E3 reveal of American Truck Simulator

We are truly humbled by public reception of American Truck Simulator. The readers of our blog have known about American Truck Simulator for a long time (the first reveal was in September 2013, that's a long time already!), but E3 and PC Gaming Show were a unique chance for us to show the game to even more people.

About 180,000 people were watching the Twitch stream when American Truck Simulator was featured in the PC Gaming Show. You can watch it here in past broadcasts.

There are many articles about the game out already and yet more are coming, we are super excited that American Truck Simulator is getting so much attention.

ATS was even one of the worldwide trends on Twitter, which shows how much attention we've got!

As some of you have noticed in yesterday's post, the American Truck Simulator website is now live. "Coming soon" Steam store page was also published yesterday - if you like getting Steam notifications about announcements from your favorite games, please click on the Follow button, we will always publish ATS-related content both here and in the Steam game hub.

    Really cool guys! You're doing a great job! I just can't wait for it.... Euro truck has changed also very much. It's a whole difference between the first update and the game now! And that after 2 years (time is going fast)! And after all that years, you still update the game, and listen to the community! That's something I really like. A company that listens to his community. Thanks for all the fun you gave, give and will give me/us in the future with your games.

    It is because it is "Euro Truck", they don't think trucks should be fuel efficient and handy. All they need is large space for their XXL asses...

    Personally, I feel that people find simulators to be boring and rubbish whereas some are actually really enjoyable, like ETS2 for example.
    Possibly they might have laughed at EURO TRUCK as most gaming companies normally do American trucks but SCS decided to do European and people may have thought it was strange to do European Trucking and not American.
    Also people may think European trucks are a bit boring and small and not powerful, whereas the American trucks are big, storng and nice.
    I am not taking sides but this maybe why they laughed at the idea 'Euro Truck Simulator 2'.

    Wow such a long wait for that trailer and that is all they show. Very disappointing and it shows how far they are from release. Wont expect this game until 2016.

      They showed us hours of alpha gameplay footage, and the alpha already looked good. It didn't look like your typical alpha build. They already showed us how the game was shaping up. And that wasn't even recent anymore. If it looked good then, it probably looks better now. I don't understand the disappointment.

    Can't wait for that game but please make proper sounds for the trucks ...some sounds in ets2 are very bad..(new scania l6 sound). Could you tell us something about the map? How much of the USA will be there ??

    To be honest I still find the game funny.

    On my PC I could be storming the beaches of Normandy, commanding a vast fleet of star cruisers, running a crime empire, or solving a grizzly murder. Instead I'm driving a lorry full of frozen peas from Aberdeen to Amsterdam, and I love it :D

    SCS must call it U.S TRUCK SIMULATOR not American because American includes Canada, Mexico and the entire South America Please change the name to U.S. Thank You

      What you call "America" is called the Americas in English. America means the USA. A game that includes all the Americas should be called Americas Truck Simulator.

    this is looking great SCS this will be on top of my wanted list I hope you guy's are including the tandem trailers otherwise it would still be ETS2 and not American Trucking at all We want Tandem Trailer's I'm sure I am not just speaking for myself but for all the other long time fan's as well.

    Guys .... ATS is name for whole USA ...like is ETS2 name for whole EU ... we know what we got with ETS2 ... and what we got with ETS ... lol ... now you ADs your ATS like USA game and you will sell to us just California ... come on .... from game to game you get much, much money and deliver less for that money .... think about everything - that way you will not get more players in game .... and I can see that if you do not see

      What are you complaining about?

      You do realize that California alone in size would cover almost the entire area covered in the ETS 2 vanilla game before Scandinavia and Going East?

      That is why you are getting California only...it is a huge state on its own. Same with all US states. Most US states alone would cover up multiple Central European contries. Look at that image below..that is Europe shown in size comparision to the US. That entire are of Europe covered in ETS2 vanilla fits from the East Coast to the Mississippi with only Spain/Portugal going over but they are not in the game to drive in so do not count...you still have the entire Western and Central US open.

      Now try and rethink what you are complaining about. Each state individually is bigger than many central European countries combined on their own.

    looking forward to this i love ero truck sim. tho the cabovers bug me since there top heavy. I still love driving in the game esp france lol i always get my trailer hit there lol. but i look forward to the new addtion to my sim family games. if u want to know how real the game is isnt a bad buy alot of dlc but well worth it

    Scandinavia road sign error: If you come from Rostock Port, on the left side of the first road sign, you wrote Bremen instead of Berlin. Please correct it. Thanks!

    Congratulations on the trending on Twattar ..... this is good news and hopefully driver interest and in turn development of ATS. For sure ATS will kick off on what will be a long road of development and expansion similar to the road ETS2 is travelling down.

    Of course folks want expansions to continue on ETS2 and as slight more than off topic it is to make references to ETS2 in a post that is clearly about ATS, it goes to show again the appetite there is for ETS2 development. This takes nothing away from the wish to ATS as soon as possible and I for one am really looking forward to being able to drive both. I might use FSX to fly myself between continents LOL

    What I really liked about ALH was the second hand truck dealers, so I really hope that can get into ATS. Plus, and this applies to ETS2 as well, there should be the ability to do repairs and maintenance at least in your own garages. Maybe for upgrades you still have to visit the shop but the main point of your own garage is maintenance and repair.
