  3. PERFECT! Finally, a drop of realism in the perfect highway code of GTS, ETS 1, UKTS and so on. Best adition to the game, in my point of view regarding the static part.

    Also, it would be great to add accidents and STAU zones.


    ...also, loading the trailers on to boats and ferries or trains, would be something really cool.

  5. Great one! I bet though they're always there right? I remember from Hard Truck 2 (King of the Road) that occasionally a road was flooded, an accident happened or there were roadworks, which eventually went away again. That would be perfect for this!

    It is wonderful!!!!, but how road works will be managed in ets 2 ? are they will be managed by randoming? and/or it is the player will decide (with road work manager interface for example )where road works will be ...?

  12. Woohoo, this is something! Perfect! May we hope that those roadworks will be temporary and then they appear elsewhere - as it was in PTTM? But if they will be stationary, still, they looks great. Another thing which levels up gameplay - many thanks! :-)

  22. Love the pictures. It would be even nicer if the road work was not always there, just once in a while, but if you can't manage to do that. then that would not be a problem. At least there is improvement from previous games. Such beautiful scenery.

  26. Hi ... im a huge fan of your games and have put in around 300 hours on UK truck simulator and about 200 on the old 18 wheels of steel (that's a lot for me)
    Im really looking forward to this ETS2 release.

    In regards to steering wheel support will there be better optimization settings for high end wheels like the Logitech g25, gt and g27. They were ok in the previous games but i could never make them perfect if you know what i mean. I hate playing with a pad and would realy like to see some more realistic feedback and sensitivity when using my GT wheel. Also will the game support full wheel rotation?

    Thanks for your time and i have no doubt that this game will be an enormous as i have enjoyed all of your previous games :D

    Good luck and plzzzz don't rush ... i would rather see a brilliant game late than an unfinished game early haha, unfortunatly most producers nowadays find it easier to release games unfinished lol. But i have high hopes for a dedicated team like yourselves :D

  32. Devs, it's so great to see that you do your best to prevent monotony in gameplay - these screens look absolutely lovely. However, as others already said, I really, REALLY do hope you will be able to come up with some sort of randomization on the appearance of these maintenance areas.

    King of the Road back in 2002 already had such a system, so I hope you will find your own workaround to accomplish this randomization - hell, even if the game would store two different versions of these areas in the memory (a maintenance and non-maintenance version) and would choose one of them randomly when we are nearby would be enough... :)

  37. uh, tahts all is nice, but what about tandem trucks? We want them, isn¨t it? Why this tandems can not be in the game, when there are tandem trailers for doubles? Tandem trucks like MAN TGX, Scania,.... etc. Please.

  51. I hope as well you do something with the stupidity of the AI traffic doing 50 kph on single carraigeway roads when the speed limit is higher . Especially as they all group up together and then slow down even more in ETS1/UKTS .

  52. i can seriously see this messing up the game if the roadworks are for a long distance . will they be traffic light controlled ? What happens if the AI traffic doesnt get through when the lights change and both crashing into each other in the roadwirks blocking the road . Also will be boring if they are permanently on the same stretch of road

  53. Great work guys.. Also, try to add ferry travel like UKTS and try to make the road repair works RANDOM.. Not static.. For example, if its near Lisbon in Week 1, shift it to somewhere near Boredeaux for second Week and so on, as it will give a much more realistic feel.. I don't want to see the same repair works on the same site in Week 4.. ;-) Cheers..

    thats better than in all my dreams about ets2, the world is better and better and better, I cant wait any longer, the first step what I will do when I know the release date of ets2, I will have holidays from work and only play ets2 day and night!!

    I like the machines and the realistic scenery more than 100% scs!

    please hurry up with more screens and the release of eurotrucksimulator2... the fans are so hungry about it...

    Please change:
    - the sky's color (too much magenta color)
    - daylight settings
    - vegetation colors (not only green!!!)

    And then it will be much more life-like the game!!

    PLEASE don't make the roadworks static....make them appear randomly...

    PS: While you are still working on it....PLEASE IMPLEMENT A LIFTAXLE/ BOGGIE/ PUSHER-Button...
    Just to lower or raise the liftaxle,boggie or pusher...Will be realistic as H*ll....Because you don't drive a fully loaded trailer (50-52 tonns here in Norway) with liftaxle/boggie UP :P
    Exept wintertime when it could be slippery and you will need extra weight on the "drive-axle". But PLEASE make an boggielift/ liftaxle/ pusherlift feature.....Can you please say something in the next "issue" or blog-post about what kind of funktions you would add to the game? Ex. liftaxle button....rotor-lights..customisation options and things like that?? ETS, GTS, Haulin, PTTM and Extreme Trucker was BRILLIANT GAMES...ETS2 will probably be the BEST GAME EVER....Kudos to you guys at SCS...I DON'T HAVE WORDS....HOW DO YOU COME UP WITH ALL THIS???.....Greetings from a ETS-Trucker in Norway.....PS: Can you please tell which types of vehicle would be in the game...Ex: 4x2 6x2 6x4 8x4 and things like that?? pusher, tandem, heavy haul...and "european axles" haha :P

    This game is not in Norway. Non of their games is (exept mods of course)

    SCS I love this, this way I don't need do download mods to get road work. Thanks.

    By the way, if you have a map edition, pleace make so that you can impland destinations. So that you can drive to Oslo in Norway with a load (If someone make a mod for this) Or to Hurgada in Egypt or to Sweden, brasil, USA etc.

    When it comes to some theemes SCS them self do not know the answer. They have not jet published a realise date. This becouse they don't know themself. When they know they tell uss.

    All we know is that the game will be published this year. Not tomorrow or the next weak. Mabie in Nowember/Desember.

    I would like to thank you for all those good moments I had playing your game. While I can't await ETS 2, and we were brought lot's of lovely new additions and addons to the gameplay, I rather would like to come up with some points, which might also improve the gameplay:
    - Game shall not freeze when having music ticked off and still trying to load an internet web-stream. That made around 12 hours of driving go down into the drains. (German Truck Simulator 1.32)
    - Point system shall not go nuts after some time (German Truck Simulator 1.32). While I lovely accept additional bonus, a route of 600 kms does not equal 10420 kms, and while it's lovely jumping 2-3 levels during one drive, it still busts the gameplay.
    - Being able to see own trucks driving along employees driving them, and having the possibility to see the drivers names above the truck, when ticked on. (Just an idea)
    - A bit more real behaviour of drivers. I don't know if you have ever played Pizza Tycoon (sorry for comparing), but employees tend to be late, getting sick, leaving company, etc.
    - Flexible money system. My employees cannot improve themselves, or I cannot get them any bonus or award if done real good work (in a form of a booze, medal or something)
    - Forcing of routes or goods for any driver. No possibility to specialize truckers to specific loads.
    - More different vehicles while on route. Buses, vans, motorbikes (I know, hard to handle well, because of the limitations of the engine), cheap and luxurious cars (no Ferraris, just the above average things, like a BMW X5).
    - Police cars. Yes, I know, that 18 wheels had some issues with that, but I would really happy to get checked by the police during a route.
    - Log book of any route. Like in real life, you have to get that log give in, taken out, logged everything, and that could be also checked by the police, and in case something is missing, getting fined. I know, this might be a good idea for later times.

    We need a service of management of employees and fleet, to have more control of our trucks and trailers purchased, and who in the hands of employees. As a colleague said above, it is good to have more human employees. With illness, vacation, and so on.

  92. I agree with many other people that this will be a great addition to the game!

    A few suggestions:
    -Be able to pickup and deliver loads to the construction sites
    -Make the objects in the construction sites non-static
    -After a while, have the sites change (change size and shape) although that would probably be hard to do

    Keep up the good work SCS! I'm really looking forward to ETS2!

  94. I must admit I'm impressed. Although there is still a space to work on. I mean, I'm truck and truck game's fan, thus reality is a criteria that bothers me. At first, it should be said that I haven't seriously played any truck game of SCS since 18wos haulin or ETS, thanks to hardware restrictions.
    Now, I have some ideas about the most complete and flawless truck game, but sure it's a matter of time, money and will.
    -So, what about having the ability to glance out of the window to the sides or forward, so it'd be much easier to see what is right under the cabin.

    -Another one isn't really necessary for the game, but would possibly increase realism and that's seeing hands on steering wheel and gear shift and while turning the wheel hands moving also.

    -Now in predecessors I was really annoyed whith a light system. I mean, isn't it better to assign high beam to a separate key than a cycle system through all light options.

    -I've seen a video and read that developers worked on AI and I should thank them. Althoug in the video, there could be still seen some troubles (some could say glitches), but still, it seemed to be playable. I'm gratified by developer's effort in this part because when I remeber at the time I was playing Haulin, was waiting at intersection and a car coming from behind struck my trailer and I got some reward decrease, I got pretty mad.
    Also AI cars should give direction indication long enough to recognize and would be better, if they would slow down during a longer time than just by stopping (it could be also seen on highways, where the car ahead just stop and afterward start moving just because there somewhere is a vehicle further).

    -On motorways and some primary state highways there are ubiquitous crash barriers. I wouldn't complain if they, and road signs too,were a bit farther from a shoulder so while playing I wouldn't worry about crashing in them.

    -Now, there are some gas stations, why do I have not the option to climb down the cabin and fill my tanks with fuel instead of stopping on some virtual marker, shutting down engine, pressing T and drive off.
    If having the option to leave cabin, the option to connect air pipes and electric by myself (not by game) when attaching trailer (or some additional activities). I don't like how the game attack the trailer and I just get close to it.

    -Loading/ unloading (pretty normal activity for people working in haulage ).
    -balloon effect on curtain trailers
    -physics (at least basic one) for a load on a trailer and better physics for towed vehicles
    -more possible vehicles driven (types of truck) - not only a tractor (and trailer), but also smaller trucks, tandem trailers (with axles in center and on sides, thus the front turning) --> and the physics for it

    -What about the world itself? Isn't it better to drive through small but very detailed map than large but very plain, without primary state highways and B-roads (other types of vehicle).

    -In companies where we take jobs, why is there just a one trailer possible to attach or ehy do we have to attach at all. What about having one trailer and load goods on it, transport it somewhere not to a company like we could see until now, but to some warehouse and ther unload it by forklift?

    -The ubiquitous radar system also doesn't add the realism.


    And there is even more and I think a lot people thought of it before I've written it down and some of them where surely developers. I know, those ideas would make the game really complex and as I said before, it needs people, money and time (or will if you want) but hey, is it really a problem?

  95. Very interesting!!! I wish they made the game like you describe. I fear that unless the map is bigger, better models of trucks and flatbed, the other will be the same ... like GTS.

  96. I like the texture of the road. It is more lifelike and realistic. I would like to have accidents at random spots at random times, not always there. Beautiful screens though.

  98. on veut un nouveau système pour gérer nos employés, par exemple : on peut leur donner des vacances et non pas travailler tous les jours, ainsi qu'on peut les assigner a prendre des trajets bien défini.

    autre exemple :des conducteurs qui auront un accident et avoir des blessures ou meurent durant leur travail.

    et si un ou plusieurs employé sont en vacance ou ont eu un accident ils doivent être remplacer pour mieux gérer la situation. et sinon on risquera de perdre nos clients et les bénéfices de notre société va diminuer.

    On doit aussi payer des taxes sur notre société, et ces taxes augmenteront si notre société devient plus grande.

    si vous faites cela le jeu deviendra plus difficile .

Don't forget, the game is not OpenTTD or Transport Tycoon or Transport Giant, whatever, it focuses mainly on the transportation.

    I think similar improvements, like Pizza Tycoon has might be helpful, and such might be possible within the game, like drivers getting hurt or dying.

    Yeah...I know that the games ain't in Norway...But if it was in Spain or something (IF they have 3-axled trucks that ain't pusher :P)
    You don't drive a fully loaded trailer with boggie/liftaxle up ;)

    Hmm....Can you guys in SCS say something about what countries will be in the game?? Wondering if Scandinavia and Norway will be in the game ;)
    Would be great...and make the game EVEN bettter :D

    But will be the road repairs dynamic, and make traffic jams? And how is it in big City(London,Rom,Berlin,Paris) will be there many vehicles on the road? Do the road repairs teleport or how in the real life(i think no)
    And what about accidents? DO i must wait for the Police? Or it will be like in ETS1. And the KI:
    Will the KI make accidents, and then a police car come and despawn the vehicles?
    I hope the Ideas will be made in the game.
    And for me is gameplay better than graphic, well graphic don't interest me.

    NOW you just CANT put your foot on the pedal till you reached your destination, you MUST have to WATCH OUT! better then ETS where your truck could reach the 140 miles a hour or kilometer a hour..its not a dakar truck, simple driving 140 and go from holland to french in 15 min without using the brakes +1
