The user interface screen for truck customization is still not fully finished, but you can already see the wealth of options and flexibility that we have in mind. These shots actually happen to be the very first images showing a glimpse of the user interface style that we are going to use in Euro Truck Simulator 2.

ReplyDeletePlease add interior truck customization at all. I'm sure we'd all love to be able to place some small toys or flags on the board of our truck, like real truck drivers do. If possible, add those licence plates with names that truckers use to stick on their windows. Something like [DE]Hans or [RO]Dorel, or [GB]John, depending on the country you want to be from. :D

ReplyDeleteI wish that the driver(player) can choose small LED Lights for the truck! A lot of truck-drivers choose that LED-lights. You can see it on the motorways in the whole europe. The Scania V8´s have that in front of the cabin, at night it looks like a big V

ReplyDeleteAnyway, like some users above wrote, I really do hope that customization includes both visual (vinyls, custom license plates at the windscreen) and performance-oriented updates (e.g. an engine/transmission tuning slightly more detailed than what we can see in German Truck Sim).
Also, a couple of Hungarian fans and I were just discussing whether the visual updates will have any actual outcome in gameplay. For example, will the headlights effect be stronger if you buy a set of toplights and fog lamps besides the factory ones? :)
What this game will come out the Volkswagen truck?

ReplyDeletePersonally, couldn't i care less about the looks of the Truck, since i'm playing this game 100% in first person view. The interior and the surrounding world - the gameplay itself is what's really important to me. But nice for all the "kids" to have this opportunity, the respons speaks volumes.
ReplyDeleteThe feature of right or left-hand side steering in T&T was a nice addition to the game, and much more important in my book. I'm guessing/hoping it also will be in ETS2.
I just waiting for the release date, so i can start explore all those awesome screenies i've been seeing thru all the posts from you guys. Many months has passed by since i first started read this blog by now...

Why kids? Don't like to hear that, I am not a kid, but this is a really nice add to the game. The user interface looks exactly like how I should design it. Without the ability of buying accessoires the game would be less attractive. Personally, the charme of the previous 18 Wheels Of Steel games was the possibility to make and put accessoires on your truck, homemade or downloaded from the fansites. I used the game to show how my truck would look with my styling ideas.

ReplyDeletegreat parts, beacon lights and co. thats really cool. If the player could choose license plates for his truck, that every driver has the plates he like to have. In my eyes its a good idea and more realistic.
ReplyDeleteA lot of people talked about cb-radio for the trucks. At this moment nobody knows if it will be in Eurotrucksimulator 2. But an areal on the roof would be cool for the style of the truck.
And what about the physic's development?

ReplyDeleteI couldn't find an appropriate topic to ask my question, so I'm gonna do it here: are you going to include Bulgaria on the Europian map? Our country became European member in 2007 and yet there was no Bulgaria on ETS which was issued 2008.
And there's one thing I really hope you will do for ETS2: all countries to have garages to buy, to upgrade and fill them with trucks. The first ETS was more than boring, to say the least, because it didn't have the gameplay of GTS.
Also you could make more cities for all the countries and make those cities bigger.

I suggest more interactivity with the scenarios.
The gas stations are always there and never deserts supplying other vehicles.
The loading and unloading of trucks could be more real and not simply vanish the trailer.
The driver might be in the vehicle at all times (optional).
The sides of the roads need not always be deserted.
Excellent utility!!! Interior customization would be appreciated!!!
