Greetings,
Some of you may have found our very first newsletter in your inbox during the recent week. It's been a bit complicated for us to mail out over 170 thousand e-mails (and that's still only about half of users registered on World of Trucks!), even using Amazon's back-end service, it took several days to go through the long list.
So far we have received mostly compliments from our readers, indicating that there's hunger for such information updates. Some of our fans come here to read our blog, other people mostly stick to Facebook, some prefer Twitter, but it would take a real obsession to follow everything we do on a daily basis. So we believe that the newsletter, covering a broader range of topics and sent out every couple of months, will be a good additional channel to keep in touch with the fanbase, especially with the players who do not play the game or engage in the community so frequently, but still don't want to miss out on new cool things happening that could spark their interest in playing the game again more intensively.
It was not a coincidence that we wanted to get the first newsletter issue out alongside the release of our Euro Truck Simulator 2 Scandinavia expansion, a little bit of additional PR never hurts, but we think that you could appreciate that we focused on slightly different and deeper aspect of its development, as well as provided an overview of other projects that we are cooking for you under SCS Software's roof.
To prevent excessive email bounce rate we opted to send the newsletter only to active World of Trucks users - those who logged in to World of Trucks at least once during the last six months. In case you were among people who missed it, fear not, we are going to store all our future newsletters on our forum, where you have an option to comment or discuss its content.
So here you go:

Great! But you have some [link to previous newsletter post] =)
ReplyDeleteLoved the newsletter and you guys

ReplyDeleteGreat to hear SCS plans
ReplyDeleteposting for the first time here, I want to say congrats to everyone working at SCS team, I am not especially fan of trucks, but I have to admit ETS2 is the best drivng/racing game (softwares using racing wheels).
ReplyDeleteI am especially focusing on the great multiplayer mod (as there is not yet official online), this mod give me a real interest on play intensively at this game and bought every DLC (even the useless paint job, just to support SCS) and I donated 50€ to team mod.
The very good new from this newsletter come from Euro Coach Simulator wich will be a DLC and not a standalone game. So I hope to be able to drive a bus online on a player traffic blending bus and trucks ! this thing could not be possible with a separate game, so thank you SCS for every great choice you always did on your game, you deserve your success.
PS : please add more slot on gas stations as you did for highway's tolls. It will be very usefull in multiplayer mods. And also add rail crossing activation pathern linked to clock time, so it will be always synchronised on multiplayer too.
Lol i got the newsletter so early that i cannot find it back in my mails
ReplyDeleteSo please focus more on euro coach before ATS if you read it
thx
ReplyDeleteCan you please make optional legend ? I'm stuck at 99,99% on Scandinavia and had 100 before...
ReplyDeleteTake a look around south of norway, there is hidden roads somewhere ;)
DeleteI saw a mod talked about on Steam that when you activate it, any areas on the map are highlighted. This achievement is possibly the hardest to succeed at because you have to go to every parking area. As well as that some of the blocked off roads have spots that aren't 'discovered' so you have to nudge the blockade to get it to highlight.
DeleteThanks Patrick for advice. I've found my last 0,01% at Gdansk, i didn't notice the second port from within city limits.
DeleteAlso, I used this : http://ets2.lt/en/undiscovered-road-finder-mod-reloaded-no-icons/
First off I want to thank SCS for the effort, they can speak criticize what you want, but you're the only company to care for customers "(players)" and we stick by it. I would also like to commend the good work it has been doing and how evolved in such a short time, it has many things to improve and I'm sure you have everything in plans.
ReplyDeletePutting bus at ETS 2 is a dream, will boost sales by 100% of the crowd, I am bus and truck fans will be fantastic.
I would like to ask a favor for all of you modelers and creators in the SCS, please could put the characters animations throughout Europe not only in Scandinavia ... it would be really cool.
Thank you.
I also want to commend your intention to add passenger transportation in ETS2!
ReplyDeleteWithout a doubt the buses will be more in demand in the form of DLC.
We wish you successful implementation of new and interesting ideas!
Thank you very much for your work!
P.S By the way, I hope that the idea of trucks BDF tandem will also find its embodiment!
I come from Hong Kong like to play ETS2, support Spain and Portugal, Eastern Europe, and other parts plus DLC.
ReplyDeleteI do not know when there is MAN TGX E6 with Renault T system E6.
Support ECS independent game .. wait ...
ETS2, very good!
I hope to open China SCS simulation truck, Hong Kong, Macao and Guangdong.
There are a few points that SCS should make sure to:
ReplyDelete, All provide blinker right (sound speed)
, The night should be finally dark
, 8x4, 8x6 and 8x8 chassis for all trucks
, Reflectable delineators everywhere spread (not only Scandinavia)
. add control indicators for all trucks (lift axle, retarder,? PTO?)
.The automatic gearbox revise (+ POWER mode for each truck)
That's it time.
I think that's enough for the next 2-3 updates :-)
Night is quite dark if you turn HDR off ... but day time will be too dark XD
DeleteMaybe their night lighting effets should set the HDR lower for night time...?
I'm definitely getting the coach DLC, no matter the cost cuz I love buses.
ReplyDeleteI am so ready for the EuroCoach DLC. I too love buses and can't wait till it comes out. In the meantime, if you just want to drive the bus temporarily, there is a mod on one of the websites that has a Volvo coach. That should keep you going until the DLC comes out:-))
DeleteWhen is the rigid dlc coming out or is there any news about it?
ReplyDeleteSCS, both me and a friend of mine are having technical problems (non mod related) but you aren't responding to neither of us. I'm wondering why this is. What's SCS' policy with helping out individuals with problems?
ReplyDeleteSorry for posting the error here but I have no account at SCS blog. The whole game is much too dark and I have to put the brightness at the highest Level to get a normal sight. My computer and Monitor is ok so thats not the Problem.
ReplyDeleteTry turning of HDR, that seems to help.
DeleteThanks for your help but I forgot to say that I Play without HDR so I don`t know what is the Problem. It is 12 o`clock and the light is like 19 o`clock. Thats not good. I Play now with the highest Level of brightness!!

ReplyDeleteSince 1.18.0.10s no sound by new actros!!!!!!!
ReplyDeletequando registro meu jogo na word truks tenho meu jogo atulizado automaticamente
ReplyDeleteSadly there was no info about rigid trucks. So in this year you don't have even in plans to launch it? Not good.
ReplyDeletemaybe they have some things going on about that , we have to wait for next posts , maybe they will tell us sth about it , since every body is concerned as my self about rigid trucks
DeleteСпасибо вам ребята из SCS Software за игру. Продолжайте дальше улучшать её. Сделайте пожалуйста опцию - спойлер на низкие кабины.
ReplyDeleteThe newsletter is just great :) How about the Rigid Truck DLC, I haven't heard about that for a very long time, is this still a thing? would be soo cool if you're still working on thtat :D
ReplyDeleteThanks SCS for the news and the newsletter. Unfortunately I am still saving up to get a decent PC with Windows 7 and a graphics card to replace my present PC with Windows XP. The game with the 1.16 update was playable on that machine until the 1.17 update and the Scandinavia DLC came onto my Steam game. The game is now virtually unplayable due to extreme lag even with the settings low so I will have to wait to play again in a few months when I get my new PC.
ReplyDeletecheck out my ets2 company https://www.facebook.com/Woolhead100

ReplyDeleteSCS I want American truck simulator I don't want ETS 2 no more I don't care of the trucks real names put fake names in the trucks for now
ReplyDeleteETS2 rules loving the game :-)
ReplyDeleteBest regards to all truck drivers :) ETS2 play a long time and I am satisfied with a game and its interface with many hot and other details. One thing I it clear for what reason do not work bright lights or extra lights on the lower bumper as well as on the control panel when the lights and light the Scania ??? I think those are the basic rules that when you start this truck that should be light all the lights and we should add many more lijepig bulbs and holders such as kelssa etc. and greater choice of tires and wheels. Yes unforrgetable should work on introducing HD truck with a lot of physics realistcnom
