Rainy night

Things got interesting during the second part of the trip (see yesterday's post) - as the night was approaching, the weather got progressively worse...

To be completely honest, the new rain effects were only put into Euro Truck Simulator 2 during the past 2 weeks. Just as with every feature, after the initial implementation we will probably still be tweaking the effect for considerable time.

    In the picture no.15 in front of drived Scania is a trailer, Where are the wheels of trailer ?

    Perfect, now for rain you only miss the "FOG" of rain comming out of the wheels. In rain on side and behind a truck is like car wash.

    Some things I noticed:

    1st Picture: Tractor far in the road.
    2nd Picture: Side window all in rain and fog.
    3rd Picture: Tractor on the side and really good water effect.
    4th picture: Trailer finally turns as the truck turn.
    5th Picture: Asphalt look wet and you can see some windmills.
    6th Picture: -
    7th Picture: Ballon in air.
    8th Picture: -
    9th Picture: -
    10th Picture: BMW :D
    11th Picture: Nice and Dark
    12th Picture: Mirror view looks very realistic.
    13th Picture: Emergency Lane is coming off the asphalt.
    14th Picture: Road all shiny-red when car brakes, wet road effect :P
    15th Picture: Same again :0
    16th Picture: All dark which we all like.

    I agree with the rain coming out of the wheels, that should be added but it seems that your still working on rain effect so good luck :D.

    I'm thinking about the desirability of having three different times for the wipers.
    I do not think there would be problems in programming, with a single button you could have in succession: Alternate - continuous - fast.

    Suggestion for SCS: One of the best real simulators is Racer Free Car Simulator (racer.nl). Have a look and see how physics should really work. Everything is adjustable (mass, steering,torque, idle rpm, inertia, you name it...) and pretty much realistic if you input propper numbers. Screenshots are nice but keep an eye on details.

    Wow SCS, this is truly amazing. Not only is the night effects great, but the rain is much improved. I like the blurred vision, the wet roads, and the apperance in general. The only thing I would like to see is heavier rain, just add a lot more raindrops, and then it will be perfect. Snow would be nice as well, and from Extreme Trucker you already have decent snow. But, at least you did something. Everything you guys have been posting lately has been amazing!

    I like how the rain collects on the side windows and makes it harder to see! it looks a lot more realistic! I also agree that there should be some snow. I really want the challenge of driving on slippery roads, and I just like snow!

    Awesome awesome work! I can't wait for ETS2 to come out! Also, I love the rain on the side windows and the spray from the vehicle wheels too! And the cars are wonderful! Keep up the great work! This is going to be the best game ever! And I love the fact that the moon rises and moves at night! Amazing progress! :D

    This good rain, fog and night. I found the images according cloudy with rain, so I was not impressed. Correct me if I'm wrong, in the 15th image, the front of the truck, the trailer, he was without wheels! Taking the minimum failure, this perfect. I hope at least one video next time, just to show that rain, night and physics of the game.

    I have an idea more i noticed that the road is boring {trees,cities.trees,cities...} sometimes so the idea came alone what about when you are moving on the road{not at the highway}get inside to the villages and in the villages not all have a gas station or a workshop or a hotel or something else!!!!

    Very good. Beautiful images
    The climate seems to be very well done in this game. I really enjoyed.

    The traffic of other vehicles seems to be flowing more naturally and relist. Not in a way locked, as in German Truck Simulator.

    Only there's something strange : have a balloon flying with rain(screen 7). I never saw it.

    This camera is well regulated, Scania, but the camera of Volvo FH is very close.

    SCS i agree with the idea:the trucks and the cars
    must go to the gas station or to the hotel.
    And the traffic has only the important vehichles {cars trucks}add some motorcycles or trucks over 7,5 tons or buses or bicycles or tractors and people must walk on the walkways.

    Just amazing... Maybe also we'll have mirros "manual" adjustment? Because in previous post it was pointing the asphalt and in these pics they are better!

    SCS could give an estimated time for release. Example: 3 months. They should know on average quamto need time to finish the game.

    That new rain looks more real life rain i mean if you compare it thy the old rain and if its possible to add snow and sleet thy the game with some slippery road conditions then it can be even more like the real life situations can be so please add snow and can you make the roads slippery too trucker from Finland.

    SCS Software can you make a calendar you Start from January 2012 and it's snowing there are no leaves on the trees and when it's June the trees have leaves and it;s raining. On October the leaves fall of the trees and it's windy it's getting cold and December it's snowing again.
    Just an idea. Can you make it possible ?

    I'm totally agree with Actros2012. The SEASONS in the game will complete it. It will be awesome to see WINTER=SNOW,SPRING=FLOWERS,SUMMER=GREEN TREES and SUMMER RAIN STORMS,AUTUMN=RAINY DAYS and SNOW AGAIN. If you can make the seasons, then just make snow in the mountains on in northen countries like DENMARK or NORWAY.

    good evening to all fans SCS obsertvat vostrii I ask you to add snow as part of nature and have to come up with an idea and I say that their idea is not bad but I think it would be more interesting if you add a mist of fog but why not see 5 meters in front of you when you drive so please try to add snow and fog but there are some elements of nature that would be a shame not to find and play and do not forget Romania's map and I am agree with Rafael but fog is found both winter and spring and summer days in some places like the mountains ...

    Message to the people asking for snow, I don't know If you read their comment but they have said they have only just put rain into euro truck simulator 2 so give it time I'm sure there will be snow is this game as there are counties in this game that have snow most of the time! Be patient they want all the stuff we want in the game too!

    Scs great work, feels good to know that I'll be driving in some better rain rather than in your previous games :)
