Time of day
One area where we hope to get considerably better than any of our previous games is day/night cycle in ETS2. The new rendering engine with deferred shading and HDR allows for a lot of new cool things. We are still not done with tweaking the effects, but things look quite promising.

ReplyDeleteHope you get buck all the money you put in that game. Please give us updates every day. For previews post really great work, I see you added a smaller cityes which is great. Hope you add some villages with really tiny streets too.
Can we have a list with the cityes/town aviable in ETS2?

At the last picture (cab-view)its finally pretty dark outside and interior is nice dark too.
Makes it already 2x more realistic compared to your previous games.

I agree .. I think we're all pretty curious about it!
So far we've confirmation of 19 cities and there will be 60 in the game :) Can you show or tell us more?! No need for list but small hints can do the job too :)

great job. the panel is good, and it does not get the phone because it was cool. the lighting is great, the nights have to be dark anyway. want to see images of climate change ... could disseminate images? Thank you.
ReplyDeleteAwesome improvement in one of the more troubled aspects of German Truck Sim... Now 22:00 indeed looks like 22:00. Excellent work, and I just love the nighttime lights: street lamps, hotel signs, the Moon - all look perfect. Dani however has right, maybe the dashboard has more HDR than needed, but it really needs just a tiny tweak.

I follow every post you made on this blog, so far you're doing a great job but if you leave the same bug with glowing dash ill burn whole my SCS truck games collection!

ReplyDeleteNice effects, really realistic. Please make that moon a bit smaller, and let is cast less light like in real life. Also, too much glare on the dashboard. But I do understand, unlike many people, that these pictures are not finished. But I really like that night are actually dark. And yes, make it so that the gauges only brighten if we turn the lights on, like in real life.

Very good! This image is MAN amazing, and the interior of the little that I could see, that this very good. And the last image already see a little bit and this great city, much higher than the previous games, is also seen to put more points of rest, like the hotel at the entrance of the city. So to see that you are evolving a lot, by hard work. I only have 11 years but I'm your fan simulators, their games truck. SCS Congratulations!

ReplyDeleteThis moon is good. You should know that the closer you are to the equator, the moon looks bigger in size. For example in Italy, the moon will be bigger than in Denmark.
ReplyDeleteConfuses me, why the windshield of the truck the night is darker than the left side. On the windshield is tinted? I do not like. Let those who want to go with this option is selected toned with an upgrade of his truck in service. I do not want to have my truck with obstacles and recommended options, I do not need. So it was in previous games in the series. Think about it, SCS.
ReplyDeleteAlso you should pay attention to the lighting effects and possibly adjust them differently, because everything lights burn so equally can not, the lights may not actually be such a blur effect - it looks very cheap and shameful. Plus, car headlights are different, they are arranged in different ways, just different bulbs and accordingly they are differently illuminated.

ReplyDeleteThe moon is OK, it's always big immediately after rising. But, it should shrink as it travels across the sky. That's something to discuss, actually.

ReplyDeletethats nice, but please make the night dark, sometimes if the moon shines it is a little bit lighter but at night without moon it must be DARK :)

Moon is way to big. Please make night really as night. When weather is cloudy at night and on roads without lanterns and any light make everything look almost pitch black. In real life it is like that. Only head lights show roads and nearby trees, rest is pitch black. This will make driving at night not only realistic but very immersive with extra feel for driving :) Dont leave it to moders, you guys please make night realistic.

Remember in reallistic is cables, which are channeled from truck to trailer. (cables for air, breaks, lights...)
