Scandinavia is a very different space to work and create in than the territories we have created in the past - it's not just the different sights, it's the fact that the countries are not landlocked like most of the environments in existing Euro Truck Simulator 2 world.
Our
previous post contained a general review of the map that might have given you some idea on the scale of the DLC. The Scandinavia territory in Euro Truck Simulator 2 will feature a total of 15 new ports and ferry locations that allow you to board the ferries directly.
We felt that ferries are an integral part of Scandinavian transportation and decided to go an extra mile to ensure that ship models and ferry locations in the game closely reflect the ferry ports and ships you can see in real life. We've spent considerable amount of time to recreate this aspect of Scandinavia in great detail - many of the ports in the expansion have the size of entire cities you've seen in current Euro Truck Simulator 2.
The sea transportation network will allow you to use alternate connections between locations in Scandinavia and other territories of the map, as the ferries will also connect destinations in Poland and United Kingdom. At the same time, we wanted to avoid abuse of the ferry system that would allow players to just "hop" around the map quickly without the need for much driving, so the ferry network is intentionally not as dense as in the real world.
I think you should rèally makè of èjsbèrg a small town with at lèast a truck rèpair shop and a purchasablè garagè
ReplyDeleteFantastic! Finally we got a view of all the cities in the map, even the small ones like Södertälje and Hirtshals! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteO M G ! You're killing me
ReplyDeleteAwesome !!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait, it looks fantastic!
ReplyDeleteoooo cant wait to see if Helsingborg and Södertälje are the same as in real life. Although I would have though you would have had the Helsingborg to Helsingør crossing in there too. But still I cant wait for this DLC
ReplyDeleteHelsingborg-Helsingør is an essential crossing in trucking Scandinavia. I can't believe they didn't include it!
DeleteSame as Grenaa - Varberg
DeleteThis is *not* -repeat- NOT "European Ferry Simulator"...
DeleteStunning work its truly amazing what a difference it is between this and the standard map.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for this DLC, but would you guys please add an option so that we can turn off the router to show routes via ferries as I personally prefer to drive on the roads you guys have made rather than the ferry routes
ReplyDeleteSo, the Scandinavia DLC will be released at the end of March?...
ReplyDeleteThere will be new trailers?
ReplyDeleteYes, it's look fantastic as always but when we can get the DLC in our hands. Now it's like licking an ice cream through the glass. Please give us the release date. Please do not torture us any longer.
ReplyDeleteAmazing work. I'm desperately waiting for it's release.
ReplyDeletefake
DeleteExcellent !!! and please do not torture us but when will be released to explore this great DLC.

I too want, I hope they will do iberia dlc
Deletegood stuff ... little thing from myself ... u can travel from KIEL to OSLO with ferry in reallife
ReplyDeleteYes, however, if you read the entire post you would have read that they intentionally made the route options less dense to prevent players from just hopping around the map without actually driving.
Deleteread that post ... but said a little thing from me ... an addition to that ... still miss Flensburg xD
DeleteOh man, this is what we want. It´s amazing work and it´s nice to see the new art of Transportation. I´m driving the last three years by myself and i´m flashed when i see your great art of Detail. Many THX for These Little and big thinks who make the ETS2 to the best Simulator ever. I know in Poland ferry is in Gdynia, not Gdansk. But this map screenshot shows Gdansk instead. Actually Gdynia is on current map. Will it be opened in DLC?
ReplyDeleteActualy the ferry in Gdynia is used only for the route to Karlskrona!!
DeleteNice, there is such route)
Deletewoah Iberian map would be awesome! North of spain is really different from South spain.
ReplyDeleteYes exactly, thanks bro .. we need Spain, Portugal and rest of France....
DeleteI agreed next DLC rest of France, Spain, and of corse Portugal.
Deletefuck you all , gib balkanic dlc
Deletethere should be one more ferry from Bergen to GB
ReplyDeleteI <3 DLC Scandinavia Visit my WoTS profile. https://worldoftrucks.com/en/online_profile.php?id=6411
ReplyDeleteVery nice sights in this expansion, BUT I cannot agree with one of their poor marketing phrase: "..many of the ports in the expansion have the size of entire cities you've seen in current Euro Truck Simulator 2. "
ReplyDeleteWho can say that in the actual ETS2 there are "CITIES" ? I can see just 5-6 streets, poor detailed in the core map (without details, decors...). Things changed a bit regarding the details in "Going East", and now with Scandinavia are getting 100x better. Thumb up !
On the other hand, I insist further for economy modification on the higher levels. Where is the fun when you earn over 100.000 after one delivery ? Bonuses should be slightly decreased, (from 30% to 20%, for example...so on), and the main income also. Fuel economy of 35% on level 6 is again unrealistic.
The game is not so bad, but could be much better, and less boring !
WOW, I love you SCS.
ReplyDeleteDid you keep some surprises for us to discover? or you will shou all of them here!?
Cool!
ReplyDeleteWTF, scs. It's only a quarter of Scandinavia. And you will sell it for 20 dollars. You are very lazy and greedy.
ReplyDeleteIf you don't like it don't buy it.
Delete20 dollars????, No no no. I heard it was around 10€, GOD... Just because they didn't add Finland??
DeleteSig you idiot. you realise there are ONLY 10staff right? idiot.
DeleteSo you meen: 1 person = 1€ ?
DeleteNew cargos??? see
ReplyDeleteThanks for everything.Could you make Turkey DLC pls?
ReplyDeleteThis is great
ReplyDeleteLooking fantastic. Amazing amount of work. I'm even going to have a go at learning blender (and your tools for it) to see how much effort is needed), Can't wait for it to finally be available!

ReplyDeleterealistic of the ferry across the trades that exist in between scandinavia
ps vibeke
there is again crossing German land coil or england but the route you are talking about here is only found in between Denmark ok so this will be a bit will leading information here gives as when the bridge found in between Funen Jutland and in between Jutland and Seeland the we here in Denmark calls for great belt bridge
and forbildels in between Sweden and Denmark which is both a bridge and tunnel for connection
the sidtse information is something man should take with the husband doing

ReplyDeleteThere is more trailer that you need to add:
ReplyDelete- Grain Trailer
http://autoline.info/sf/semi-trailer-grain-truck-WIELTON-NW-3-50m3--12102810450699062800.html
I must correct some people when they say that Finland is not part of Scandinavia.I did look into that subject from elsewhere then Wikipedia witch sometimes is wrong about different stuff. So i did read few dictionarys from different years and i must say i did found something like this from a dictionary, whitch is from 1964 and it stated and i quote Sweden,Norway,Denmark and South West Finland are part of Scandinavia. And those same countrys are also part of Fenno Scandia and these example areas are a part of that Fenno Scandia area.Like for exp.Karelia,Kola Peninsula and few other places.SCS did say that Scandinavia is not landlocked to any place.Well that is completely wrong, because you can drive your car from Sweden to Finland or Norway to Finland or Sweden to Norway or Norway to Sweden. And you can drive from any of those three countries to Russia. And you can take the bridge from Denmark to Sweden and drive to all of the other Nordic countries.I know that because i have been driving in those countries a lot.
ReplyDeleteSCS when DLC i comming out??????????
ReplyDeleteThere is no release date.

I hope lots of people buy this great looking Scandinavian pack to help SCS expand their business and create bigger and better projects for us to enjoy in the future. They look after us with content so let's look after them by buying this dlc.
ReplyDeleteGreat love it..
ReplyDeleteBut you guys in SCS have missed some ferry parts in Scandinavia.
We have one ferry that's go from Gothenburg-Sweden to Kiel-Germany and one that's go from Helsingborg-Sweden to Helsingør-Denmark.. Those are some ferrys that's go with many trucks loading from Sweden to Europe..
"At the same time, we wanted to avoid abuse of the ferry system that would allow players to just "hop" around the map quickly without the need for much driving, so the ferry network is intentionally not as dense as in the real world."
Deletewell nice and impressive but i guess gonna be hard lagging in cities, mind that SCS, we dont have x2 GTX 980
ReplyDeleteIs this available now and when is the next update coming out?
ReplyDeleteWaiting for the announcement of a Eurpean Ferry Simulator.
ReplyDeleteLooks nice!
Asome but i hope it is free!!!!
ReplyDeleteFREE are you NUTS.
DeleteLOL, of course not, they need to make money too!
DeleteYou updated the post, now saying that there are going to be 15 ports instead of 14. I also discovered a change on the map, with the Karlskrona ferry. Did you change the number, because the Karlskrona ferry goes to Gydnia instead of Gdańsk? Thanks for the answer!
ReplyDeleteYeah. I got the old picture as reference and you can clearly see that the Karlskrona rout is going to another place. Wonder why they didn't tell us about the change...
DeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteFirst of all I would like to congratulate SCS for developing this niche of PC games and giving the opportunity to players around the world to connect through ETS 2 and even Scania TS.
Now, I have two questions, I hope you will clear them for me:
1. Will it be able to add this expansion to the game, without having bought Going East in the past?
2. How hard will it go down on system physics and will it require more of our PCs than the latest game release/update?
Good luck developing and bringing more players into this world of ”truckers”.
Thanks,
Răzvan
It looks fantastic!!! Can't wait!

ReplyDeleteAmazon has changed the release date of scandinavia dlc on 24th April. There will be delay or announced date by Amazon was from ass ? What about the date from Excalibur ?
ReplyDeleteThere is no release date.
Delete"Any release date you see published on the Internet is pure speculation coming from distributors or merchants."
WOW!!! That'w perfect!!!
ReplyDeleteThese ferries are a very nice adition to the game!
From what i see though, i'd like to ask something, when we exit the ferry are we going to to it in reverse?? because if you go inside normally like the pictures show, then you'd have to get out in reverse.
That would be nice and more realistic and it would add a litle more dificulty to the game, wich is good!!
I'm from greece and here we have hundreds of ferries conecting all the islands.
Here the ships never dock with the front, only with the back, it's the only entrance. The trucks most usually enter the ship in reverse and exit it normally.
looks fantastic .. Scandinavian Expansion just moved to the top of my wishlist :)
ReplyDeleteSCS !!! When you will be ready with the ETS 2 patch preparing game for the new DLC, when we get it ? Before the release of the DLC, or at the same time ? With the new patch we will get a new truck ?
ReplyDeletecade novelty on the map !!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHow does one become a beta tester for ATS?
ReplyDeletecant wate to use this map
ReplyDeleteOh look, another advertisement teaser for the Scandinavian route add-on, when will it be completed, around August time?? E-mail me when it's ready then and I'll re-install the game, I haven't bothered to play since the New Year, boring, boring, boring.
ReplyDeleteI've been playing OMSI 2 meanwhile.. pretty addictive..ill play ETS2 DLC a bit...then go back in OMSI 2 until whenever the fuck ATS release....some year... -_-' im so hyped about ATS.. ETS2 seems so old and obsolete now :(
Delete"ETS2 seems so old and obsolete now :("
DeleteI disagree.
With all the updates that we had the game feels new not old. When I bought the game it had version 1.0.5 and 3 years after we are on 1.16.2
yeah exactly.. 3 YEARS... but surely the new lighting system will bring a new "look" to the game
DeleteAnd still nothing about Actros MP4 -,- Good work SCS!

ReplyDeleteIf so, you pull the cat's tail, pulling the release DLC Scandinavia a penny to her price. Not 19 euros as it is written, and 2 euros. You'd better dlyanachalo release DLC Scandinavia. and then engaged in American Truсk Simulator, and you'll still half a year to release DLC Scandinavia unhappy with 20 cities. This is nonsense. Run after two hares, you will catch neither!
I agree with you!join.this DLC agony of this game!people have played with all sorts of TSM and PROMODS mod!need early release American Truck simulator!
DeleteСколько можно тянуть?
ReplyDeleteSCS please tell me the release date DLC ???
ReplyDeleteI said STOP stalling SCS !!! Give us the DLC !! I don't give a fuck about your pathetic excuses!
ReplyDelete<< Q :
ReplyDeleteWill ever be able to actually travel on the ferry and get out of our truck??? We need this. Getting out at petrol and service stations would be amazing.
give us release date !!!
ReplyDeletedate set for launch in steam ??
ReplyDeletePlease give us a patch with the new lighting system, and DLS we can still wait.
ReplyDeleteWhere is an update ? its highest time for news now don't you think SCS ? We are waiting for news !!!

ReplyDeleteSCS a lot of people talking about ATS on YouTube that the game is garbage because all you changed is the map, the trucks and the rest is ETS 2. Meaning this game is not unique. We want a good game not no ETS 2 copy. that's way they can't have double trailers on the game because is ETS 2
ReplyDeleteI whant these dlc, I can't wait
ReplyDeleteTwo years for making one DLC, we are tired of waiting
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteavailable double trailer???
ReplyDeleteHey, can't you guys add "Öland" and "Gotland" (the small island near Sweden) as that would spice things up when you can drive in a new environment on two small islands
ReplyDeleteI think this wish, is too late, since the Scandinavia DLC is in the final stages of development
