Still working on trailers for ETS2

Our work on refreshing the trailer fleet for Euro Truck Simulator 2 is still under way. Today we'd like to present you the current progress on another trailer.

Please keep in mind that whatever you see here on the blog is still subject to change. While we are trying to approach as many companies in transportation industry as we can to get them involved and to kindly allow their brands to be present in the game, we are not always 100% successful. We will keep trying, but it is inevitable that in the end, we may have to "invent" fantasy brands or even change some designs as we will not be able to use real life originals.

  5. Very nice work. You know, it would be absolutely fantastic if we could see many real brands in game. On the other hand, if it will be proved as impossible, fictional brands will surely not ruin atmosphere. ;-)

  10. Awesome model, but number plate is way too big. And why it is the same as number on krone?

    ========================

By the way, is it possible to remake truck dealers?
Usually there's an official dealer of 1 brand of truck. They have own service station as well.
Your system of mixed trucks at 1 dealer is kinda unreal
    Take a look:

It's a Scania dealer in Czech Republic.
    Thanks for your attention!

  12. ETS2 team are just congratulate your projects are great.
I only have one thing to criticize in the trailers, the spiral air hose and electrical wires that are placed in the back of the cab and connects to the trailer are not visible in any of the games ETS1, GTS, UKTS. would be fantastic if it were visible in this, I would be more realistic.

  17. Incredible work SCS

As I said, if a company does not release the name used in the game, you could put the trucks and trailers in an unofficial patch, published by you, and not by Scs. It would be really amazing to be able to use these vehicles, which are very well done.

Keep up the good work and thanks for the blog. Keep us updated always!

  20. Be careful! The sign the way you did it is a big no-go. German signs (like this) are always taller at the sides. The name of the city stands in the middle and does not necessarily use all the place of the sign.

Keep up the amazing work SCS Software team.

  22. F*ck you SCS :) :) Continue like this and modders will have nothing to do. ;)

  31. SCS,

Great job on the trailer it looks good.

  32. The trailer looks good. Don't worry about brands; it shouldn't take more than two or three days to modders to fill the forums with trailers bearing real brand logos.
About the license plate: keep in mind that it's a very appreciated item among truckers. Why don't you have the game dynamically create them, so they spell anything the player wants? Shouldn't be that hard for a team like SCS. More than that, the possibility of applying user decals on trucks and trailers (pictures of certain size and format, placed in the home directory and usable via a customization section). It would solve any brand issue, right?
Also, my little big dream, the map mod heaven, fully editable text, via map editor, including city names, orientation and direction boards etc.
    Hope I wasn't too boring! :D

  47. You are making really good progress day by day - thank you SCS! You make trucksim fans' dreams come true. It will really be nice if we get a more realistic map of Europe with more cities and companies. When are you going to annouce the map, by the way? I assume that we are going to have at least all the countries from ETS1 there...
