for someone before i start
Deletebut nice idea!
Let us have a home with a garage where we can store say 3 trucks, and 3 trailers in the yard.
ReplyDeletePerhaps have a few possible locations where we can have our house, and once purchased it shows up on the selected part of the map, so we have a bit of choice where we work from.
Perhaps a rest bonus (RPG style) if we sleep at home.
And if we want we can hire other drivers to drive the trucks we are currently not using (kind've like ETS2 but trucks are only given away on a job-by-job basis, not permanent), and we get to decide what jobs they do, and have to manage them a bit, trying to organise trips that we can find return jobs from in advance etc to maximise profits and keep the wheels turning.
There are so many different things you could do to expand on the gameplay for ATS, but I realise time is your limiting factor but please SCS try to innovate a little bit and give us new opportunities and more options to play different ways. I think ETS2 is a bit too linear and lacking decisions and freedom as well as not being friendly to role-playing (which lets face it, at some level you are all role-playing being a truck driver).
I'd like to say I agree with this person's comment!!
DeleteGreat ideas you gave to SCS team , hope so they will take account these ideas to improve the upcoming game or why not actual game ETS2 , it will be awesome.
ReplyDeleteHere's my fingers crossed hoping for the T660 alongside the W900. You guys rock!
ReplyDeleteAwesome job!!! I can't wait when ATS comes out!!! I'll be one of the millions of people who get it!!!
ReplyDeleteIs there gonna be a T800?
ReplyDeleteSo when will the next ETS 2 update be ? Hoping the physics will be changed in next patch
ReplyDeleteI can't really complain about that model, the basic detail is pretty much spot on. Although the bottom of the exhaust stack could probably use some further attention. Thanks for finally fixing the wheels by the way!
ReplyDeleteI'm actually interested to see if you guys are going to do a W900L. Now that I would absolutely love.
Looks awesome, really pumped for ATS.
ReplyDeleteRequest: Old school Kenworth K100.
I would like to see this truck:
ReplyDeletehttp://goo.gl/UgBt8C
http://goo.gl/i7X3Ea
Is there a Chance of having Concord or mabey Nashua , New Hampshire in this game ?? they are large Citys.
ReplyDeleteLooks nice indeed!
ReplyDeleteCan you guys let us tour the inside of the trucks as well? For instance, if we're going to sleep in one, can you guys make the animation for when we get up from the seat and go into the sleeping compartment? That would be so friggin cool.
Keep up the great work!
And a truck i would like to see added is the 2009 Kenworth T660. I just love the interior in that one. The wood just go so nice with the white matte and the black on the dash. And the gages are placed nicely tho.
ReplyDeleteDo what forza 4 did give us a garage let us open doors and start engines turn on lights open hood ect. this looks fantastic :) thanks
ReplyDeletewhat they need is a sleeper truck where if you pull off the road, turn off the engine, and select an option you could sleep
ReplyDeleteIf you SCS relly do this ATS please include Volvo trucks, inparticular all the VNL series. And of course it won't be American without Peterbilt. Don't forget the real engines and gearboxes (10, 13 ,18, IShift....).
ReplyDeleteAnd PLEASE add 16 speed gearbox for ETS2 !!!
No trucks like this in Europe? I am using the simulator, but all flat nosed trucks, nothing like these in Europe a North American thing? Would be nice to have one or two of these in the choices for Europe.
ReplyDeleteDo we get any Peterbilt 379's or 389's? What about old style peterbilts, from like the 1940s/1950s. What about Macks, Kenworths, Freightliners?
ReplyDelete
