Mercedes-Benz joining the Euro Truck Simulator 2 garage soon!


We have some great news to share with you today: Our team has just managed to clear the last hurdle and get the final approval which will allow us to finally include Mercedes-Benz Actros in Euro Truck Simulator 2! Let us show you a bunch of screenshots that were used as a part of our showcase during the review process of the almost-finished truck model.


New Mercedes-Benz Actros truck will be available to all Euro Truck Simulator 2 owners for free as a part of game update shortly after Scandinavia DLC release.

As a small bonus, we are also including a raw review video that was used as a part of the approval process to show the truck in the game:

    This is fantastic! Will this also include the old Actros? Meaning the end of Majestic at last? :D I certainly hope so, as it would be odd to have both Majestic (the old one) and Mercedes-Benz (the new one). Regardless, great job!

      Mercedes were clearly never happy with the old ones or they'd have licensed them long ago. I have a feeling we'll only see the new range with Mercedes badge :(

    Great work guys, keep it up!! p.s: there is a small error where i went to upgrade my daf euro 6 to a 510hp engine, there was one engine that had 435hp but when i looked at the decal on the truck, it said 440hp instead, please fix this error as it would be most appreciated! :)

      It's not an error. The engine produces 435HP and the model is badged as a 440.

      If they made the DAF XF e6 with all the chassis options, I'd expect them to do it with the MP4 aswell. Maybe they've only shown the 4x2 because it looks nice with the sideskirt.

    Most accurately reproduced truck to come to ETS2 I think. Thank you to Mercedes-Benz for being picky on this one... she's a beauty!

    I hope at some point there will be time to retro polish older truck models, since this in my opinion does seem to set new standards.

      I saw a reply of a net friend yesterday.He said that Euro trucks doesn't exhaust smoke with many years, maybe it 's because the high tech of gas purify make it happen（I'm not an European so I don't know whether it it true or not. :) ）

      Eeerh sorry to say this to you but there is no dark black interior, that's just the grey interior under shade... Anyways somebody will make a dark black interior mod eventually.

    It's lovly, realy. I hope the view from the cabin will be as nice as from Volvo FH16. You know evan if the uptades of new trucks will be in the future pay, it will be worth the money if you do the trucks like that. I hope you will make more trucks. I also hope to travel by ridig truck soon. Now only remains for us to wait for Scandinavian DLC. Keep it up.

      The Mercedes-Benz Actros is a part of a Euro Truck Simulator 2 update it, the update will most likely come with Scandinavia add-on out together. If you have your Steam ETS2 is updated automatically.

      Der MB Actros wird fast zeitgleich mit dem Skandinavien Add-On raus kommen. Da musst du noch ein bisschen warten. ;)

    The NEW (next) release date is 8 May 2015 and still not confirmed. This way we approach to the next Christmas !!! Almost-finished, soon, few months, couple of weeks, shortly after ...etc. WTF ... really you can write when ? It's so hard to put a goal and pursue to it ? Yeah ... Great job SCS !!! They have us in the ass ... this is true.

      Go to mod sites like SCS forum or ets.lt or any other mod sites you like to search and extract the needed SCS files to install a mod. Put them in the mods folder under the ETS2 folder in My Documents and enable them at the profile page in game to make them work.

      Good luck finding tje mods, and happy trucking!

    My God, SCS...

    I just went here to see if there were some news, and saw it. You don't know how I'm happy today because of this. Since 2011, the Actros MP4 was my favorite truck (yes, I love Scania and Volvo, but I have a special love for this truck too). Thank you so much, I've been waiting for this since ETS 2 was released, and it was the worth wait. Thank you for not making it as DLC but yes a free content.

    I hope the latest version of the car has front and rear fog lights and to assist lamp is set , and also hope the new version of the Mercedes-Benz Actros 16 -speed transmission of a speed gear ratio to achieve the best climbing force at 1500RPM (6KM / H), 2 ~ 13 tooth gear ratio change than can be fine-toothed , 15 -speed gear ratio of 100 kilometers per hour speed at 1500R / MIN speed, 16 -speed gear speed of 100 kilometers per hour can 1100R / MIN, so as to follow the real Mercedes-Benz Actros like 16 -speed gearbox

    Truck is wonderfull and i'm glad to see your great work, but i would like to say one thing. In Actross's interior on silver belt opposite the passenger there is an "Actross" logo. I mean this: http://wstaw.org/m/2015/03/25/1024_11C637_114.png If you could add this logo (in both versions of cab) that will be very nice to see this. I hope you add this.       eu paticularmente gosto de mercedes meu pai trabalha a uns anos numa mercedes actros 2009 diz que e otima ele ja dirigiu scania tbm ele acha scania mt melhor e logico mas mercedes tbm sao caminhoes bons sim. e eu so dirigi uma 1620 toco algumas vezes do meu primo mas gosto de mb sim

      Yea used to drive a daf xf and a merc......hated the merc felt underpowered with horrible ticking engine sound..yuck!!!!!.daf was delicious with a beautiful engine Wish they could put the daf in game with the same feel I wouldn't drive anything else.

    Interior problems:
    1. Where is the navi in the video it should be the radio and the navi on some kind of tablet
    2. The passenger seat it is supposed to be in L shape and the lower bed should fold on the wall and under the bed it should be a small table that is also folding.
    Exterior problems:
    1. The Mercedes-Benz star should be lightened!
    It looks like a well done truck, hope you'll fix those problems

      It's all spot on.

      The star actually isn't lightened at all by standard.
      The Passenger seat in the ''L'' shape is optional.
      And the extra screen is optional, too, and not found in every MP4.

      Only the SOLO STAR interior has the lower bed folded. SCS has choosen the standard interior so its correct like they did!!!

      The extra screen on the right side of the dashboard is the Fleet Board Screen. It makes only sence to order it when u have a big fleet of trucks. If u got only one truck you dont need it necessaryly.

      Ironisch. Met 20 keer "soon" voor meer dan een half jaar na aankondiging, en dan weten ze nog niets. Het word oud en zeer ongeloofwaardig.
      Ja ja, plannen is een kunst schijnbaar. Ik gooi het spel in elk geval aan de kant, want ik ben er inmiddels wel op uitgekeken.
      De Scandinavië map is enkel maar het onderste puntje. De Actros duurt minimaal nog twee maand. World of Trucks zit ook geen verbetering in. Ga zo maar door... 'too little, too late' zoals ze zeggen.

      What makes you think they're making the T-Series? It isn't even in production any more, so I seriously doubt they'll add it to the game, there are some good T- series mods though. .

      They are going to release it when its READY. If you read the previous blog posts, they have said that they want to fix all bugs and test the DLC before official release. In the last blog post regarding Scandinavia DLC SCS mentioned "Our goal is to put Scandinavia DLC in your hands within the next two months."

    I'm curious what are your plans for the future. After the release of the Scandinavian DLC, ATS is to be built. Something seems, however, that we wait a few years for ATS. You wrote that you do not release a ATS unlicensed truck manufacturers. In my opinion it's time to take care of rigid trucks. Map of Europe is already done, it's time to release a new game.     Sorry for the off-topic question, but can anyone tell me if real Scania R trucks have one or two reverse gears? I want to make a realistic gearbox for the Scania R, including the two crawler gears. In the technical data sheets of the R trucks it states that there are two reverse gears, but in the table with the gear ratio's (in the same document) there is only one reverse gear..?
